Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent location and service The staff was excellent and the rooms where very clean and comforable. April 16, 2014
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Do not bring a bike into the room I usually love this hotel, but after my experience with the staff at Moab's Holiday Inn Express I will not stay at another one. I will also tell everyone I know not to stay there! I was treated as If I was trying to get away with something by innocently walking a bike into my room, within 2 minutes, staff knocked on the door, said we could not have bikes in the room, so we took the bikes to a provided room in the basement. Upon leaving we were charged $100.00, because we had the bikes in the room. I was told that they told me when I checked in that we could not have bikes in the room, and I'm sure they did say it, but I did not hear it...so I was treated as if I was trying to cheat the system. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great Pool The pool in this hotel is great for kids. The waterfall with the fire over the top is a hit with the kids. The fireplace next to the pool is a great area for the adults to hang out and converse about the days events. Unfortunately the pool towels are very small we use towels about this size for hand towels at home. The staff also need to ensue there are plenty of towels for the patrons to use. Every day they ran out and it took a good amount of time to replenish. The breakfast area and selection can please everyone. We opted not to do breakfast at the hotel one morning and spent almost $50.00 for a family of 4. We ate at the hotel the rest of the stay and enjoyed it. April 15, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by traveling with children The staff is very friendly! The pool area is fantastic! We had 12 people, 3 families. We were all very satisfied! April 13, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good location, friendly staff The room was clean and the bedding comfortable. We enjoyed our stay and will definitely return next year. Staff was great at recommending activities and very helpful. April 13, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great room in a beautiful town We stayed in several hotels during a 7 day road trip, including other Holiday Inn Express, and this was by far our favorite hotel. The room was very clean and well equipped with even a small kitchenette (sink, microwave and refrigerator). We did not get to make use of the hotel pool, but it was very nice with a hot tub and fire ring. The hotel was also in an ideal location close to the main part of town and near Arches National Park. Of our seven destinations, this is the one that we wish to return to for an extended stay. April 13, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Location Great Location to Arches NP - 2 min drive from park entrance. Also great location if going to Canyonlands NP - takes about 25 min from hotel. All restaurants in downtown Moab are also about 2 min drive from hotel. Will stay again in hotel. April 13, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Suites are not suites I reserved a suite, expecting a room with a partition, but we our room was just a slightly larger room with two queen beds... Thus, I did not sleep well as I had to listen to snoring all night. Otherwise, the hotel was great! April 11, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Comfortable bed and very nice room This hotel seemed pricey but I checked others and the rate was competitive for Moab over spring break. We were very happy with the room. It was very nice and relaxing. The shower was slippery, be aware of that. Overall we were very pleased with the accommodations and will stay there again when we pass through Moab. April 8, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent Stay This hotel has a great location, very updated or new. We could not have asked for a better hotel to stay at, just perfect and very clean. April 7, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great "base camp"!!! This hotel has the most courteous, helpful, and friendly staff that I have ever run into at any hotel. The rooms are great - clean, quiet, and outfitted with everything one would need for a "base camp" from which to explore our fantastic National Parks and other Public Lands. I strongly recommend this hotel to anybody visiting the Moab area. April 6, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Stay Overall a great place to stay. The rooms were very clean, the staff was very attentive. April 4, 2014
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Clean rooms but horrible breakfast Our room and common areas of the property were clean. The pool/hot tub area was over crowded each time we tried to use it. The bike storage room was difficult to access due to stairs, doors, etc. As Moab is a biking area, we wish the property offered a bike wash and repair station. Extremely disappointed in the breakfast. Nothing but bland white breads, fake eggs, horrid omelets, terrible "fruit" juice. Not a good start to our active days. We ended up buying our own food at the grocery store and/or eating at some of the breakfast spots in town. The staff was very friendly and the property is well maintained. April 3, 2014
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by busy place Just got back from a weekend getaway. The place was sold out so take this with a grain of salt... but it was noisy. Starting early in the AM with the staff pushing laundry carts (clank clank clank) and into the evening. Good place to go if you don't need a solid night's sleep. April 2, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great adventure base Location is great for all sort of Moab area adventures. Easy access to National & State Parks, bike trails, river adventures and hiking make this a great place to stay. It's a favorite. April 2, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Service The hotel and room looked nice and was a nice size. The staff was very nice and helpful. The pool was smaller than we thought, really liked the fire pit. Liked mini fridge and micro in room. Some of the breakfast items were cold but there were lots of choices. Beverage station needs to be moved. Had to wait in line for breakfast for a bit. Really close to Arches National Park (reason for our stay). April 1, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Moab Stay--great views We enjoyed our stay in Moab very much. The view outside our room was marvolous during the sunrise and sunset. April 1, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Moab Getaway Upon check in, there was a mix-up with the rate I was given when I made the reservation and the rate they were charging upon check in. It was resolved however and they honored the original rate I was quoted. Our room was not ready by the 3pm check in time. We had to wait until after 4pm. This hotel is busy, but the rooms were still quiet. Beds are comfortable, shower was great and I loved the Bath and Body Works toiletries. The staff was friendly. The outdoor pool area is wonderful. At night the fire pit is going and my kids loved the flames above the "waterfall" in the pool. The pool temperature was too chilly for spring weather, but the hot tubs were warm and toasty. Even though the hotel was packed, the pool area was never too busy for my kids to swim. The breakfast was good, but often, the room was full and there was no where to sit. We stayed in a standard room, with 2 queens and there was room for a pack and play for our baby to sleep in. March 31, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by our stay in Moab We limped into Moab with a broken down truck. Eventually, the manager, Jeremy, worked with us to allow us to extend our stay an fourth night to give us time to get our truck fixed. He moved around other reservations and upgraded someone, just to help us stay in the rooms we had started with. He was very generous and understanding. We found the staff to be very friendly, the bike storage room a big relief, the breakfasts easy and helpful, and the hot tub to be HOT and wonderful. Having this hotel made our stay liveable, despite the challenges of the truck, etc. March 31, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Friendly staff and relaxing atmosphere Nice and clean with a comfortable atmosphere. Lot's of space around the lobby and eating area. Outdoor pool and hot tubs were great even in mid-March. The staff was great too. Very friendly and welcoming. We'll be back March 30, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Disturbed evening due to water feature. Evening spoilt after a long day by having to leave room after fire alarm was sounded. Fire turned out to be a water problem. We were left standing outside with no information as to what was happening. Was not impressed by hotel staff who seemed to be in a blind panic. Just as well it was not a fire. When fire fighters arrived we were surprised to see that it was one man in a pickup truck. Once just as well it was not a fire! Apart from that it was a nice place to stay but very overpriced. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Experience Had a wonderful stay in the HI Express Moab. The rooms were spacious, clean, and modern. Staff was friendly and helpful. Service staff in breakfast area were very helpful and friendly. Hotel was clean and up to date. Loved the variety of channels in the hotel room for when we were relaxing at the end of the day. Would have liked to have the pool heated since it was so cold in the evenings. Pool was almost unusable because of the temperature. March 29, 2014
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by not so good Booked on line three days in advance, did not get a room I requested. front desk was not help full to get a room I booked. Overpriced March 26, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Enjoyed our stay. Friendly and courteous staff. Well decorated and clean room with comfortable bed. The breakfast area was large enough to accommodate their guests with a nice array of food choices for breakfast. March 26, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Moab hotel This hotel is great, however in typical HIE fashion the breakfast is terrible. It is the same breakfast you get at all of them around the country, however HIE needs to get better food going. I appreciate it is not a full service kitchen, however the boxed food needs to go. If you enter with the mindset that the room rate just covers the room plus a bagel and coffee you will not be disappointed (plan to spend additional $ getting breakfast at one of the great bakeries in town). Otherwise this was a very good hotel. March 22, 2014
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Clean Motel Very Clean Motel, friendly staff willing to help. Some bonehead guest was smoking cigarettes one after another in a non smoking motel. TV channels very slow March 21, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Our minds have been changed about hotels in Moab! We have always rented houses when we come to Moab, since our few attempts at hotels have been horrible. Holiday Inn Express was very impressive. The staff was SO nice and friendly. The rooms were very clean and the beds were oh-so-comfy!! My husband and I rarely relax in front of the TV but we did staying here, for a lot of the day (it was super windy outside). The heated pool and hot tub area is really nice as well! My only suggestions are for breakfast, which it looks like from other reviews they are working on healthy options. Also, I looked up the amenities beforehand so I knew how to prepare and wasn't expecting a microwave, fridge and hair dryer in our room!! The website didn't even mention any of these. This would have been great to know ahead of time... we could have planned some of our meals differently. They should advertise this!!! Overall, awesome stay though. Thank you!!! March 19, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Burst pipe in lobby did not frazzle staff nor detract from our enjoyment. We don't usually expect the red carpet treatment when we check in to a hotel or motel, but when we arrived at the Holiday Inn Express in Moab, there were lights flashing and many men in uniform waiting for us. It seems that a main water pipe near the lobby burst just before our arrival, and all the city's finest - fire, police and ambulance teams - were on hand to deal with the problem, just as we pulled in. After a few minutes delay, we waded through an inch of water to the front desk, where the stressed but unphased clerk checked us in smoothly and upgraded our room, without being requested to do so, in consideration of our unusual check-in experience. The two-queen bed plus sofa room was huge, modern, spotless and comfortable. Everything about the hotel met our expectations, with the sole exception being the hot breakfast, which offered the usual boring variety of fattening and carbohydrate-laced American breakfast foods. March 18, 2014
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Didn't get what I booked The conditions were fine overall, but I booked a suite and I got one room with an extra sofabed. The booking site clearly says and shows in pictures that the suite is supposed to have a separate living area, which was absent in our 'suite'. As a result we were 5 people crowded in one room, which didn't make for a very pleasant sleeping experience. Besides, for one room it was rather expensive. March 18, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent Location and Staff Very nice hotel and very friendly staff. Stay would have been better except there was a family next to us who let their young children run around loose until nearly 11:00 pm. They even let them out of the room by themselves because they tried to get into our room with the card key, then loudly argued with each other about whether the one was doing it properly. Not the hotel's fault, but did ruin the night. March 18, 2014
