We will stay here again when we return to Moab. The hotel was clean, comfortable and modern. The price was right. The location is perfect--very close to Arches and not far from Island in the Sky in Canyonlands. Very close to the heart of Moab. The beds were comfortable and didn't have those horrible bedspreads full of germs that you get in so many other hotels.

We cancelled our last night there they showed a refund on our bill but didn't credit our credit card. Said when we booked no refunds. Wasn't on our cc statement or when I booked.
.be very careful when booking to make sure you get you money back if you cancel in time. Will not stay there again.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Gbloke Excellent all round
We couldn't have had a better stay. The room was great—very nicely decorated, perhaps even recently remodeled, with enough space for a family of six in 2 queen beds and a sofa bed. The staff were incredibly friendly and went the extra mile on more than one occasion to make us feel well taken care of. And the pool and hot tubs were the perfect icing on the cake. We'll definitely stay here again. We'd definitely recommend it to anyone who's thinking about giving it a try.

Entire staff was courteous and professional, but Alyssa and Kelly were exceptional. Not only were they helpful with accommodations and hotel issues, but also provided excellent recommendations on local area eateries, shopping and outdoor activities. Recent hotel makeover looks/feels great. We will be back in the area in the future and will definitely plan to stay at this property again.

I booked a King Suite on my company travel site. Upon check in the the clerk said " oh we have upgraded you to a queen suite" i asked how is that an upgrade when i booked a king suite? she replied "Really"
I was then told my room was not ready yet. I left and come back in a few hours. There was no soap, shampoo, conditioner, or hand lotion.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by hobbs69 ..if you need a bed for the night you are at the right place, but that's all you get
Stayed for 3 nights to experience Moab and surrounding national parks, hotel is okay but staff provides a basic service and will handout the key, no other service will be provided. Breakfast is pretty basic.. as it is outside of the town, you need a car for everything.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Wolverine40957 Overpriced and Dated
The rooms are overpriced and dated. I expected lower prices this late in the tourist season. They're even MORE expensive mid-summer. With all the $ the hotel rakes in gouging tourists, you'd think they'd reinvest some of it to upgrade/update the rooms. Even the pillows were below par, and that's an easy, cheap fix. It there had been another IHG property along my route south, closer than a couple of hours, I would have stayed elsewhere.

I loved the location, out of the traffic of town but close enough to get to the heart of Moab in a few minutes. The view out my window was lovely!
The room and bathroom were large and comfortable and the sevice was excellent. I will return next time I visit the area.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Heath38 Nice hotel in a great setting.
This hotel has been remodeled since my last stay. Moab is an expensive place to stay, but I love the area and my son loved the pool. My only drawback was the kids running the hallway. We had a lot of families due to a school break, but the parental oversight was a bit lacking.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by aveits Great hotel in Moab
Great proximity to Arches, Dead Horse State Park, & Canyonlands. Staff was very friendly. We checked into our room & it appeared the previous guest(s) had come back after the room was cleaned (there was a little trash & their keys were on the table). Called the front desk & they were very apologetic & moved us to another room right away (an upgraded room too!). We *really* enjoyed the hot tub after long days spent hiking & biking. A great experience that we will definitely repeat!

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by ElleElle Perfect spot for relaxing after mountain biking
This is a great motel. The rooms are spacious and the beds are comfortable. Great breakfast with lots of choices for all tastes. The bike storage was convenient and secure, giving us that peace of mind as well as the ability to,work on the bikes indoors. We would definitely stay again. The staff are fantastic, friendly and helpful.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by AZParks Comfortable with great view
After three nights in older hotels in Santa Fe and Taos we were thrilled to stay in this newer hotel with beautiful views. Our October stay was during a less busy time of the year and the location should have made it a quick drive to the national monuments. Unfortunately the gov't shutdown meant we couldn't visit The Arches or Canyonlands. The hotel staff was friendly and helpful suggesting sites we could still see that weren't affected by the shutdown. Our room was very comfortable with lots of space, gorgeous view of the mountains and pool, and great bed and bathroom. Heavy morning rain prevented us from going to Dead Horse Point so we had time for a leisurely breakfast. Good choices for breakfast and a nice setting. Although we missed out on seeing most of the beautiful sites surrounding Moab, our stay was still enjoyable because of the comforts of the hotel and the great restaurants and shopping in the center of town. We will return in April and will again book our room at this lovely hotel.

I was promised an upgrade to suite two different occassions with the latest one day prior to my arrival. The hotel was interested in the tour bus business and did not provided suite as promised. Will not stay at this Holiday Inn in future travel.

Unlike other hotels with stiff rules and regulations, this property was all about the customer. The pool facilities are awesome with a great arch dome directly in line with the area. The staff was great and every request was honored from late check out to extra pillows. We regularly stay in Holiday Inn Express facilities and we would suggest that others learn from the service at this location.

My wife & I enjoyed our stay immensely. The hotel staff was friendly, courteous & knowledgeable. The hotel surroundings were awesome and relaxing. Our room was very inviting, and the bathroom was very, very clean. The breakfast was fantastic. There was certainly more than enough food & variety. The breakfast was fresh & delicious. We had a very enjoyable, peaceful & tranquil stay. Upon checking-out we did converse with the manager, & conveyed our comments about our pleasant stay at the hotel. As with the other staff at the hotel, the manager was polite & affable, and informed us that many hours of hard work went into making the hotel welcoming for all visitors. All I can say is that the hard work definitely paid-off!! We would certainly stay at the Moab Holiday Inn Express again, when we visit!

Pool is fabulous ....and the wonderful staff allowed me to lap swim before 8:00 AM. The setting in Moab is stunning. The breakfast area is inviting, seats many, and is the best ever. The staff were ALL friendly and helpful. We found them to be warm, hospitable and guest oriented. We have stayed in a lot of HIs! This was the best,

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Sidney Greatly Overpriced For The Value Received
When I booked this room only a queen "SUITE" was available. When we checked in we found the room not to be a "SUITE" but merely a slightly longer room with a couple off half height stub walls sort of separating the room into 2 areas. The room was supposed to be relatively new but the walls were so thin we could clearly hear our neighbors. Every footstep over our head, toilet flush and shower could be clearly heard.
There were 2 off road groups in the hotel at the same time. They dominated virtually everything in the hotel. The parking lot resembled an off road pit stop/repair facility. Hotel staff seemed to think this was OK.
This hotel has about 119 rooms with only 3 washing machines. It was only after a really long wait that we could wash up 1 1/2 weeks of dirty underwear. More of that off road group domination.
After a 6+ hour visit to Arches National Park we returned to find our room had not been serviced. Excuses were given and after another 35-40 minutes we we had a cleaned up room.
Right now we are at Bryce National Park in a much nicer room of the same basic floor plan with a room rate a bit above half what we paid at this hotel. Makes me wonder why management in Moab feels their less quality product deserves the much higher room rate. Both areas are heavy tourist traffic areas so it can't just be a soak the tourist syndrome!!!

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by swingf53 Comfortable room, great location
The Holiday Inn at Moab was a comfortable room with a very comfortable bed. After a day of hiking in 100+ heat, we did not take advantage of an attractive pool and spa. Just too beat, but the shower and bed were fabulous. Decent, early breakfast too. And I think Arches National Park is an underappreciated and under visited treasure. Wonderful scenery and rainbows.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Pisces32 Gave us a room that was already occupied
In all my years of travelling and staying in hotels, I was never given a room that was already occupied. Needless to say we were quite surprised when we tried to open the door to the room we were given to have someone yelling back at us that the room is already occupied! The guest at the other side of the door was not pleased either to have someone try to enter their room. The clerk at the front desk tried to placate us by offering us a discount, but I must say I am not pleased with the service of the hotel. Prior to booking the reservation, I called a few times only to be put on hold and then I was told I would be put through to central booking to make a reservation. I gave up and ended up reserving a room on my iphone. So much for customer service, more like lack of service.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by SamuraiJPN Hard to Find the Hotel
The sign for the hotel and the hotel itself is down a hill and is blocked by a huge sign for another hotel that is in the same area when coming from the Grand Canyon/Monument Valley direction. We drove by it before we realized it was there. Had to turn around and go back. They should have a bigger sign on the highway or move their main sign up higher.
