Front desk staff very helpful. One of our party had some mobility issues so they made sure we had a main floor room which in this case was an upgrade to a suite. Very nice gesture. Hotel was clean and very comfortable. Had the usual Holiday Inn breakfast which if OK but needs a bit more variety.

At a recent stay in Moncton,NB upon arrival and check-in we were informed that we had gotten a free upgrade to a king suite...very nice and no charge. The room was very clean and the bed very comfortable. Breakfast had many choices. I will return to this property.

The map provided at registration provided an answer to all of the questions we had. The front desk crew were friendly and efficient.

I arrived late and was given a suite at the end of the hall on the first floor. So far, so good but it was all downhill from there.
Among the things wrong with the room: 3 clocks and none of them had the same (or correct) time. A large centipede crawled out from one of the bedskirts as I entered the bedroom side of the suite. The phone by the bed didn't have a cord to connect it to the wall so it was just the base and handset. Both of the doors to the bathroom squeaked terribly and neither stayed open. The PTAC unit in the room was so loud when it kicked on that it woke me several times in the night. There's a blackout film adhesive on the windows but it was peeling off and torn. The condition of the furniture was dirty and worn.
If I'd stayed in one of the no name motels in town I might have expected such a list of problems but I expected more of IHG. This place is in desperate need of staff training and renovation.

I ALWAYS CHOOSE HI EXPRESS WHEN TRAVELLING PROVIDING THERE IS ONE IN THAT LOCATION.
SERVICE IS ALWAYS TOP NOTCH, WITH FRIENDLY, PROFESSIONAL STAFF.
WHILE I WAS STILL WORKING I STAYED IN YOUR HOTELS IN EVERY LOCATION WHERE I WORKED, AND WHEN IN SCOTLAND DID THE SAME.

We missed the driveway and ended up on the expressway. While the large, high HIE sign was there, the actual driveway was hard to see. A small sign at the exact entrance would have been beneficial.
