Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Choice We decided on a last minute trip to Montgomery for our 28th Anniversary and planned to stay at the new casino resort there. Unfortunately they had no rooms available that weekend so we located this Holiday Inn and I am glad that we did. The staff was excellent and the room was great! What I noticed immediately was the "welcome military" sign that was visible as you enter the hotel. My husband is retired navy and I always admire hotels who acknowledge the military! I took pictures of that sign and the beautifully decorated Christmas tree in the lobby and posted it on my social media site and immediately received numerous "likes" from my military and non military family and friends. Would definentely recommend this hotel and plan to stay again whenever we're in town! April 24, 2016
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Aging Everytime I Visit I always stay at this hotel when I travel to the Auburn/Montgomery area but, I'm going to start looking soon. The staff is extremely helpful and accommodating. I'm an extremely picky person when it comes to hotels. I'm OCD to be honest and I look at every thing closely. I can't relax if I'm not comfortable and my job is to be on the road once or twice a week. The last few times I have stayed here I have been disappointed. The beds are old and soft. You can tell they have been used one to many times. They did some remodeling last year but I think it was only cosmetic (painting). Some of the rooms have a "body odor" to it. Needs new carpet, new TVs, and new beds. Recently when I was here (back in February) I took a shower and the drain was backing up. Do you know how disgusting that is? I showered as quick as possible. I informed the front desk but I don't think it was a concern to them. I love the location, and the parking is for the most part to my liking. They don't cram you in like other locations. It's almost become more of a truck stop type hotel. Lots of commercial truckers seem to stay here. There isn't parking for them but they stack their trucks in their taking up parking spots. I'm not really fond of that trend. I'm not trying to bash this hotel because again, the staff is wonderful. I've just noticed in the 3 1/2 years I have been traveling Montgomery this hotel has declined every time I've visited. If they would do a total upgrade, then this would be the best value in all of Alabama. April 22, 2016
