We stayed here for three days over the weekend and we loved the hotel. It is right downtown in the middle of all of the action. It was a beautiful large bright room with a fridge and microwave in the kitchen area.
The staff were friendly, courteous, and totally bilingual.
The breakfasts were delicious and we ate in a beautifully clean dining room.
The only sad part about it was saying goodbye. I would have loved to stay a lot longer! :) Looking forward to our next visit!

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Pete44 Very upset
I made my reservation on line. Having stayed in several Holiday Inn Express locations, an always wih a good experience, I was confident history would repeat.
When I arrived, I was told that although I had specifically requested a non smoking room (I am asthmatic and very allergic to cigarette smoke), I was told that there were none left. The clerk actually said "too bad for you".
Maybe being in Montreal, there was a bit of a language barrier? Possibly, but it certainly came across differently. I asked for my credit card back, and the clerk asked if I was cancelling, almost happy, as in, she knew how to do that at least.
I cancelled and walked down the street to a competitor who had a non smoking room and was happy to get my business.
I will not even try to stay at this particular Holiday Inn again.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Eddy75 Good location but old interior
Not very smart to rent 3/4 of the floor to a group of teenager and to us! Was very load...
The suite needs work, the interior is old, and need to be remodeled or as a minimum repainted
The staff was very friendly and very efficient

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by cvm1 Nice staff old rooms
This is a good location close to what you need.
Very good staff always friendly
My room was tired to say the least
Furniture worn out
baseboards beat up
lights and fixtures covered in dust
Bathroom fixtures worn out, sink looked like a three year old caulked it in.
Thought as a Platinum member I could get an upgrade and was told I did?

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Carmindy Great Staff, Good Location, Walls paper thin
This very affordable hotel is located perfectly near Metro, Downtown and Old Montreal. All within walking distance or easy cab/metro ride. Breakfast had more choices than I expected. Staff was totally AWESOME! Very professional, friendly, and ALWAYS accomodating!!!
However, the walls are paper thin and we unfortunately encountered some very, very noisy 'neighbors' at all hours of the night. They literally screamed, ran up and down halls, slammed doors and carried on 2 nights of our stay. Security could not do much after the first appearance/warning to these folks.
I would have also loved a restaurant but continental breakfast for free and all you can eat was wonderful!

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by fantik No single plate in the kitchen
No single plate was found in the big kitchen. Huge refrigerator, decent dishwasher, a lot of space in the kitchen and no single utensil. Nothing! Empty! You can take some paper plates from the breakfast area however.
Overall this is a place to spend a night with no complains. Friendly staff. No noise. Clean. The room looks like an abandoned house. I would not return.
