We had a group of 7, so we got a "van taxi" to the airport. We got the return shuttle to the hotel without any trouble (just called the front desk). Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Match number of towel sets to expected number of guests As a procedure please provide a set of towels for each expected guest in the reserved room. It is universal in all the Holiday Inn (and other vendor) rooms we stay in that we specify 4 adults in two large beds. We would expect one set of towels for each of the 4 specified guests. We NEVER receive more than 3 sets of towels and have to request the fourth from the front desk. Our request is always honored. Usually we have to go down to the front desk to collect the towels. Therefore this would be classified as a minor irritant. I can understand your decision to provide only three sets of towels and leave the fourth as a service request by your guest.[cost and waste of towels]. Suggestion: under such a situation why not ask the guests at checkin if a fourth set of towels is required. This would prevent the irritation of having to make a followup visit to front desk to collect the towels. July 31, 2014

She was a little slow at getting food out, and she got very short when someone inquired about the pancake machine, almost as if she couldn't be bothered. Ever since that trip in 2008 we have stayed at Holiday Inn Express because we were so impressed with everything (over the other hotel chains). Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Convenient location with great service The Holiday Inn Express is very convenient to RDU Airport and other areas within the Raleigh-Durham-Chapel Hill communities. One jumps easily onto I-40 or crosses it to be immediately at the RDU Airport. The staff is friendly, and the amenities are great. I like the location for my future stays in Raleigh/Durham. The rooms are well appointed and comfortable, there is an outdoor pool, and plenty of TV stations are available. As always, the breakfast room is an enjoyable place to relax and enjoy a variety of breakfast delights. July 23, 2014

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great Hotel, Unfriendly Front Desk The stay was excellent, but the Front Desk greeting was horrible !No welcome to hotel,no smiles, no eye contact, just straight to checking in and room assignment. Never asked what floor I preferred or anything. Just handed me the key and told me where the elevator was. I thought it was just the evening clerk, but the morning clerk was the same. Need to work on making guest feel more excepting when we first walk into hotel. July 9, 2014

Well done and thank you. We used the stay and fly for free. Timely shuttle service with hardly any wait time. And when we arrived back in Raleigh airport when the shuttle came he offered bottled water which was so nice. This is a well run establishment with an efficient staff. Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Average Okay hotel but nothing special at all. Asked for a room in a quiet location and was given a connecting room !!!!!! Heard my neighbours until after midnight. Had already allocated my room and did not want to fuss. Check in could certainly have been warmer. Poor gym. Breakfast a notch down from hotels. Doubt if I would go back. The beds were very comfortable; towels were large and thick and soft; room was spotless; bathroom was spotless; common areas were very clean; adequate lighting in the room; good TV selection; quiet night's rest; delicious breakfast choices on all three mornings; front desk staff is friendly and efficient ... Amanda is especially superb at her job and demonstrates great care for guest comfort and happiness. Especially appreciated is the fact that our room was completely accessible for my wife who is in a wheelchair. We will stay at this hotel again when in the Raleigh area.
