courteous and willing staff, I also rented the meeting room. both experiences were top of the class.

I stayed here for two nights on a business trip. First the plusses: the room was very spacious, the bed and pillows very comfortable. And things seemed generally clean.
The breakfast buffet had some hot items, but it is obvious very little of it is freshly made. The muffins, etc appear to have been frozen, the eggs made from some powdered pre-fab mix and the cinnamon rolls under the heat lamp were soggy.
The light bulbs in the lamps in the guest rooms are the new fluorescent type and give off a washed out, harsh lighting effect. The biggest "what were they were thinking?" element of this hotel is the really really bad orange color they have picked for the hallways and the bathrooms of the guest rooms. I associate orange with a dingy, dark flea-bag kind of hotel. The dim lights in the hallway made it even more drab and dreary looking. Get rid of the orange and get new lights! This could be a really nice and inviting place to stay!

No one was at the front desk upon arrival. Maintenance person found attendant in pool area. Checked in with priority club card. Membership was never mentioned. Key card did not work. Returned to front desk. Maintenance person retrieved person from pool area. Key was reprogramed. no comment was made.
This was not a good end to a 12 hour drive.
I have stayed at this particular unit before and will stay again.

Room was great, desk help was excellent, and Janice at the breakfast bar was very friendly and her service was excellent.

This is a nice, clean hotel. The one thing that stands out about my extended stay there was the Manager, she was very nice and helped me on more than one occasion. This is a rare event in hotels now days. I like personal service that makes your work travel a little easier, thanks !

Recently completed a total of 6-1/2 weeks working in Moss Point. Minus a weekend here and there my entire stay was at the HIX. I can't think of many hotels I would want to spend this much time at, but this is one that began to feel like home. Thanks to Linda, Josh, Jessica and the rest of the front desk staff for all the warm welcomes and assistance. Thanks to Janice for her friendly morning breakfast service and the rest of the staff for taking care of me during my stay.
