We had stayed at the facility in Evanston,Ill a few days prior & I guess they spoiled us for other facilities. The hotel is located next to a huge shopping center with a variety of restaurants and a great choice of stores. Everything is perfect for a weary traveler. Would highly recommend this location. Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Clean and Comfortable but no respect for Platinum Priority Club Clean and comfortable and QUIET. Lots of potential to be an outstanding property. I am in a hotel 100+ nights a year - and this was clearly a well maintained property. But it was missing the things that make it comfortable for a business traveler. Did not recognize me as priority platinum. When I asked for the goody bag typical of all Holiday Inn Express at check-in, I was handed a scratch-off card and was told it would tell me what I won. More like a scratch and sniff because this is a "stinky" way to treat your loyal customers. No newspaper. When I inquired at the front desk I was told "you have to request it." So I requested it and received one the next morning. Breakfast missing the apples and banannas typical of most HIEs. Correction, there was one banana, but it was so bruised, no one would take it. Obviously not the best way to treat loyal IHG customers - might stay here again, but will probably stay with "the otehr group" that I have status with - perhaps they treat their Diamond level better than this property treated Platinum. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by outstanding room and bed Bed was very comfortable but the pillows lacked enough firmness for us. It is hard to find one like home. I was disappointed with the breakfast. I must have misunderstood the young man that checked us in on Saturday night. I thought he said breakfast started at 0600 AM, but when we got downstairs at 0615 AM breakfast was not ready nor was any one seen preparing the breakfast area. I must have missed the time. We were unable to linger any longer as we had a 14 hour driving day ahead of us and we just took off. This could have eliminated by a sign posted about breakfast hours in the room. Maybe there was and we missed it. This was one of the finest Holiday Inns we have stayed in this year. We would stay there again if we were passing through Nashville. Thank you. August 11, 2013

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent place to stay I love this hotel. When you walk in the lobby, you would swear it was a 5 star hotel. The staff was friendly and helpful with our questions about the hotel and the area. The room was very nice and clean and the bed was comfy and the sheets smelled fresh. The pool area was awesome; plenty of towels, and lots for windows to give it a nice open feeling. The only bad for this hotel was the breakfast. The selections was not very good; biscuits, gravy and eggs were the only hot items on the bar. Seemed a little strange that there was not any meat choice. Over all I would highly recommend this hotel for anyone traveling through the Nashville area. August 3, 2013

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by First room dirty The first room we were given had the beds made, but there was trash and snack bags strewn around the room. The bathroom had used tooth brushes on the sink. Condition was pretty disgusting. We were given a clean room after returning to the front desk. No one seemed particularly distressed by the condition of the first room. No acknowledgement of being an IHG member or a Platinum member. No water, no offer of upgrade, etc., no thank you. July 25, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by very nice, but,,, Stayed here over a weekend while house hunting in the area. It's a very clean hotel and the first Holiday Inn Express I've stayed at that doesn't allow smoking in the room - huge plus for me. But, they do allow people to smoke right outside the front door and on Saturday night when we got back from a long day, there were several people sitting on the benches out front drinking beer and smoking, so we had to walk right through that to get inside. The bed was a little too frim, but that is my only complaint about the room. I'd probably stay there again. July 20, 2013

The rooms are very nicely decorated and extremely clean. Staff was very helpful and it is very conveniently located immediately next to shopping and groceries. Definitely an excellent hotel. Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by The Most Overrated Hotel This Priority Club Member Has Experienced My disappointment began immediately at check-in when I was told that there was no record of my previously arranged change in room-type. Although I had notes from my call to the property three weeks earlier (i.e. staff member's name, date/time, etc), I was told that the person I had spoken to was "kind of new" and "she doesn't really know what she is doing." A supervisor (John) finally stepped in and, after a few tense minutes, he provided the room-type I had been promised. We left our room for sightseeing before 10AM on Sunday morning and returned at approximately 4:00PM to find that the room had not been serviced. Not a big deal - we chose not to call housekeeping but they arrived just before 5:00PM and delayed our showering, etc. for the final night of the CMA Music Festival until I finally spoke to a supervisor and convinced them to leave. In preparation for the evening, we attempted to retrieve our valuables from the in-room safe which could not be opened due to a dead battery. This was also not a big deal until my wife sought help at the front desk and was told that there was no one on the property who could open the safe. My wife was forced to leave her wallet, ID, etc. behind or miss the concert. Our collective aggravation peaked after we returned to the property on Sunday night. As we attempted to sleep, the fire alarm was activated three separate times. On Monday morning, we were told that the alarm had sounded because somehow "water was detected in the system". Our in-room safe was finally opened for us on Monday morning so that we could check out and I was told that the property's less than stellar performance was caused by "an extremely busy weekend for us." I guess I don't understand - were rooms built on to this property at the last minute? Isn't the CMA Music Festival scheduled more than a full year in advance? Is there a protocol for changing batteries in the in-room safes? June 18, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Comfortable bed but average service. Only Holiday Inn Express mywife and I have stayed at in the last 12 months that did not offer bottled water when we checked in. I use it for my CPAP machine. When I went back down to front desk to ask for some Iwas informed they did not have any. Probably the last time I will stay there as they were also the highest price by $20 over all the rest of the Holiday Inn's we stayed at on our trip to North Carolina and back to Kansas. June 17, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by very nice and comfortable We enjoyed out stay except for one night being woke up 3 times by a fire alarm. We were told it malfunctioned. Also the housekeeping was great for two days but the third was not. Supplies were not replenished in the bathroom, no coffee, no cups or glassed, and towels were not replaced. Someone was not checking on staff. Otherwise we were treated very well by the front desk and the breakfast room. Nice location to Nashville. June 15, 2013

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Gorgeous Hotel This is the second year we've stayed in this hotel for the Charlie Daniels Family Reunion and we couldn't be happier! Of all the Holiday Inn Express locations we've stayed in (quite a few), this is one of the two most beautiful we've seen!!! The service is always 5-star, the breakfast selection is very good, the hotel is quiet and comfortable and convenient to the highway, Nashville, and downtown Mt Juliet. We will be back next year!!
