I was very impressed with the cleanliness and creature comforts of the hotel and room. A feature I wasn't expecting was the dedicated in-room tablet to use - NICE!
I stay at Holiday Inn Express internationally and love them. This is my first domestic stay - and it was the best by far in all aspects. Nice rooms, beds are comfy, two types of pillows with pillow cases entitled "soft" and "hard" - love it!
Only improvement would be to improve the TV interface on the remote. It has (2) TV power buttons leading you to disconnect the satellite box and inadvertently resetting the TV resolution and not being able to get it back...even if you have the basic e-knowledge! They need to simplify it!
Overall - great place, highly recommend it!

I was prepared to make this hotel my permanent travel hotel (I travel up to the Palo Alto area weekly from San Diego). The hotel is in the right spot, it's the right price, it's new, the room looked amazing. But I immediately discovered that it could not be my hotel because it was cheaply built. As a consultant, there are 3 T's that we hate hearing from outside our room: telephone, TV, talking. I could hear all 3 from outside the room in the hallway, from my next door neighbors, I could even hear walking from the people above me. No amount of cable channels, nor comfy bed, nor number of pillows can outweigh the noise.

Very nice room. Very friendly and helpful staff. Very convenient to the Shorline Amphitheatre, which was the reason for our visit. The cab service they reccommended was there waiting for us when we were ready to go. The next concert we go to see there, this will be our Hotel pick.
