Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by lack of towels for a suite Good experience as usual except this time the constant lack of towels in the room and this every day we stay.... Party of 4 with only 2 sets of towels and we had to go down to reception to get at least an additional set as sometimes there was no towels available. .... August 20, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Comfortable bed Bed felt fresh and pillows were nice. Was kind of loud--need more insulation in the walls. Pool was close to our room, so got the noise from that as well. Although, I will say, I did not request a room away from the pool. Next time I will. August 19, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by good choice We vacationed for 10 days staying at IHG hotels. They all are different, doing different things. This was a beautiful hotel with a flustered check-in person. Breakfast was interesting. Food good, area not. There was not a clean table when we got there. The staffer walked around with a towel in her hand and pushed in chairs, but left the crumbs on the tables and chairs. The counters were dirty and she just walked past the mess. This was the worst breakfast area we experienced. No recognition for being a member. August 19, 2015

This was my first time in a Holiday Inn Express and I must say that i will choose it over again. This trip was for pleasure and we very much enjoyed it even though it was just for a two day getaway. No mgmt or staff beyond a brand new trainee on premises; housekeeping was almost non existent (they made the bed, but didn't restock anything, including towels and tissue). Hallways were littered with trash that evidently was forgotten. August 14, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good for the price paid but not great staying here. This hotels needs to make changes to bring it to the next level. Pillows are not comfortable. Eggs are not well cooked. Pool is very small. Check in should be at 2PM instead of 4PM. Employees should be more friendly. August 10, 2015
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Great location but Fair value The mattress was lumpy and sheets worn. Many of the towels were old. I expect a safe in a room, especially an upgraded suite. There was none. Bring your own toliletries. Every day we received a lot of bath wash but no shampoo. And I would suggest a fourth floor room as we heard footsteps above since we were on the third floor. On the bright side, the location is wonderful. You can get a Uber cab to downtown Charleston for $11 and you will be there in 10 minutes. We used the exercise room and the machines were really nice, though limited in number. But we never had to wait. Our room was clean, as was our bath. Lots of competition in the area. HIE needs to step up their game if they are going to charge $XXX a night. August 10, 2015
