Our reservation was lost upon check-in, and a big production was made of solving this riddle while we waited at the desk. Our heater was not working in our room, and the desk clerk confidently assured us that it would warm up satisfactorily in a "couple of hours". Morning temp in our room was about 65F (10F outside). I mentioned this to the desk clerk and requested a maintenance man to address the problem. They sent up the kid who was vacuuming the lobby, who confirmed that the unit was not working, THEN sent up the maintenance man, who fixed the problem. Why send up the kid? Bed was OK, room was dated, but OK, breakfast was OK. The only thing that was good about our stay was that the location was convenient to the business we had to conduct in this disgusting town.

Staff is super at this location from front desk to housekeeping to breakfast server. Some maintenance issues in our room which we told front desk about as we left. They were profuse in their appreciation that I brought it to their attention, I have no doubt the issues will be attended to.

This was an average-ish HIE. I was worried about the 2 star rating, but it was fine. Cleanliness was good, room was fine. Breakfast food quality was a little below average for some of the items.
