Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Pro's and Con's Staff was very friendly upon arrival and checkin. We were please to find a spacious room after a long days drive and two tired kids. We did notice that the sink at the wet bar seemed to drain very slowly, which wasn't a problem in and of itself. Unfortunately after the second person used the restroom it clogged and remained that way throughout the rest of our overnight stay. The two remaining members of our party had to use the public restrooms off of the lobby. Being that we checked in very late and left early in the morning we decided not to have hotel staff address the bathroom situation since we really just wanted to get some sleep. Our son was unfortunate enough to have to sleep on the pullout. The mattress was ridiculously thin and sunk below the frame at the foot of the "bed" and a good portion of the springs were missing. The two queen beds were extremely comfortable. I did notice that the doors and walls could have used a decent wash/wipe down. March 26, 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Good place to stay while visiting family...and riding out a snow/ice storm Having stayed here on at least two previous occasions over the past several years while visiting family in the region, we were delighted to find that there was still a room available on short notice...a room which ended up be "home" for more than the originally-planned one night. The staff as a whole was most helpful, especially as we renewed our stay for an additional night on two consecutive mornings after our first night. The location is excellent, convenient to the major thoroughfares and to restaurants nearby. March 8, 2014

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent staff. Room had issues. 4 main problems with room 421. 1. It faces the interstate and traffic noise can be a problem. A sleep machine may help you with this. Better insulation of window would be best. 2. Mattress was in poor shape but, after mentioning it to the front desk, it had been replaced with a much better one by the time we returned in the evening. 3. Heating/AC unit developed a squeak. Again, after mentioning it to the front desk in the morning, we found a NEW, updated unit in its place by our return in the evening. 4. Heating/AC unit was still a problem due to very close placement to the bed. Fixed vent caused air to blow on me, waking me every time it came on, with no way to adjust it. Staff did all they could short of renovations so I commend and thank them. For their part, that was the best hotel service I've ever had. Appreciated AAA discount March 4, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Elevator Noise The most problematic thing about this hotel is the elevator noise. My first room was adjacent to the elevator. Every time it went up or down, the room shook and the loud mechanical noises soon followed. I asked to change rooms, but the noise was still there even 3 doors down away from the elevator, though it was not nearly as bothersome. I don't think they were having temporary problems with the elevator, just not well insulated or a cheap model. Either way, I was not happy with it. The location is great, the hotel was very clean, and the staff were pleasant. Aside from the noisy elevator, I enjoyed my stay. February 18, 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Wonderful overnight stay We stayed here for one night while brining our child to college. The rooms were bigger than expected. They included a microwave and fridge, which not all Holiday Inn Expresses have in their rooms. Breakfast was your standard buffet. Beds were very comfortable. Pillows were too soft. I started bringing my own pillows when we stay in hotels. The staff were very friendly. I plan on staying here whenever we have to be in the area. January 23, 2014

I did have an issue with an electrical plug. The staff was good although they did not seem comfortable in their roles. Charles thw weekend night shift staff was awesome! He knew what time we were leaving for work he had breakfast ready for us. Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Noisy room My room was located next to the elevator (Room110). The elevator is EXTREMELY noisy. The constant used of the elevator was one cuase for no sleep. The heating system does not have automatic temparature control. If the heat is turn on, even in low setting, the room eventually becomes too hot. If the heat is turned off the room becomes too cold. For a hotel/chain of this stature, this type of equipment is below standards. January 6, 2014
