The location was perfect, as it was so close to the newer part of Myrtle Beach, so it was clean and classier. The room was also clean and the view was nice but what was the most amazing part of this experience was the service. We were visiting for a National Jr. Olympic Cross Country race and the morning of checkout we left my sons race number and packet on the bed apparently and we did not realize this until we received a phonecall from the Jr. Olympic headquarters reporting that the Holiday Inn Express had called them telling them a packet was left behind. Without this number he would not have been able to run and I was able to drive down and grab this. Thank you so much Holiday Inn Express. December 16, 2014

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Disappointing I have stayed at 6 Holiday Inn Expresses in 2014 and have to say this one in Myrtle Beach was my least favorite. We requested the first floor. Our request was fulfilled and the front desk employee told us that the first floor is the "pet friendly" floor. We love pets so we didn't think it would be an issue. The carpet was filthy and the room was outdated, compared to other HI Expresses I've stayed in. We didn't complain because we were only there one night but if we had been staying longer, it wouldn't have been acceptable. The free breakfast is always wonderful, that's one of the main reasons we stay at Hol Inn Express. Employees were very courteous. December 14, 2014

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by No Smoking??? Cough Cough, I don't think so.. No, I don't smoke and I reserved a no smoking room but I was given a room that stunk of smoke.. I realize the hotel can only police this so much, but I'm sure the prior room resident was charged for smoking in a non-smoking room, but the hotel could have at least cleaned it. I arrived late and this was my room for the evening.. The room stunk before I ever opened the door (the keys didn't work the first time, either) and then I opened the room.. It stunk, and there were several clumps of dried mud on the floor as you walked in.. I'm now home, washing my clothes that stink of leftover smoke.. I'd stayed at this location once before but it won't happen again. On the other hand, the bed was comfortable, even though it stunk.. December 7, 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great hotel esp. for pet owners This was our first time staying at HIE- Broadway at the Beach. The staff was very friendly and helpful, going out of their way to speak and offer a smile each time we passed by. The beds were comfy and the room was clean and nicely decorated. We enjoyed a nice breakfast each morning before heading out to start our day. Their pet friendly hotel catered to our "Reese" as well, offering him treats when he entered the hotel. If he wasn't already spoiled he would have been by the time we checked out. We already are plan to stay there again when we head down for Thanksgiving. Thank you to the staff, for making this a great vacation for us all including Reese. December 1, 2014
