Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Four pillows and great staff All the staff I met or encountered were very courteous and helpful...from talking with them on the phone to confirm a rate availability to check-in/check-out, to providing coffee early in the morning. I selected this hotel due to it's proximity to the start/finish of the Myrtle Beach Marathon at Broadway at the Beach. Certainly a large selection of restaurants in the area. The fact that each bed had four pillows was a great plus. We noted that the hotel is going through a renovation and recarpeting. Clearly, there were some areas in the hotel where this is sorely needed as the wear and tear was quite visible. However, knowing that this was an ongoing process allowed us to overlook this particular need. The rooms were comfortable. The fresh coffee a couple of hours before the start of the race and the staff starting to place food out for the 6 AM breakfast, but early enough to grab that last minute snack were appreciated. You couldn't control the weather, but it was a great stay overall. February 16, 2015

My husband and I stay primarily at Holiday Inn and Suites because we can always count on the consistency in cleanliness, comfortable beds and excellent bathroom facilities. Calling this hotel a Holiday Inn was deceptive to say the least. It was so filthy we laid towels on the carpet when walking barefoot to the bath. I am not so picky as to always need "modern" furnishings. But I do want things to be clean. We even tried to give them a break because they are right on the edge of activities geared towards children. But seriously, they need to do something about carpets and the maid service should do their jobs regardless of the décor and/or location. We always tip housekeeping and appreciate how they do their jobs.... this was a challenge at this location! All we ask...... be a Holiday Inn please! Oh and they did not even give us recognition on our club membership. We should get double points for staying there! February 1, 2015
