Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Not so Impressed Overall I had a great time in Myrtle Beach, however I wish for the price charged, we could have had a more upgraded hotel. The Hotel needs upgrading and the breakfast staff was not too friendly. In addition, we did not get the King size bed we originally booked. My husband and I had to ask the front desk to at least give us a larger bed because we booked a King and got 2 full size beds. Finally they gave us a room with two Queens. This was not a fun way to start the trip. The rooms could use updating and the elevator floor needed to be cleaned and vaccumed. The final straw was when the headboard came falling down, just missing my head! I reported this to the front desk and was told I would get a credit of $30, however I did not get the refund as to date. April 16, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by overall a very good location Enjoyed our stay at this location. Only thing not quite up to par was breakfast. We went down to breakfast at 8 a.m. and they were out of all types of oatmeal packets and some of the other offerings. I am sure they have had large regisrations before and need to be better prepared for guests with breakfast being part of their offering. Location was excellent, easy to get to beach and Hollywood shopping and ride area. April 12, 2015

The room was very clean and the room was always left neat. The check in staff was very helpful and answered all questions, even giving good directions. The Inn location is excellent with all good restaurants and attractions nearby. I would certainly stay at this Holiday Inn again, and I hope to. April 11, 2015

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Run-down This property is not what I normally expect when staying at a HIX. I had the feeling of staying in low-income apartments or run-down dorms. Sounds and smells travel between rooms easily, the hallways and stairwells feel gross, and I had an uneasy feeling during my stay. Again, this is not what I am used to when staying at a HIX. I have stayed at this property before a couple years ago and don't recall a similar experience. I hope things improve here. April 7, 2015
