Our small complaints are that we were placed in a handicapped room and I like a bathtub. The sink counter was small so we used the handicapped shower chair to store our travel kits. The hotel was full and there was no chance to change rooms.
Also the bathroom was decorated in a dark color-brown?-which made the light seem dim.
I like hooks; hooks in the bathroom for robes and pjs, hooks in the closet space to hang handbags or tote bags or hats-and there were none.
We arrived at the front of the building and it was a little difficult to unload the vehicle there with a steep ramp to push the luggage trolly up to the reception area. Later saw that the ideal is to check in and then use the room card to access the underground parking space and bring the trolly down on the elevator.
the staff was extreemly friendly and helpful.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by flyboy1961 Great place to stay in Nashville
After looking at all the options in Nashville I picked the Holiday Inn Express and I very glad I did. It is a super clean place and a good value for the price.

I enjoyed my stay at the Holiday Inn Downtown Nashville. The hotel is clean and the staff is efficient, helpful and friendly.
The hotel is aging and not really worth the advertised price. I stayed with IHG points so I was pleased with the accommodations, Had I paid full price i would have not been as happy.
Parking is $26 after paying a premium price for a room. That is a bit steep. Maybe it's the going price for parking these days but still too high for guests.

We were told by the person I talked to on the phone there was a covered pool and a hot tub. When we got there no hot tub and outdoor pool and you pay 24.00 a day for parking. With the price I paid for the room that I was told a hot tub existed and then to pay for parking I was not very happy.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Traveler I Overall would not stay here again
At checkin I was told that they were not a full service Hotel, I was not aware of this when I booked my two rooms. Had to take our bags to room and park our own car. My room smelled like sewer when I walked in, had to call front desk. Maintenance had to pour something in drains. That helped. My friends were in adjoining room and their toilet stopped up. Had to call maintenance. Sheets were not soft enough for my taste. Enjoyed being downtown was close to everything. Enjoyed the breakfast. Complimentary shuttle was very good, used it several times a day. Overall I like holiday Inn's but i don't think I would stay at this location again. Nashville downtown is for tourists but this place is overpriced for what hat you get.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by HeatwaveAl Close to the downtown area.
Close to all the area events that we were in town for. The parking has no flow. A parking lot FULL sign would help when there are limited spots to prevent everyone from backing out when full.
