Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Close to downtown excitement! Really liked being able to walk to all the sites in Nashville. Way to get to off the highway. October 29, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Quick and courteous service. Quick check in with no waiting for a room to be ready. Customer Service was friendly and accommodating. October 28, 2013
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Older hotel.....and noisy. This hotel is older, and probably due for a renovation. Everything is clean, but doesn't really look like it due to the age. The lady at the front desk was really good (Valerie, I think?). This hotel is in the right spot to see downtown....within walking distance of several things. The issue is the noise. Our room faced right onto the street, and the traffic noise, ambulances, etc, made it difficult to sleep. October 27, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Mostly Hits but a few misses Great property and a great location. 1. Upon arrival we were not greeted as gold guests. When informed of this fact the reception asked if we wanted water, we declined. Later on other guests asked for guest rewards and the reception couldn't give enough candy, water , chips, etc. 2. When we found the parking garage full, we didn't know where to park, we took a chance at the lot next to the hotel, it turns out that this is an additional parking venue for the hotel, we were never informed of this. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by HI Downtown Nashville ROCKS The hotel is in the perfect location and the staff was unbelievable. From the cleaning staff, to the breakfast staff to the front desk. It's been awhile since I've seen such a nicely run hotel. I left a package in the room upon checkout and the front desk went above and beyond to get it shipped to me. I am most grateful to them. I will be back! October 26, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Diane I can't say enough about our stay in Nashville. The hotel was neat, clean and the rooms were very spacious. The front desk at check-in and out were friendly and helpful in every way. The breakfast was wonderful. Most hotels just offer a continental breakfast but the HI in Nashville had a full course hot breakfast. Ham and scrambled eggs, pancakes, bisquits and gravy, hot cinnamon rolls, bagels, muffins, cereal, juice, fruit, coffee and I am sure I am missing other things as the bar was filled. I would truly recommend making this hotel a stop if your in Nashville as it was wonderful. October 24, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Perfect location for a weekend in down town Nashville. I had a very relaxing stay. My room was very clean. The bed was very comfortable. The hotel is in walking distance to everything. October 23, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Loved this hotel! We came down to Nashville in October 2013 for our first time. The hotel was easy to find and very close to the 'strip'. We loved the ease of walking out the door and being right downtown. Parking at the hotel was effortless. The breakfast was great, lots of selection. The rooms were very clean and spacious. We were extremely happy with our stay and plan to come back and visit real soon! October 23, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Location Staff was very friendly and helpful at Holiday Inn Express Downtown for our first trip to Nashville. The hotel was conveniently located because we walked to a concert at the Bridgestone Arena. This hotel provided shuttle service anywhere within a 2 mile radius which was really accommodating. The coffee and breakfast was definitely sufficient and the kids enjoyed the cinnamon rolls. Our room was clean and the bed was very comfortable giving us a good night sleep. My sheets smelled very fresh and there were several fluffy pillows on our beds. We would definitely stay here again. October 23, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Staff was great Staff was wonderful. Facilities were beyond my expectations. October 23, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Good location Within walking to main attractions and free shuttle service within the area. Would return and recommend to others. October 22, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Will be back I stayed at this hotel because of its location to the business meetings I needed to attend. I will return with my family for vacation because it certainly exceeded my expectations. The staff did everything you imagine to make sure that the stay was great, whether it was help bringing items in or directions to locations around town. The breakfast is probably one of the best I have ever experienced as a Free Continental Breakfast. October 22, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good location Very friendly receptionist, Priority Club membership recognised with a welcome pack, good room, a free breakfast and evening snacks available. A little walk to the bars of lower Broadway, the Country Music Hall of Fame and the Johnnie Cash Museum but an uphill walk back. There was a free shuttle available although we did not use it. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Quiet room, Good service and comfortable bed very enjoyable stay good location room very comfortable breakfast very good October 21, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Overall experience From the front desk to housekeeping, our experience was excellent. The room was clean and smelled clean. Housekeeping was very friendly. The front desk seemed ready and waiting to help in any way. Since we don't stay in Nashville frequently, I cannot speak to the cost of the room. I realize that nothing can be done about the taxes, however, $22 per night for parking seemed unreasonable. October 20, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 great room nice staff Had a wonderful stay. Had a up grade. Great room! Staff was very helpful . Location was wonderful, Didn't move the car at all. October 20, 2013
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by good with minor problems Good location, breakfast, bed and general accommodations. The luggage stand was missing from our room and we requested one be added 3 different times - never did happen. We also asked for them to replace a burned out light bulb - never happened. Finally, for both days we stayed, it was late in the afternoon before the room got made-up, which inconvenienced our plans. We expect better response when paying downtown rates. October 19, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent stay right in downtown Nashville. The beds were comfortable. The shower was amazing. The rooms were clean. The staff were helpful and friendly. This property is a two minute walk into downtown where the music and restaurants are. Nashville is a great city. They have refrigerators and microwaves. They have an iron and board. The bed was so comfortable and the sheets were great. The housekeepers were friendly and great. The breakfast was great. They had warm cinnabons, eggs, great coffee, and other nice stuff that's not the norm for a free breakfast. Valerie at the front desk loves her city and gives great tips on restaurant selection. I would definitely come back here. October 18, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Location, Lovely People, didn't need anything more. Everything is right there, the shuttle, the breakfast, the Honky Tonks on Broadway. Some rooms have bigger or more windows, we like floors higher up for views. The front desk is awesome, always there to help. October 17, 2013
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by no handicap accessibile room When reserving my room I especially requested a handicap accessible room. The reservationist 'made a notation' on my reservation. When I arrived (6:30 pm) the desk clerk had no indication that I had reserved a handicap room. Of course, there were no such rooms available. The clerk made no effort to apologize or made amends. Fortunately, we drove and had brought adaptive devices. As a person with limitations, this type of service is very common and very frustrating. (I personally think it is unacceptable) October 16, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Such a Great Experience! I had a great experience at the Holiday Inn Express! I recommend staying here to anyone visiting Nashville. The staff was excellent and so helpful. October 15, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great accommodations The rooms were clean and comfortable. The staff were all very nice. I loved that the Bridgestone Arena and downtown were within walking distance. I would definitely stay there again and would recommend it to my friends. October 14, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great hotel value at HI Express Room was very spacious and clean enjoyed the breakfast; as good as a restaurant workout facility was very good location was right downtown in the entertainment district October 14, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Experience! Beautiful decor, friendly staff, courteous housekeepers, and good food added up to a great experience--thank you! October 14, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Very Pleasant Stay Much of the hotel was taken over by the Vergers Guild of the Episcopal Church. I flew over from London UK representing the Church of England Guild of Vergers. The hotel was welcoming and trouble free. The conference and meeting facilities made available to us was first class. Lovely comfortable room and considerate maids. The Grayline bus from airport to hotel was perfect. The hotel provided a frequent downtown shuttle, but it is such an easy short walk I didn't avail myself of it. All in all my stay will remain a lovely memory. October 10, 2013
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Noise, noise, noise!!! Booked a room for two nights. First night, my floor was infested with loud, drunk partygoers. Some drunk idiot loudly knocked on my door at 4am. There's absolutely no quality control by the hotel staff to keep things quiet at this place. If I didn't need to rest, I would've just stayed in my car! Also, there are trains blasting their horns every hour at night. Noise insulation is poor and you can hear every one of them. I felt run down after staying at this noise filled establishment that charged premium. I definitely do NOT recommend this hotel for anyone that wants to stay in downtown Nashville. October 10, 2013
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Worst Holiday inn Very disappointing. We were on 7th floor and heard every car and truck on busy street. Very noisy to the point of not being able to sleep. TV changer wouldn't work properly : took 3 or 4 clicks to change channel. Dated and expensive. With $22 / night parking and multiple taxes our room for 2 nights exceeded $700. October 10, 2013
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Downton7 Even with a group discount the room was overpriced. There was a pungent odor in the hallway (carpet cleaner?). Convenient to the downtown area but desk staff did not know how to get to the nearest drugstore. Some breakfast foods were salty. There were no grab bars in the tub and the rain shower splattered everywhere.TV reception was very unstable - mostly sports and movies. There were six mushy pillows. Even so, my room overlooking the front entrance allowed me to get plenty of rest.. October 9, 2013
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 Terrible stay The homeless people and drunks were evidently allowed to hang out at the entrance of the hotel on the Broadway side of this hotel no one seem to mind. The noise level made it impossible to sleep. I am a member of the Holiday Inn rewards but never will I stay there again. October 8, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Service-enjoyable We found that the staff was very knowledgeable of the area-restaurants, tours and the latest happenings --shuttle was very good to have because we found the main entertainment areas were too far to walk-we had enjoyed walking a couple of blocks and been on Honky Tonk row.
