Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Wonde rful Getaway My husband and I were finally able to get a night away alone. We chose the Holiday Inn Opryland and had a wonderful evening. After a nice dinner downtown, we were able to relax at the Holiday Inn where it was very quiet, comfortable and very clean. The room was very relaxing and breakfast the next morning was very refreshing to begin the day. This is not the first time we have stayed at the Holiday Inn Opryland and it will definitely not be the last. The staff were super friendly and accomodating and by being Platinum Elite members we were treated like "royalty". July 27, 2013

They couldn't have been more accommodating! The room was beautifully appointed, totally spotless & the beds extremely comfortable!! I will make a point to stay here the next time I am in Nashville! The hotel was very quiet considering it was sold out because of the Grand Ole Opry shows. Very convenient location for grand ole Opry and Opry mills. Couldn't have chosen a better hotel. Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Hotel Staff Not Friendly/ Room average This hotel is in a great location. Very close to The Opry. Easy drive to downtown Nashville. We stayed at the Holiday Inn Express the night before in Jackson,TN. That hotel was by far much better than this one. The staff and room were fantastic! This hotel in Nashville paled to that one. Upon arrival, I noticed the check in clerk was not very friendly, and did not even offer a free beverage like the hotel in Jackson did. When I asked, The clerk said I was just a basic level Priority Club Member at this time, so I was shrugged off at first, then he finally said I could get a bottle of water, after just making me feel like a heel. Upon entering our room, I noticed this one wasn't near as spacious or as nice as the one in Jackson. You might know, as we were going to be spending four nights here. After the first night, I noticed our maid did not replace the ice bucket liner, the plastic laundry bag, a pen & pad by the phone, or cups to drink from. I left a note for the maid on what we needed, and the note went ignored. I ended up getting the items I needed myself off of a maids cleaning cart in the hallway. I also had problems with the hotel computer & printer. Neither was working properly, and the one staff member who was helpful, did not get it fixed either, so that was that. Problem not fixed! I never got to use it. Great location, but the staff needs training in treating their guests better, and with a smile. June 23, 2013
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Nashville-Opryland I was very disappointed with my stay at this hotel. I tried to upgrade rooms a week before I arrived and was told I couldn't. When I checked in I wash't even recognized as a platinum elite member. The bed was hard as a rock and squeaked if you rolled over. The pillows were flat and uncomfortable. I was charged over five dollars for two bottles of water that are complimentary at all of the other hotels for platinum guest. TO top it all off I just discovered I didn't earn any points for staying there. June 18, 2013

The breakfast selection was awesome and the everything tasted great. We really enjoyed Kevin at the front desk, he was also our shuttle driver. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great clean place to stay Room was quiet and clean. Staff was very friendly. Continental breakfast had the usual choices, but we try to eat very healthy and so there wasn't much there-wish there had been more fruit options instead of so much bread/pastries. But that is expected. The only real problem we had was catching the shuttle back from the convention center one day we had to wait 40 min although it's only 1 mile. We ended up walking-which we usualy did anyway, but we were hot, tired, and had 3 small kids with us so we thought the ride would be nice. Every other time it was on time and great. Overall, we would definitely stay here again. Great value and location! Pool was good too-no hot tubs though. May 31, 2013

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by 1 Night stay My check in time was just before 6pm, & I was disappointed that the customary warm cookies were not available. I chose this hotel based on the cost of hotels in Nashville, & knowing I would only stay 1 night, after picking up my friend from the airport. The staff was polite & helpful when we checked in & when we needed a taxi to take us to Nashville for dinner. The staff DID NOT explain the shuttle service that arrived in an UNMARKED car; however, the shuttle driver explained his services, requiring $50.00 up front & a promise to pick us up within 30 minutes from the time we call the service for pick up. Scary, but we did it and he did come back to get us in a DIFFERENT UNMARKED vehicle. This shuttle experience aside, my stay was average. The room was in decent shape, but I have stayed in better. The plumbing in the commode needed repair-it quietly sang most of the night. I would recommend this hotel if you are on a tight budget, or staying only 1 night. May 28, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great place to stay close to Grand Ole Opry in Nashville Very comfortable place close to Grand Ole Opry and if you are in town attending a conference at Gaylord Opryland resort and convention center, then this is the place to choose. It is right across from the street and is a quiet location. Added advantage is that it costs way less to stay here compared to Gaylord resort. Definitely would stay again when I visit Nashville next time. May 22, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great service staff! Room was good, but the best part of this hotel is its proximity to the airport and Grand Ole Opry! The shuttle service people are the NICEST! They will take you anytime, and even waited over an hour for our concert to be over! Overtime on a Sunday night, there was the shuttle waiting for us after The Killers concert with a smile on his face! Also super easy and inexpensive to get to downtown Nashville...had an awesome time! Thanks you guys! :) May 18, 2013

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Location near to Opry venues Bed comfortable. Bathroom drain was poor. I stood in water to my ankles before showering was complete. Pricey. Did NOT honor special price card that we got from the Tennessee welcome center for this specific location. Room was clean. This Holiday Inn Express cost $50 more than same room at Holiday Inn Express in Memphis and was equally designed and similar convenience of location. April 28, 2013

No fruit, no fresh wheat bread, and only sugary cereals. Poorly prepared/presented scrambled eggs and bacon with no healthy side options. The coffee was also pretty bad. Also, what's with the plastic coffee cups/utensils and Styrofoam dishes? Really? OK this is a complimentary breakfast, but if you want to eat a decent, healthy breakfast or have a real coffee, then don't count on getting it here. April 21, 2013

The Staff was simply OUTSTANDING in helping to accomodate our needs and requests. Very friendly front desk and the morning and evening shuttle drivers were simply outstanding. As always I go out of my way to stay at HI Expresses for this reason and have not been disappointed yet. Must stay there again in the future. April 2, 2013

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Not Bad... Close to Grand Ol Oprey We stayed here as part of our Spring Break vacation. The location was great and depending on the weather a nice walk or quick shuttle bus drive to the Grand ole Opry or the Mall. Unfortunately when we got our room it seemed a little worn with stains on the carpet, the clock radio was missing buttons and the TV remote had no battery cover. We also discovered a sticky fluid substance on the night stand and on the TV stand that had not been cleaned. We tried to get the maid that was cleaning the next room to wipe it down for us but she basically told us it was not her room (the language barrier between cleaning staff and patrons was quite obvious, unless you were fluent in Spanish). We contacted the front desk who responded with about 6 maids trying to dust and wipe down the room but we had the same language barrier problem and ended up having to point out the areas that needed cleaning. The noise level was a little high as our suite was located right next to the elevators so we got to hear all the conversations of people coming and going throughout the night but the noise level was not unbearable. Other than those small issues we had a great time at the Opry and in the area visiting different sites, for the price and location, we thought it was a pretty good deal. The shuttle bus driver was pleasant and provided interesting information about the area and the congestion after the Opry. The pool was a little cold but our 10 year old daughter did not seem to mind too much although my heart skipped a beat when I got in, an addition of a hot tub would be nice.. 8) All in all a good experience. I am never disappointed but this property is the "Best of the Best".
