Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Hotel under renovation I have stayed at many hotels "under renovation" that have been acceptable for value and a good night stay, very disapointed in this hotel, like a building site, if not able to renovation while servising gueats should be closed for renovation duration. Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Worst hotel experience ever The only good thing about this hotel was that the room was clean. Management warned us about the neighborhood when we checked in. Loud guests in the hall kept us awake almost all night. When we mentioned the noise issue while checking out the next morning, management confirmed it had been a "mess" overnight and said, "Sorry 'bout that." This was the worst hotel experience we have ever had. May 9, 2015

ROGER, TONY, and LINDA the breakfast hostess were extremely pleasant in their display of professionalism and customer service. All staff were accommodating and met our needs. Although the Hotel is under major renovation and construction, the noise level was kept to a minimum. We highly recommend this hotel. May 6, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Substandard for a Holiday Inn Express Our room was supposedly fully renovated but we found the work to be incomplete and shoddy in places. There isn't even a closet anymore. There was used soap in the shower. There were some unruly, noisy guests that kept us up all night. Their smoke alarm went off at 5:00 AM. The smoke alarm in our room put out such a bright pulse of light that I put a BandAid over it. The elevator smells bad, maybe it gets replaced later. The doors into the rooms have new hardware but they are obviously old and the latches are loose, making you feel a bit vulnerable. I have never been treated as poorly as I was when we checked out and left a day early. I was told that the other guests paid the same as I did and therefore had the right to make noise all night and that their smoke alarm was caused by a hot shower. Smoke alarms detect smoke, not heat or humidity. Incredibly bad experience that I will not repeat. May 6, 2015
