Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by excellent all round and good value The hotel was undergoing a refurbishment while we were there, but the staff did everything they could to ensure this didn't affect us. As with all the Holiday Inn Expresses, the room was clean and spacious. Lovely cookies on arrival and a decent breakfast buffet. But as always it was the friendly staff who made our stay especially pleasant - Roger on reception and Linda in the breakfast room are real gems. Convenient for downtown Nashville and attractions like the Grand Ole Opry and a very reasonable price March 12, 2015

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Under Renovation Unaware until actual arrival that this HIE was undergoing a massive reconstruction. Knowing this in advance would have affected our choice of this particular location. It was disconcerting to have construction workers outside our plastic-covered window on scaffeling while we were in the room. Once reconstruction is complete, I imagine that will be a very pleasant and updated place to stay. March 11, 2015

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Thin walls and noisy neighbors As a platinum member, I've been fortunate to stay at a lot of IHG hotels. This particular location is not one I'll come back to. First, I would like to highlight the positives for this stay. The staff was excellent. I'd especially like to thank Samantha who was there on Sunday and helped me through some issues I had, all with a big smile on her face. Now, I selected this location because of its proximity to the airport and major highways. I had stayed there before and I remember having a pleasant stay the first time. I was upgraded to a suite, which had a refrigerator, a small sink, and a couch. Nice. However, this didn't turn out to be as pleasant as it should have been. The first floor is noisy. The walls are super thin and I could hear everything and everyone that walked through the back entrance of the hotel at all hours of the night... door slammin, chatter, people coming in in various states of inebriation, etc. Needless to say, I didn't get a whole lot of sleep that night. Also, it surprises me that this hotel doesn't have a recycling program. With all the water bottles that are handed out to guests, the plastic bottles handed out during breakfast, it seems extremely wasteful and a bit irresponsible to not take advantage of the city's recycling program and help the environment in the process. And so, as friendly as the staff was, I think I would try a different location next time. March 10, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Holiday Inn Express Nashvile, Great hotel. This hotel is being completely updated. 15 minutes to downtown. Located just off I-40. Room very quiet, very clean, beds are great, and the staff is excellent. The breakfast and lady staff for breakfast is excellent. GREAT STAY1 March 6, 2015
