Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by the staff was great! the hotel itself was was nice (not brand spanking new but clean and updated) but it was the staff that made the stay 5 stars. because of the suggestion from the desk clerk Brenda, mom and i had a great lunch at a recommended restaurant in Beaufort (she asked where we were headed for the day) and then a FABULOUS time at the aquarium there. had she not suggested those 2 places, we would have missed out on a great day. AND... the lady in charge of the breakfast (whose name i didn't get) was SO ON TOP OF THINGS :) as something was removed from the available selection, she was right there making sure there were replacements for the people who had yet to serve themselves. very friendly, very clean and a wonderful experience. glad we chose this hotel for a 3 day layover. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by A good place to stay We've stayed at the Holiday Inn Express in New Bern twice now. It's convenient to the airport and a variety of restaurants plus it's quiet. Both times we've stayed here the staff has been most helpful. I would recommend it wholeheartedly. March 24, 2013

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by not right but perfect When I checked into this hotel It was the start of my much needed vacation with my wife and kids. During my check in I received the warmest welcome I have seen in a long time from the front staff. She was also very knowledgeable of the area. When I got to my room it had pictures on the floor and phones with no phone line attached. (it was being remodeled). I went back down to the front desk to ask for a new room, she was so embarrassed about the room and kept apologizing for it. I told her no worries that it happens and went to my new newly renovated room. After about an hour she called and asked how my new room was and asked for me to come to the front desk at my leisure, that she had something for me. When I made it to the front desk she handed me an envelope and again apologized for the room. She was just the friendliest person you would ever want to talk to and I did not want to stop talking to her. The enveloped contained bonus points for priority club. It was a very memorable moment and I recommend this hotel in the highest regards of the front staff. January 8, 2013

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by this is for the managment Any one who is coming to Jacksonville this is the place to stay but i am one who enjoys the breakfast except when the scrambled eggs are used they are nasty but if you can cover with the gravy witch i love not as bad use the folded eggs much better. I stay here 5 or 6 times a year and will keep staying here even if you put out the nasty scrambled eggs and by the way your staff is outstanding you as management should be proud they represent your hotel November 21, 2012
