My only negative aspect of my one night stay was that the double beds were a tad short and I am not a tall person. I did not ask to be switched to another room and I'm guessing that there were longer beds in other rooms. The hotel is quiet, safe and reasonably priced. May 15, 2015

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by This hotel did everything right! After spending 2 days in New Orleans, we left the downtown area for a little peace and quiet. This hotel was a step above the typical HIE. Karayan welcomed us, recognized our IHG platinum status, gave us a suite upgrade and 500 bonus points. While we were bringing in our luggage, she looked up some local attractions for us. She invited us to a beer/wine and snacks reception. This was a first for us at a HIE. Breakfast was excellent. Along with the typical choices there were thick slices of ham that delighted my husband. Everything was clean and quiet. We enjoyed our stay. May 10, 2015
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Hidden gem in a sketchy area East New Orleans isn't known for being the best part of town, but this hotel made up for it. Comfortable, quiet, good breakfast, great staff. Would have liked to have a cleaner pool to cool off in after a run in the heat. If it is off-season, this hotel should consider just covering the pool instead of letting it collect bugs and grime. Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by DO NOT STAY I am a business traveler/platinum member of IHG. Upon arrival, the staff was very unfriendly. While waiting a lengthy amount of time for another customer to check-in in front of me, I was looking around in the common area noticing trash on the floor and poor vacuuming. I was placed in a handicap room. The closet was lower, limiting me from hanging my suits to avoid wrinkling. I called the front desk to request another room, and was told they were all booked. Thus, I got settled in. The refrigerator worked for the first hour of my 2 day stay, and the AC unit was set on constant fan, yet would turn off for what seemed like forever. When climbing into bed that evening, I noticed the extra plastic placed on the mattress. It was extremely uncomfortable. Upon check out, I voiced my dissatisfaction, only to be met with a "I will let my manager know, and have her call you". No apology for my discomfort, or effort to adjust my bill or reward me in any way. I did not receive a call from anyone at the location, so I called in again to request a call from the manager. No manager or anyone from this location has reached out yet. POOR SERVICE, HIGHLY PRICED FOR QUALITY, ROOMS HAVE ISSUES, AND DON'T THINK THEY CARE ENOUGH TO ADDRESS YOUR CONCERNS OR CALL YOU BACK! IF THEY TREAT THEIR PLATINUM MEMBERS LIKE THIS, I CAN ONLY IMAGINE HOW THEY TREAT EVERYONE ELSE! April 22, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Poor Breakfast Service This is a new hotel and it seems like no one has no idea what is going on.... I had 3 rooms for myself and 2 other coworkers... One of them said the head housekeeping gave her an attitude on why she was in a room... Breakfast at 8am had no eggs or gravy.... The fitness center had no water. I even called before hand for them to fill it up and it did not happen.... I stay at IHG properties over 100 times a year and this by far is one of the worse experiences ever. April 20, 2015
