Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Overall stay My wife and I attended a weekend wedding in New York and found the Holiday Inn Express on Wall St. to be a great location. We were close to the subway and many tourist attractions. The hotel was clean and comfortable. The noise level was minimal . The bed was very comfortable and the breakfast bar was well stocked and tasty. The wedding was great and our stay was perfect and the price sure beat anything else. Definitely would stay again October 17, 2012

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Great location, little for the money POSITIVE - the location was great. - walking distance to ferry (statue of liberty), some shops, 9/11 memorial, subway, wall street, etc. NEGATIVE - bath room was dirty - room didnt got clean daily - some of the staff didnt understand english - breakfast was very poor and provided plastic cutlery October 7, 2012

The rooms are tiny (It's Manhattan-get over it), but they are clean, comfortable, and breakfast is included each morning (again-it's Manhattan, so if you'd like to spend $60ish for a better breakfast you have infinite choices). The staff was very friendly, even when they didn't have to be ("Have a great day!" the girl cleaning a breakfast table nearby called to me as we got up to leave. Who says New Yorkers aren't friendly?), plus you can walk to the new Freedom Tower and 9/11 Memorial site, South St. Seaport area, etc. It was our pleasure to stay there and the price was VERY reasonable. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by First TIme in NYC I almost exclusively stay at Holiday Inn and this was my first time in NYC. THe property was nice but small. 26 floors but only 4 rooms per floor. Room was quite small, had to stradle toilet to close bathroom door. From what I here this is typical for NYC downtown hotels. Not a bad area at all but extra security was around after hours. Staff was very nice and helpful. August 22, 2012

We experienced a leaky toilet, A/C system that did not work, the housekeeping continually failed to leave enough towels and we had to ask for additional every day. Staffs are very helpful. The issue is aircond is too cold and too loud due to high capacity of air cond. Internet connection is good but can improved if the login can be simplify. I need to login every time if I use my iPhone which is very troublesome. July 15, 2012

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Not All That Great This is a HI Express offering fairly standard amenities right off Wall Street in the Financial District. I'll give you the highs and lows I saw and let you decide: Lows: 1. Bad smell in elevators, 2. A little shabby, including ripped bed skirts, 3; Tiny rooms, 4. Items still in room from previous occupant, and 5. Breakfast room so crowded with furniture it is difficult to navigate. Highs: 1. Attractive price, 2. Helpful front desk staff, 3. The room appeared to be bug-free and somewhat clean (but the maids use brooms rather than vacuums), and 4. The property is close to the subways to go uptown. Also - I was afflicted with some type of red splotches all over my lower body for days after staying here. Strange never happened before, and has not happened since. July 11, 2012
