The service and staff are excellent. This is not the best of locations however. It's a couple of blocks for Times Square and there are other choices closer to Times Square but they are more expensive. There's also not a lot of subway stations very close to it. Walking down the street to get there from Times Square at night is not the safest feeling but once you get there everything is great. If you stay here it's because of the lower price and excellent service.

Everyone at the hotel, including front desk, breakfast servers and maintenance personnel were really helpful and efficient.
We never saw anyone laying around, everyone was working and seemed to be on top of things.
We were treated wonderfully, and I would recommend this hotel to anyone planning on going to NY.

Normally stay at a different HIE when in NYC, but it was booked. Definitely NOT on Times Square - had to walk through a rough district to get to Times Square. My daughter and I chose not to leave the hotel after 8pm. Most food at breakfast was gone by 8 am. Front desk would not get us a cab or shuttle to the airport, but had town cars available for substantially more and cash-only. Printer broken and had to use hotel next door to print boarding confirmations to get home. Additionally, found out when checking out that they had not recorded my Priority Club card that I presented when I checked in. On a positive note, hotel room was very clean with plenty of towels and soaps, conditioners, etc. Would have liked to be able to draw blinds for privacy and to be able to sleep without light shining into room. Although it was clean, I simply cannot recommend a nice hotel based on location and services.

I brought my daughter to NYC for a mother daughter birthday trip. The Holiday Inn Express was perfect for us. We wanted a reasonably priced hotel in a good location that was clean and accomodating. We were a 10 minute walk to Times Square. The room was fresh and clean and very spacious for the price. The staff was most accomodating and helpful. The breakfast room was a bit crowded BUT a table always freed up just in time to provide us a seat.I would recommend the Holiday Inn Times Square !

Great location! Great stuff ( especially Judy with concierge) ! Great beds! Room pretty ok size for NYC. Breakfast is good with variety of food offered. Overall very pleasant stay.

Resepshenist warned us that we should get up early for breakfast because in the morning there are very crowded in the breakfas area. But it is difficult to imagine that at 8:30 am next day was so crowded that after 15 minutes in line, we havn't been able to have breakfast. So we had to go eat breakfast somewhere else.
