During my stay I found the entire staff to be friendly and helpful (giving directions, etc.) The room was clean and fresh. Adequate size, but not big. The hotel was just a short taxi ride to Central Park, which I visited for the first time on Mother's Day, even though I have been to NYC many times.
The free breakfast is awesome! So much to choose from. Bagels, pancakes, waffles, fresh fruit, scrambled eggs, hard boiled eggs, bacon, turkey sausage, cereal, yogurt and more.

My daughter and I stayed at the Holiday Inn Express for two nights. We had a nice large room with a king bed and a sofa, and even though it was right beside the elevator the noise wasn't too bad. Staff were very nice, and breakfast was plentiful! It is 3-4 blocks from Time Square and 5th Ave if you don't mind the walk. We sure got a lot of exercise. We walked to Macy's one day and the next day walked to Central Park and along 5th Ave. Great exercise and the weather couldn't be better, 29 degrees. It's only a few blocks to the Theatre too. We would recommend this hotel, when the weather's nice, but would stay somewhere closer to the main areas if it were in the winter.
