I was told that my room had been upgraded as I was selected as "guest of the day"! Hooray! I was pleasantly surprised by the generosity, friendly staff, and clean room. Really enjoyed the cinnamon rolls at breakfast that were still warm-yum! And also appreciated the healthy choices too. Restaurants right down the street on Maiden were plentiful and good! Will stay here again on my next trip to the financial district. March 23, 2014

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great Deal! I was looking for a great hotel for a cheap price (2 nights) and I found it! This is a cute hotel with a GREAT location! I was walking distance from the NY Stock Exchange and a ton of cute spots to eat and relax. The only down sides were the smaller room and the loud marathon that took place in front of the hotel on Sunday morning. Otherwise, I will stay again. March 21, 2014

The free WiFii worked flawlessy and efficiently.The hotel is within easy walking distance of a wide variety of bars and restaurants and appears conveniently located to visit a range of attractions within the Manhattan area. Staff were consistently polite and courteous. I will stay again if I am in the area. March 18, 2014

My business required an extra day and the front desk got me the extra night at the same rate. Omly drawback was the size of the room, with very little closet space...and I only had two suits. Also the heater was so loud it kept me awake at night, or the option was a cold room with quiet. The staff at the buffet was very friendly and helpful, as were your other staff. March 10, 2014
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Good location but poor service & no recognition for Elite status! As a travel agent, I like to travel to different locations and find the best value hotels from the IHG chain. That is why I tried the Wall Street Holiday Inn. As far as Pro's go this hotel's location was perfect as I only had to walk a few blocks for the Metro and Times Square was only 20mins away by rail. The lady who ran the breakfast was very friendly and accommodating, opening up for breakfast 20mins early just for me. Parking is very expensive everywhere and this hotel offers a $6 discount/night, making it cheaper than closer garages. The bed was clean and comfortable. Now the Cons: Parking was 1.5 blocks away and in bad weather it's neither convenient nor fun. The room was extremely small with only 20" clearance on either side of the bed. The desk was directly under the wall mounted TV. There was a clump of hair in the shower pan. The closet was too small to hang my overcoat (only 18" wide). There was no bar to relax at after work or coffee in the lobby. And the worst thing was this: I'm a Platinum Elite member and they didn't offer me an upgrade for my week-long stay all because the upgrade wasn't available on one of the nights. I understand they didn't want to move me for that one night but they didn't even offer me an explanation until I came down and asked. They made no effort to accommodate my status at all. I push membership in IHG so that my clients can have a pleasant stay for minimal cost. When I find a hotel that doesn't recognize member status, I say no way! Sorry Wall Street Holiday Inn but you're not getting any of my client's business until you change your ways and start recognizing us properly! March 4, 2014

My stay was made memorable by the wonderful staff who exceeded my expectation in every single way. ( Ms. Monica's name needs special mention). Thank you every one. Breakfast was good. Wifi speed was excellent and free in the room. I just stayed for one night while on business, but travel to that area frequently and will certainly be back. February 14, 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Enjoyable 4 night stay. Great value. Just back from a four night stay here. Easy trip from JFK via lightrail to Howard Beach and subway A to Fulton Street (1hr10mins $7.50). Hotel is located just off South Seaport, short walk to WTC or Battery Park. Very quick and friendly check in. Room is compact but very comfortable and clean. Safe, iron, AC, coffee and toiletries in room. No problems connecting to Wi-Fi. The AC is a bit loud and as the room tends to lose heat quickly it can come on and off a lot. I left it off at night and slept sound. Very basic gym with one threadmill a cycling machine and stepping machine with a few weights. Breakfast is ok good selection of food. Hot selection could have more variety. I used the 2 and 3 (7 mins walk) subway to go to Madison Sq Garden and Times Sq and the A train to and from the airport. The staff were very friendly and helpful at all times. I had to print a ticket for MSG gig and Sano printed it for me. Another issue I had with a ringing smoke alarm was dealt with very quickly and replaced and a bag of goodies sent to my room for the inconvenience. I'll stay here again. February 13, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great value and location Visitors may consider the Wall Street area out of the way, but it is not. Times Square is 15 minutes away by subway around the corner from the hotel. The South Street Seaport is a short walk. The last decade has seen the financial district come to human life with lots of local residents in the new high rises. Chinatown and its choice of Asian cuisines is a 15 minute walk, less to City Hall. The hotel itself is a well run Holiday Inn Express. Rooms are not large but well equipped. The breakfast choices are copious, pancakes, eggs, bacon, bagels in their varieties and more. If there is a better value on Manhattan Island I have never found it. My New Yorker friends were astounded when I reported my experience and the price. February 13, 2014

They took care of a few billing issues very quickly, as well as boarding passes when the computer in the lobby didn't work well. Very high marks!!! Would recommend this hotel to anyone needing a room in lower NYC. I will return! February 10, 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Convenient location, comfortable room, great shower, good price Although we only stayed one night, the value was incredible. We checking in late, but the staff was very courteous and quick to get us in our room, which we needed since were tired. The room was clean and the heater warmed the room up as soon as we turned it on. Of special note was the shower, which was just what we needed with it's great water pressure and nice temperature which heated up quickly. The breakfast was a treat and, as expected and anticipated, the cinnamon rolls were the BEST!!! For the price paid, one week prior to Christmas, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and have no complaints. Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by HVAC a real Problem...everything else acceptable The hotel is very clean, the breakfast is good. The hotel is very close to Wall Street and the subway. The staff are very friendly. The major problem I have with this hotel is the heating. Each time I have stayed I had a hard time with temperature control. It is either too hot or too cold and the unit is extremely noisy. The heat that blows out of the unit is extremely dry. The two times I have stayed here I got sick, and my skin chapped due to the heating issues. Unfortunately, this is a deal breaker for me and I will need to try another hotel. I don't believe this is something that can be fixed due to the room size, heating unit size and there is a draft coming from the windows. January 9, 2014
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Convenient location and good breakfast The hotel in conveniently located in downtown Manhattan, close to Wall Street and WTC Memorial. I booked it also because it offered breakfast included in the room price and free Internet access. On the positive side, the breakfast was good yet, the room was kept very clean, and most of the amenities were in good condition. Unfortunately, my debit card was not accepted for reasons unrelated to the issuing bank; apparently, the problem was on the hotel side. The temperature in the room was really hard to control, the room cooled off quickly when the heater was off. It was not possible to set a specific temperature on the control unit, in the auto mode it rattled loudly every time it turned on. It was cold in the bathroom. The shower tap did not allow to control the water pressure, only the temperature. The walled-in shower was inconvenient if one would like e.g. to wash one's head only. The speed of the wi-fi connection was not enough to talk per Skype with video switched on. Overall, the room was overpriced. Not all fees charged to my room were indicated when I booked the hotel. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Clean and no frills hotel This is a very simple yet comfortable place with decent free breakfast (I'd recommend sticking to bagels and cream cheese). For good quality salads, soups and sandwiches in the area, check out Flavors on Water Street- a few block from the hotels. Considering how expensive hotels in NYC are during the holidays, I found that I didn't jeopardize service and comfort by coming here. Would recommend and stay again. December 31, 2013

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Gem hidden in Wall Street My husband and I had a last minute get-away to NY to see the city at Christmastime. We were astounded how hard it was to find a room and how high the prices were for rooms. We booked through an online travel website and got the room at the Holiday Inn Express - Wall Street. We arrived late at night, tired and weary from rainy bus travel. The staff expediently checked us in and helped us find a nice bar to grab a bite near Bleeker St. We were very pleased with the room decor and amenities. One suggestion for the Hotel to save on space is to consider mounting the flat screen tv on the wall. It is New York, however,so the rooms were small. The next morning we took advantage of the free breakfast. It was pretty tasty for FREE. The staff was very helpful, they held our luggage as our return trip was later in the day. The hotel is not far from the Subway and its easy to get around anywhere in the city with public transportation. We enjoyed the stay and will be back! December 24, 2013
