Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by jmft2000 Comfortable hotel, great location!
Nice and clean hotel located in the best area of Manhattan, in the middle of the financial center.
Parking a bit expensive and about 2 blocks from the hotel, but this is common for all hotels in the area. It is kind of the price you have to pay for being in the heart of manhattan.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Stinky Bama Front Desk Not Informed About Room Availability
I had a confirmed reservation, but the credit card used to hold the reservation was cancelled because it was hacked. So the reservation was cancelled before I arrived at the hotel, because it was held with a "bad" credit card..
When I arrived at the hotel, the front desk attendant and supervisor both informed me that my reservation was cancelled. They also told me that the hotel was full for that night and that I would need to stay elsewhere.
They tried to find me a room for the night elsewhere in the area and made a number of calls, but neighboring hotels were full. After 20 minutes of futile calls, I had the idea of going online myself to find a hotel room. To my surprise, I was able to book a room online at this hotel (Holiday Inn Express-Wall Street) for that night, even though the hotel front desk and supervisor told me that the hotel was full!
In my opinion, the front desk staff should have offered me a room, even though my original reservation was cancelled, because rooms were freely available to the general public through the internet. I'm really surprised and disappointed that the staff didn't have all of the facts about their own hotel! I can't recommend a hotel with such bad knowledge of their own business.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Tourist in my own town Great location
Stayed here three nights during a girls weekend. I was a "tourist in my own town " with my out of town girlfriends.
The staff was exceptional except for the gentleman who checked me and was condescending about my Rewards Status. I had made an error on a reservation and instead of helping me resolve it made a snide comment about me being "BASIC"....Really? Great way to keep me coming back...
The manager on duty with the lovely British accent helped me get it resolved. All of the other front desk staff went out of their way to be friendly and helpful and it was a pleasant stay.
The lovely lady who takes care of the breakfast room is very hardworking and pleasant.
Walking distance to many things and close to the subway.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Mom2Boys99 Comfortable bed but loud area
I stayed in room 401 which is right near the stairwell door. The number of times the door opened and closed during the night surpassed my expectations. The staff closet is to the right of the room and about 2:30 each morning the cart would come to be loaded so on and off the elevator, rolling the wheels over the threshold, to the closet where they chatted with each other like it was 8am. Overall I loved the location and the cleanliness, but was never able to get a full night's sleep in this room. That said, I would stay again just request a different room away from the stairwell and storage closet.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Italy76 Nice vacation in New York
Room was clean and comfortable, staff was always helpful and smiling, breakfast included and plenty, free wifi connection was good enough in the room to check emails and web through iPhone.
The hotel is located in the heart of financial district, very hectic area during working days but extremely quiet at evenings and week-ends, it is anyway next to Wall Street subway stations.
Temperature in the room was easy to regulate but heating/aircon was very noisy.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Cashimee Great Service, Staff, and Location
Was in town for business and stayed @ this hotel. Rooms was a bit smaller than I am used to, but for NY City it works. Staff was very professional and bent over backwards to accommodate me. For a continental breakfast..the spread was excellent and always fresh. My only issue was the hustle and bustle noise from the streets...but that is the big city and staff cant fixed that. Perhaps a room at a higher level may help.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by PT76 COLD !!
If my. company hadn't made the reservation, I'd have left after the first night. Even with the thermostat set on 80+ F, I had to wear multiple layers of clothing (once had to run hot water in the tub to re warm my feet) just to keep warm. The very loud heater blew as much cold air as warm; its positioning made it most uncomfortable to use the desk, as it blew very strongly into my ear when seated. The staff was quite nice but unable to solve this problem. Breakfast was a notable "high point" - probably the best variety and the friendliest person I have ever seen at any hotel.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by DCTraveller21 A Good Night's Stay
This is a great hotel and I had a wonderful night's stay. To have breakfast included was a major treat! The staff was extremely friendly - from giving dinner recommendations to being very friendly in the dining room. There was even a small gym - which was great to get a cardio exercise in. Both the gym and breakfast were all complimentary - a service not frequently found in NYC hotels!! So this was a great place for my stay! Though the room is not spacious, it was all that was needed for a night's stay.

I arrived late to the hotel on a Monday night. I was told that my room had been upgraded as I was selected as "guest of the day"! Hooray!
I was pleasantly surprised by the generosity, friendly staff, and clean room. Really enjoyed the cinnamon rolls at breakfast that were still warm-yum! And also appreciated the healthy choices too.
Restaurants right down the street on Maiden were plentiful and good!
Will stay here again on my next trip to the financial district.

I was looking for a great hotel for a cheap price (2 nights) and I found it! This is a cute hotel with a GREAT location! I was walking distance from the NY Stock Exchange and a ton of cute spots to eat and relax. The only down sides were the smaller room and the loud marathon that took place in front of the hotel on Sunday morning. Otherwise, I will stay again.

The room although modest in size was adequate to my needs, comfortable and spotlessly clean. The free WiFii worked flawlessy and efficiently. The hotel is within easy walking distance of a wide variety of bars and restaurants and appears conveniently located to visit a range of attractions within the Manhattan area. Staff were consistently polite and courteous. I will stay again if I am in the area.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by DavePhDone Nice but a small room
I usually stay near Times Square, but needed to be downtown and this was an affordable hotel. My business required an extra day and the front desk got me the extra night at the same rate. Omly drawback was the size of the room, with very little closet space...and I only had two suits. Also the heater was so loud it kept me awake at night, or the option was a cold room with quiet.
The staff at the buffet was very friendly and helpful, as were your other staff.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by rharvey65 Good location but poor service & no recognition for Elite status!
As a travel agent, I like to travel to different locations and find the best value hotels from the IHG chain. That is why I tried the Wall Street Holiday Inn.
As far as Pro's go this hotel's location was perfect as I only had to walk a few blocks for the Metro and Times Square was only 20mins away by rail. The lady who ran the breakfast was very friendly and accommodating, opening up for breakfast 20mins early just for me. Parking is very expensive everywhere and this hotel offers a $6 discount/night, making it cheaper than closer garages. The bed was clean and comfortable.
Now the Cons: Parking was 1.5 blocks away and in bad weather it's neither convenient nor fun. The room was extremely small with only 20" clearance on either side of the bed. The desk was directly under the wall mounted TV. There was a clump of hair in the shower pan. The closet was too small to hang my overcoat (only 18" wide). There was no bar to relax at after work or coffee in the lobby. And the worst thing was this: I'm a Platinum Elite member and they didn't offer me an upgrade for my week-long stay all because the upgrade wasn't available on one of the nights. I understand they didn't want to move me for that one night but they didn't even offer me an explanation until I came down and asked. They made no effort to accommodate my status at all.
I push membership in IHG so that my clients can have a pleasant stay for minimal cost. When I find a hotel that doesn't recognize member status, I say no way! Sorry Wall Street Holiday Inn but you're not getting any of my client's business until you change your ways and start recognizing us properly!

The location of this hotel is great, just off wall street. Nothing more you could ask for in location. My stay was made memorable by the wonderful staff who exceeded my expectation in every single way. ( Ms. Monica's name needs special mention). Thank you every one.
Clean and comfortable rooms absolutely recommended except for I would say the noise of air conditioner needs management's attention for the noise it makes.

Our room was typical NYC size but not as small as some we have stayed in. very modern, updated, immaculately clean, and comfortable. Breakfast was good. Wifi speed was excellent and free in the room. I just stayed for one night while on business, but travel to that area frequently and will certainly be back.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Lbno Enjoyable 4 night stay. Great value.
Just back from a four night stay here. Easy trip from JFK via lightrail to Howard Beach and subway A to Fulton Street (1hr10mins $7.50). Hotel is located just off South Seaport, short walk to WTC or Battery Park. Very quick and friendly check in. Room is compact but very comfortable and clean. Safe, iron, AC, coffee and toiletries in room. No problems connecting to Wi-Fi. The AC is a bit loud and as the room tends to lose heat quickly it can come on and off a lot. I left it off at night and slept sound.
Very basic gym with one threadmill a cycling machine and stepping machine with a few weights. Breakfast is ok good selection of food. Hot selection could have more variety.
I used the 2 and 3 (7 mins walk) subway to go to Madison Sq Garden and Times Sq and the A train to and from the airport.
The staff were very friendly and helpful at all times. I had to print a ticket for MSG gig and Sano printed it for me. Another issue I had with a ringing smoke alarm was dealt with very quickly and replaced and a bag of goodies sent to my room for the inconvenience. I'll stay here again.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Shantouman Great value and location
Visitors may consider the Wall Street area out of the way, but it is not. Times Square is 15 minutes away by subway around the corner from the hotel. The South Street Seaport is a short walk. The last decade has seen the financial district come to human life with lots of local residents in the new high rises. Chinatown and its choice of Asian cuisines is a 15 minute walk, less to City Hall. The hotel itself is a well run Holiday Inn Express. Rooms are not large but well equipped. The breakfast choices are copious, pancakes, eggs, bacon, bagels in their varieties and more. If there is a better value on Manhattan Island I have never found it. My New Yorker friends were astounded when I reported my experience and the price.
