Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great hotel We spent 7 nights. The hotel is very well located, clean and friendly. Excellent wifi and 2 computers for free with printers. Shampoos, shower caps etc added every day. Good breakfast. Hotel very reccomended January 1, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Clean and no frills hotel This is a very simple yet comfortable place with decent free breakfast (I'd recommend sticking to bagels and cream cheese). For good quality salads, soups and sandwiches in the area, check out Flavors on Water Street- a few block from the hotels. Considering how expensive hotels in NYC are during the holidays, I found that I didn't jeopardize service and comfort by coming here. Would recommend and stay again. December 31, 2013

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Gem hidden in Wall Street My husband and I had a last minute get-away to NY to see the city at Christmastime. We were astounded how hard it was to find a room and how high the prices were for rooms. We booked through an online travel website and got the room at the Holiday Inn Express - Wall Street. We arrived late at night, tired and weary from rainy bus travel. The staff expediently checked us in and helped us find a nice bar to grab a bite near Bleeker St. We were very pleased with the room decor and amenities. One suggestion for the Hotel to save on space is to consider mounting the flat screen tv on the wall. It is New York, however,so the rooms were small. The next morning we took advantage of the free breakfast. It was pretty tasty for FREE. The staff was very helpful, they held our luggage as our return trip was later in the day. The hotel is not far from the Subway and its easy to get around anywhere in the city with public transportation. We enjoyed the stay and will be back! December 24, 2013

I was getting married in NYC while I was staying at this hotel and the day of our wedding, the Assistant General Manager Scott Hall came up to our room with a box of chocolates and a wedding card signed by the staff. This was totally unexpected, and very, very thoughtful! The two things I would change for this location: Due to the location of the hotel - the rate was expensive. To get into the main area's, you had to walk a distance to get to a subway or pay plenty for a taxi. Also, the queen size room was very, very small. Clean, but very small and hard to get around in. The hotel was also in a safe area and close to the subway. The only downside was that the heater would alternate between blasting hot and cold air. I would definitely stay here again. I was just trying to look at normal web sites, and kept getting strange error messages stating that the sites I was requesting had been blocked for a variety of dubious and inaccurate political reasons. It is one thing to run into this on a public kiosk; it is strange and unacceptable to run into censorware from my own laptop in the privacy of my own hotel room. It's possible that someone selected this internet service without knowing it was heavily censored. In that case, a new service provider simply needs to be selected. It's also possible, however, that someone selected this censoring service intentionally. In that case, he or she should be immediately terminated from employment, and replaced with someone who values hotel guests' experiences more than his or her warped personal theories about internet content. To work around the censorware, look at the DNS settings that the DHCP server gives to you. Remove all of the search domains. Remove all of the DNS server addresses except the one that consists of four of the same digit. Set your network configuration to use manual options so that these do not get reset when the connection cycles (which happens pretty frequently). This will allow you to access the blocked sites normally. December 9, 2013

We did not want to rent a car, so decided to stay here near the ferry terminal, and it was perfect! The staff was so nice, both at the desk & in the breakfast area! The hotel is within walking distance to all the attractions on Wall Street & Freedom Tower. There are subways all around, and the ferrys are 5 blocks away. The hotel was very clean, rooms very clean with comfortable beds/pillows & in room coffee & hair dryer! November 2, 2013

The reception staff were very very helpful and welcoming and one of them assertively gave me what turned out to be great advice on how to avoid jet lag on the return journey. The location of the hotel was the main reason I chose it as my meeting was in Water Street. I found the staff to be very friendly and helpful. The bed was also a large king size bed and very comfortable. The only disappointment really was the size of the room which was quote small for the high price paid. The king size bed was comfortable and everything appeared new and clean. We are members and appreciate the 12 PM checkout time. Breakfast was good and saved us time and money.
