Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Perfect for the Weekend in NYC The room was small but we didn't spend much time there as we were busy enjoying NYC. The king size bed was comfortable and everything appeared new and clean. We are members and appreciate the 12 PM checkout time. Breakfast was good and saved us time and money. The staff was friendly and helpful. There is a subway station close by. October 17, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Value for money I always pick this hotel when in NYC because the hotel is reasonably priced within the business financial district where our business meetings are just few walks away. The staff serving breakfast is very friendly and hospitable. The only sad part is they don't clean the room early so when we return to the hotel late in the afternoon to rest, we still have to wait for our room to be fixed. October 14, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Place To Stay! I have to say I found my new favorite place to stay in NYC. Everyone was extremely friendly. From the Asst Mgr to the lady who runs the breakfast restaurant (and she's a hoot). Rooms were a good size and very comfortable. The WiFi was exceptional with no glitches or any logon challenges. What a great place to stay........ October 12, 2013

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Comfortable bed and great breakfast The hotel is located in a wonderful area, which is really quiet at night. The room is a little small but incredibly clean and the breakfast is excellent! Thanks to Mrs Sofia for being so nice!!! October 4, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Service From emailing staff about parking prior to the trip, to the nice gentlemen checking us in after a long day of flying, from the great location to the ferry to Statue of Liberty and 9/11 Memorial to the great breakfast and wonderful breakfast hostess, the Holiday Inn Express made for an amazing trip! Thank you! October 3, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Welcoming, friendly, helpful service + a good location We were warmly welcomed every time we entered the hotel. Service in every area was great. Location was good, close to Seaport and Subway entrances. October 3, 2013

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by tidy and comfort In general, I like this hotel during my 4 nights stay. The room is clean and comfort, and the staff is helpful. Location is good. M15 bus runs from lower town to upper town, the bus stop is just outside of the hotel entrance door. Subway 2,3, 4, 5, R are in minuts walking distance. I would like this hotel can have following improvements from my experience, 1, The free wireless connection are not stable as interruptiosn are happend time to time. 2, Unfortunately, I was assigned to a 2nd floor room which the scafolding was just outside of the window. The privacy is lost and the sunlight is blocked. September 28, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great place Great place but rates have gone up quite a bit since last year. September 27, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent As a Business Major Student in Hospitality Management and a frequent traveler to New York I would highly recommend this place. I've been coming here for three years and around three times a year and staff are always friendly and helpful. September 26, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by The room was not suited for 3 persons. We had no possibility to find a place for our luggage. The room should be rented only for two persons. The possibility to have breakfast was great. September 25, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Good location - great staff great location. Good staff - very helpful - small rooms as typical for NYC rooms.....and expensive! Otherwise, good experience September 23, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent Weekend Stay I enjoyed the location for a quick weekend trip to NY City. It was convenient to a the Wall Street metro for quick access to most points in the city. I was overwhelmed by the friendliest employee working the breakfast area - she was extremely diligent in keeping the area stocked, clean and comfortable. While the rooms are smaller compared to most non-NYC hotels, it was clean and served the purpose. September 21, 2013
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by It will do The first room was smaller than I imagined and the bathroom was dirty. The floor wasn't washed properly and the layers of dust on the sink ledge was appalling. We moved to another room that was cleaner, however; the air conditioner leaked on the carpet so much that you had to wear footwear in the room. After I informed the front desk, nothing was done about it. I could have spent the same amount of money elsewhere and felt comfortable. September 6, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent value, very clean, great staff The staff and cleanliness of this hotel is what makes it. Obviously the location is somewhat inconvenient because it's down in the financial district, so getting anywhere else in the city takes some time, but with some planning, it's not a problem. There are also some excellent restaurants in the area (Harry's Pizza). Our room was very clean upon arrival and was cleaned every day while we were out and about. The front desk staff is extremely helpful at anytime of day or night, and the woman who runs the breakfast buffet is really on top of things. In sum, this is a great, no frills, clean hotel with a very helpful staff in a very safe area of town. September 2, 2013
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Beds much too short Great location for a reasonable price - for Manhattan that is-, but very cramped. Biggest disadvantage: beds are way too short and I am 1.90 mtrs. HIE should really replace the beds. September 1, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by the staff and room First I got to say,you have to stay here the best staff in the hotel industry. From the time you enter the lobby to the time your in your room.the staff and manament had a smile and was more than helpful. Sonly in the buffet room was super great.our next trip to the city will be staying here. We went up to get married and that night the staff had given us a bottle of champagne. What a great surprise. Because of the staff and the cleanness of the hotel we will stay at holiday inn express hotel for now on . again thank you staff ,you made our stay the best. August 31, 2013
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by OK Experience Room is tooo small but bed is comfortable. I will not complaint about room size as its right at Wall Street. I do had bad experience when I checked in. Their were mosquito's in the room and I requested to change room but was denied (Horrible). When I forced they to change my room then only they did. August 31, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by I've stayed here twice and will make it my NYC headquarters whenever I'm there This Holiday Inn Express is clean and comfortable, with an excellent free breakfast. It has a business center which makes it easy to check in with the airline and print boarding passes. It is close, walking distance, to many fine restaurants and tourist destinations. It is convenient to the subway system which is very economical and easy to use to get all over the city. The staff is very helpful and friendly. They even had my rewards number entered when I arrived for check-in. I stepped out of the room to find a newspaper, which didn't take long, since there was one outside my door already. I'll definitely stay here every time I'm in NYC. August 28, 2013
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Good Location if you want to be near Wall Street 1. Stayed at this property only because client is located in the vicinity. Walking distance to subway lines if you need to get around, all within 10 minutes walk. 2. Front Desk Staff, particularly Yazmin and Catherine (? Oriental girl) were most professional and sincerely helpful . Others I interacted with were pleasant enough but did not exude real friendliness nor warmth. In short, service standard is not consistent across the board. 3. Room-size is small and compact. Hardly any room to move about. One electrical socket was not working and battery to safe was dead. Serviceman who fixed it was prompt, efficient and , which alleviated my frustration. 4. Shower curtain is not long enough to drape over the raised tiled barrier along edge of shower area such that waterttrails the drapes and outside the shower area, wetting the toilet floor constantly and required mopping up everyday with bath towels. 5. Breakfast during my stay was the same old thing piled on top of the other. Gooey mushroom soup lay out in a pan is a far cry from hot soup in a constantly heated pot. Some variation and quality food would be nice. Worthwhile mentioning is the lady manning the breakfast area. She is friendly towards all guests and is fast, efficient and helpful. Works hard. 6. There is no room for a fridge so one has to take the elevator to the lower floor to get ice and munchies which is somewhat inconvenient late at night. August 28, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Amazing staff The staff was far above anything I could have expected. I would definitely stay there again based solely on that fact alone. Other than that the location was very convenient and the breakfast was actually pretty good. The rooms, as everyone has mentioned, are fairly small. But again the bright spot was the staff - probably the most friendly and accommodating I have ever experienced. August 22, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great service The staff was great. They are very helpful and always have a smile on their faces. August 17, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Outstanding!!! The entire staff was friendly. Our room was either new or renovated to a very high quality. Breakfast choices were widely varied, 2 egg choices, a meat choice, hot cereal, 3 cold cereals, sweet rolls, bagels or English muffins, hot coffee and tea, milk, 3 varieties of juice & water! There was also an automatic pancake maker that was good (according to my 14 year old son who is used to my scratch ones). There were 2 computers in the lobby & a workout area in the lower level. This is very close to the Staten Island Ferry. Air was easy to adjust and TV was great! August 16, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by This place was great The staff is great; I seen a smile on every face. Thanks for making our trip great. August 12, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by wonderful stay I spent 3 nights in this hotel and i was able to relax and enjoy my stay. the staff were very friendly and able to help with all my questions and give me advice on where to go and what to see. the high line being an experience i did not expect! August 12, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by A pleasant stay, nice room and good value. Comfortable, clean, my room was up to date and overall a good NYC Financial District value. The room was small as are most NYC rooms that I have experienced, however it worked great for just myself traveling on business to the area. Lobby is rather plain and utilitarian for NYC, so don't be put off by first impressions, the room I stayed in was nice. The staff was friendly and efficient. August 9, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by great breakfast the room was clean, modern and comfortable. It was on the small side but could be standard size for NYC. We were on the 2nd floor and the street noise was quite load although it didn't bother us when sleeping. Breakfast was great with an abundance of choice, The service was very friendly August 7, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by great service and location! Everyone from the moment i arrived (and was able to check in early) was helpful and kind... The room was small and comfortable... the bathroom neat... Location was convenient... Would stay here again when in New York! Also the woman in teh breakfast area was outstanding! August 7, 2013
