The rooms in this hotel are probably average for NYC room size, but small compared to anywhere else. If you are at the front of the hotel the Irish Bar over the road is very loud. We were initially given a room on the second floor where we could hear it a lot. Asked to be moved and was given 10th floor, but unfortunately it was equally as loud.
I was disappointed, as I had requested (months before my stay) a quiet room, and a view of the Empire State Building. I got neither. I understand it was busy, but the noise really is quite an issue from the bar, particularly if you are a light sleeper, which sadly I am. I wore ear plugs and could still hear it.
This was a points stay, so i didn't pay for the room. I doubt I would pay to stay here again, I would consider a points redemption. The location was very good, a short walk from Times Square, subway station just round the corner, and plenty of shops and eateries all around.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by CIERVO GALVAN Great location, nice breakfast and excellent staff
Excellent location and for the price you will not find anything comparable, great breakfast choices, rooms are a little small, but hey its NYC in Times square. HAd a problem during check in, but Chris from the front desk and the manager made perfect arrangements to fix the problem and adjust the bill. One block away from subway, and walking distance to MSG and broadway theaters, I highly recommend
