Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great location , staff and value A great stopover at the Metro Centre . Great value , refurbished rooms , spotless and super staff . I was overnight on business with a lot to carry and work to do so the staff got me a quiet room near to reception . Wifi was easy to connect and quick . There are three places to eat next to the hotel . Breakfast was adequate... hot and cold choices . I didn't have a good night's sleep but probably a one-off reason . I was woken by creaking floorboards but yet couldn't hear any footsteps from above . Really loud and non stop . I decided to close my window as my room had become quite cold which point the creaking stopped!! It was extremely windy - the night the tail end of the hurricane passed through but very very bizarre! My only criticism was that there isn't a socket anywhere near a mirror ...females with straighteners etc aren't catered for! October 25, 2014

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by mirror in bedrooms I think the situation of the mirror in the rooms is not very serviceable (it was probably a man that designed its position) The lighting is poor when a woman is using cosmetics, and standing up gets tiring. What is wrong with a Dressing Table near the window or near a decent light? It definitely needs thinking about October 9, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 Illness during stay I booked this hotel to show my partner Newcastle but on the first day I was taken ill and had to add on 2 extra days the staff couldn't do enough for me so kind and helpful. My partner still hasn't seen Newcastle but we will definitely be back to this hotel. October 9, 2014
