Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Nice Room - Terrible Breakfast This was a very convenient hotel and the room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was terrible however. If you stay here plan to eat out unless you like oatmeal. There were meat and egg dishes, but when I got there less than 10mins after the opening of breakfast they already looked like they had been on the steamer table for several hours. The cinnamon rolls where dry and flaky and untasteful under the heat laps, but not very warm. November 10, 2014

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Need to pay attention to cleaning and new bedding. This is the second time we have stayed at this property. In both cases it is the attention to cleaning the room that is the problem. Both times little things were forgotten like leaving glasses in the bathroom. The first time the whole bag of garbage bags was left behind. Not vacuming under the pull-out couch, so gross when we pulled the bed open. Then, that's where the other problem comes in. You have to ask for bedding at the front desk. They give two sheets and the roughest uncomfy blanket ever. And, that's it,. No comforter. The poor person who sleeps on the couch has to freeze all night ( cause there is no heating control in the couch area). We asked for a comforter but we were told they did not have a key to the room where they were stored. Sad thing is that we need to stay close to Bradford and this is the closest Hotel. They need to have a chat with the cleaning staff and someone neeeds to be responsible for ensuring that proper vacuming is done and that all amenities that are supposed to be in the room (like shampoo) are there. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great hotel - comfortable, clean rooms with friendly staff When I originally booked at the Holiday Inn Express, I was worried that it would be a low quality room, because of the "express" title. I couldn't be more wrong. From the moment we entered the hotel, I knew it was the right choice. The staff was very friendly and efficient and our room was so clean with lots of room to move around. I was very comfortable. The bed and pillows were great also - I had the best sleep I'd had in a while. I would definitely return! November 3, 2014

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Only one criticism As always we chose Holiday Inn Express. We try to choose this brand whenever we travel primarily because the entire hotel is smoke free. In too many other hotels we have been assigned a smoke free room with bedding an carpeting emanating a faint tobacco odour. The other benefit is that the rooms are clean, the beds are firm and the staff is knowledgeable and helpful. This location, in Newmarket Ontario was no exception. We also like Holiday Inn Express for the breakfast room and selection. The Newmarket location breakfast room needs help. The management needs to review the setup and modify it to allow the traffic to flow smoothly. This breakfast room needs to have the toaster updated to the professional conveyer type and it should be moved to the very end of the counter. If this was done clients would move through and not be held up by a roadblock caused by a slow, ordinary pop-up type, toaster placed in the middle of the counter. November 2, 2014

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by overall great room Walked in and received a warm welcome . Requested a later checkout time for the next morning and did not have an issue having it. Upon arriving at the room was surprised to see a separate bedroom area and sitting area. Since I was there with my family it was nice that my wife could watch her show on one TV while my kids and I could watch the hockey game on a separate TV without hearing each other. October 20, 2014

When she told us where we would be staying I went on line to check it out and discovered that I could sign up for IHG number which I did. When we arrived at reception they asked if I wished to apply for an IHG number and I told I had already done that on line and they promptly entered my IHG number. The staff are friendly and very helpful and our room was clean and comfortable. We were staying at this hotel because I had to be at the hospital for medical procedures on two days and did not want to rush home afterward. This hotel is literally 10 minutes from the hospital and we never had to face the traffic due to construction on the main road. We were especially impressed with the breakfast which provided pretty much everything you would need for a healthy start to your day. October 9, 2014

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by never seem to be able to get it right I have stayed at this hotel many times as I travel on business and the hotel is very close to where I need to be. The problems I have had in the past have gone to the point where the management staff have told me they would always check my room before I got there to ensure everything is right with the room. The last stay I checked in the toilet was plugged another time a leg was broken off the desk. The rooms are always dusty I can right my name in the dust on the microwave. The best way to describe the hotel is that they are very inconsistent at being able to live up to the level of service that they should be delivering. The staff is very friendly and always greeting you with a smile. With issues I have had in the past and the latest check in to a room with a plugged toilet I do not know if I will stay at this hotel for my next business trip.. October 1, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by quiet and comfortable room I found the staff courteous and the room was comfortable however I would like to comment that the duvet covers on both beds looked crumpled and lumpy instead of fluffy and inviting. The room was cleaned satisfactorily however most times items to be replaced were forgotten such as coffee, plastic glasses. The soaps and lotions were always replaced and the bathroom was very clean. Helpful in finding me a restaurant for the evening and pub during the night. Clean and fresh room. Wow 42" LCD HD TVs, great. Checked around the room and wasroom to find any issues, none. Next morning the hot breakfast was fulfilling and enough variety to choose from. A young lady with a cheerful talk checked me out. Will definately recommand and stay here again. September 24, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Just Relax Smooth, smiling check in by a warm lady at the front desk. She was handling a very rude customer who did not have a credit card. The front desk was giving an alternative solution which the guest in front of me still could not provide. Seemed guest had no money. No need to argue and be disrespectful to front desk staff. When it came for me to check in, she reassembled her self with a smile and checked me in. Perfect. Went to our room and was clean and fresh, just like all HI Express'. Nice hot breakfast, indoor pool, whirlpool and fitness room. Will definitely come to this property and all other Express'. September 18, 2014
