Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Recommend this Hotel. Although the cost of this hotel was more expensive than other hotels in the area, we were happy with our stay. The staff are friendly and very helpful and our room was clean and comfortable. We were staying at this hotel because I had to be at the hospital for medical procedures on two days and did not want to rush home afterward. This hotel is literally 10 minutes from the hospital and we never had to face the traffic due to construction on the main road. We were especially impressed with the breakfast which provided pretty much everything you would need for a healthy start to your day. October 9, 2014

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by never seem to be able to get it right I have stayed at this hotel many times as I travel on business and the hotel is very close to where I need to be. The problems I have had in the past have gone to the point where the management staff have told me they would always check my room before I got there to ensure everything is right with the room. The last stay I checked in the toilet was plugged another time a leg was broken off the desk. The rooms are always dusty I can right my name in the dust on the microwave. The best way to describe the hotel is that they are very inconsistent at being able to live up to the level of service that they should be delivering. The staff is very friendly and always greeting you with a smile. With issues I have had in the past and the latest check in to a room with a plugged toilet I do not know if I will stay at this hotel for my next business trip.. October 1, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by quiet and comfortable room I found the staff courteous and the room was comfortable however I would like to comment that the duvet covers on both beds looked crumpled and lumpy instead of fluffy and inviting. The room was cleaned satisfactorily however most times items to be replaced were forgotten such as coffee, plastic glasses. The soaps and lotions were always replaced and the bathroom was very clean. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Managed Well Went into the hotel and saw a line of people during check in time. Waited by turn and the hotel manager checked me in with ease. Helpful in finding me a restaurant for the evening and pub during the night. Clean and fresh room. Wow 42" LCD HD TVs, great. Checked around the room and wasroom to find any issues, none. Next morning the hot breakfast was fulfilling and enough variety to choose from. A young lady with a cheerful talk checked me out. Will definately recommand and stay here again. September 24, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Just Relax Smooth, smiling check in by a warm lady at the front desk. She was handling a very rude customer who did not have a credit card. The front desk was giving an alternative solution which the guest in front of me still could not provide. Seemed guest had no money. No need to argue and be disrespectful to front desk staff. When it came for me to check in, she reassembled her self with a smile and checked me in. Perfect. Went to our room and was clean and fresh, just like all HI Express'. Nice hot breakfast, indoor pool, whirlpool and fitness room. Will definitely come to this property and all other Express'. September 18, 2014

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Hotel tries harder Things were not perfect at this hotel but when any problem did arise, the staff handled it promptly and professionally. Most things were very good at this hotel and I would stay here again if I were in the area. The absolute best part of this hotel were the beds and pillows. I slept better at this hotel than I have ever slept in any other hotel ever. The pool and spa area were nice and the towels were plentiful. September 15, 2014

Our previous visit had been on a shopping spree, but she was back at school for this one. Your Day Man was delightful to us. He made us both feel very special. I wouldn't hesitate to go back. It felt so right for me. When I got to my room, I just put my feet up and relaxed. I was home. September 15, 2014

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by terrible front desk service and very rude We arrived as a part of a soccer team with many other families that were suppose to stay on the same floor. The front desk did not have our room ready for over 2 hrs from the time they said it would be ready and it was not on the same floor with the other team families and when we asked to change the front desk manager was rude to myself and husband. The suite that I upgraded was dusty and the bathroom was full of soap scum. Very disappointed in the overall experience. There definitely should be consideration for new employees in this particular hotel or courses offered in customer care! I would not recommended this hotel until changes were made!!! Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by excellent stay Staff was very friendly and informative. After a business trip we stayed with a wedding group party and all met for breakfast the next morning. The coffee was great, the breakfast had a good selection of food and although very busy the breakfast area was clean and well organized. The room was exceptional and the pillows and beds were very comfortable. We needed a good rest and we got it. All in all a pleasant surprise. We will be back. September 10, 2014

Went to the room, and it was nicely decorated, with fridge/microwave, 42" HD LCD TVs, and wireless internet access. The bed was a pillow top. WoW. The pool was refreshing, except for the darn kids. Kids will be kids. Next moring the hot buffet breafast was fulfilling. 5 Stars. Excellent. September 9, 2014

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Check Bathtub for Cleanliness The cleaning staff at hotels provide a much needed service and almost always do a fine job given the mess left behind by some guests or young children. Take time to let the Hotel Franchisor/Manager know of your experience since this is a highly competitive sector so they have an opportunity to amend their ways and learn first hand from their guests. Safe parking and/or long term parking for business travellers are also an area of concern. Hot breakfast is a sure winner for this hotel chain. September 7, 2014

I brought the specific problems to the attention of the Manager at the front desk and even these specific issues were not rectified. This hotel is extremely overpriced for the quality of service received. I will not be returning. September 2, 2014

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by This hotel is not clean I stay at IHG properties at least 1 to 2 times per week as you can see by my priority club membership. Your Newmarket property does not meet your normal standards at all. I haven't stayed here for a long time because of the cleanliness or lack there of, but last week, purely out of convenience decided to give it another try. There were stained wash cloths in the bathroom. There was and is always dust on the headboards and behind the night tables. The tile floors around and in the elevators are never washed clean. The general cleanliness of the hotel is not comforting or welcoming. I won't be giving them another chance. August 31, 2014

The Holiday Inn Express was easy to get to from the highway we were on, in fact it was easy from the two major highway in the area. We did not call ahead. We stopped and asked for a room, the hotel was almost full, the desk clerk was very helpful and found the exact room we needed. They were very friendly and helpful, including directing us to an excellent Chinese Rest. nearby. My husband and I would definitely use this hotel again. August 25, 2014

Arrived on floor to find supply carts, dirty linen and our room being made up and cleaned - waited 15+ minutes while the work was completed.
