Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Hotel and parking lot under construction My recent trip to the Newport Beach hotel was horrible. Upon arrival to the hotel we were directed to a parkinglot in which many of the parking spaces were dug up and had barriers around them. As we approached the lobby there was plastic over the Windows directing us to the back door of the hotel. As we walked we noticed many of the rooms had plastic over their windows. The makeshift lobby was at the end of the hotel hallway. The receptionist was pleasant and checked us in. When we told her we had 2 automobiles she refused to give us a 2nd parking pass as she said we were only allowed one. But in other stays we were gladly given a 2nd. We were told there was free parking behind the hotel but when we checked it out there was no way to drive around the building because of construction. We decided to take our chances and risk getting towed as there wouldn't be anyway for a tow truck to squeeze into that lot. We were very disappointed that we were not advised of the construction or offered an alternative location Before arrival as other hotels have done with far fewer inconveniences. Even the breakfast room was squeezed into a small room with very few seats so we opted to eat out. This was a terrible experience and we will never stay there again. February 6, 2016

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by A Total Mess From the greeting by staff at a makeshift check in counter, to not receiving the room I requested, to one day not having any housecleaning, everything was a mess, including the work going on in the lobby and some of the rooms. Wished I had known they were doing some construction. I may have avoided this hotel. I know I will avoid it in the future. February 1, 2016

When we arrived they had already run out of parking spaces for their guest, and it was my understanding that they were not even fully booked. The rest was down hill from there, I'll leave the rest of our disastrous stay up to your imagination. January 24, 2016
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Super Slow I stayed at this property on vacation with my family. The hotel is not so good at all in a nice area, especially slow service. When I called after a week about the welcome points that they offered me, a female staff said "they need two to three weeks to deposit in to my account". Really, other IHG hotels need a few days for this process. Overall, I am not happy about it. January 24, 2016

The room was very clean and the bed was so comfortable, I didn't want to get up the next day. Can't wait to return. Staff was friendly and very professional! January 21, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Needed to be closed or greatly reduced price during renovation! Poor parking, exterior, front desk, dark hallways, and cheap breakfast. Unfortunately, our other family members elected not to stay through out the night due to the bed being damp. Our intention is to ask for a refund for that night. January 14, 2016
