Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Really Impressed With This Hotel Our usual hotel in the Yorktown area was full due to the CNU graduation, so we decided to give this hotel a try. My husband and I were very impressed with what we found! We were lucky to have gotten a room on one of the newly remodeled floors and, without a doubt, this was the nicest stay we have had at a Holiday Inn/Holiday Inn Express. The mattresses and pillows were super-comfortable, the lighting was awesome, the bathroom was bright and spacious, and even though the hotel is right next to I-64, we heard no traffic noise at all. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful - just as nice as they could be. The hot breakfast was excellent! All in all, about as good as a hotel experience can get. May 18, 2016

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Steps in the right direction We stayed here during (towards the end of?) the hotel's renovations. While it was definitely steps in the right direction there is still some work to be done. It would have been nice to know about said renovations prior to showing up at the hotel. To be honest I probably would have made other arrangements had I known. The front desk gave me 500 points upon checkin to "compensate" for the renovations but considering the cost of the hotel, that's pennies if anything at all - pretty bad compensation. The room was comfortable (or at least the bed was), but incomplete and the AC had to strain to keep the room at temperature. There were light fixtures without bulbs, no closet, and it just generally felt like the room was unfinished. All in all, I would consider staying here again but not until these renovations are completed. Also a word to IHG management -- when you have a hotel under renovations, advise your guests when they're making the reservations, not when they're checking into the hotel. May 11, 2016
