Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Disappointing I normally have such a lovely time and stay quite often as it is handy for visiting family. The staff are normally so friendly and courteous but this time were not. I called to change my room rate as a lower rate was available online and was told I would have to change the booking online myself. I asked for a twin room but the bad were literally 4 inches apart. Thankfully I went with a close friend so was not too much of an issue for us. If this had been a business stay it would have been a different matter. We were advised on check in there was a group booking and they would be down for breakfast at 8.30. The walked past our room at 8.10 (with no consideration for other guests) to go to breakfast then back to their rooms at 8.30, to collect luggage. Before congregating outside our window with even more noise. Nevermind the fact I could hear each door the group leader knocked on to wake everyone up. We got down to breakfast and had to wait 15 minutes for the hot food to be replenished. There no sausages, the scrambled egg was dry and I didn't want beans alone. When the hot items were brought out they were satisfactory. On check out I mentioned the noise the group had made and was asked if I called reception to let them know.I said I couldn't as my friend was asleep next to the phone. And was told that I should have and they would told the groups leaders to ask them to keep the noise down. Considering the noise was the group leaving I don't see how this would have helped. I normally enjoy me stays here, but feel incredibly let down and slightly embarrassed as I had been boasting how lovely the hotel and staff were. I'm disappointed in my trip. May 3, 2015

Bar and food services are good, pizza is excellent. Breakfast has a good variety with cooked, cereals, toast etc, and drinks. Bed was very comfortable with a choice of pillows. April 28, 2015
