Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by a stop night after long drive We arrived the hotel pretty late. The hotel tried to help us to implement a temp bed for kid and we are thanksful. The hotel is a little bit old but it is good enough for our stay between a long drive. August 17, 2014

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Felt Like I was sleeping in an ashtray! This hotel still has smoking floors and rooms. I grew up with smokers so I am used to the smell but this was ridiculous!! As soon as we got in bed I felt like I laid in an ashtray and the smoke was consuming us. Since the windows only opened about 2 inches, which I am sure is a safety measure, we needed to head outside to get some fresh air. Weird the hotel takes safety precautions with their windows but not the fact that a cigerette can catch the whole place on fire or the damage that second hand smoke could have on their guests. We could not take it anymore and had to leave after about 3 hours. Staff had no answer but that the hotel has contracts with local businesses that still want smoking rooms. You would think that after we only stayed here for a short period of time they would have discounted the room or gave us something for a future stay somewhere else!!! Very disappointing!! WiFi was extremaly slow and constanatly buffering. had a hard time completing work in the room. Had to use personal hotspots towards the last couple of days there. August 11, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Always a home away from home After 31 stays at this hotel, nothing has changed. The staff is always welcoming and helpful. The entire hotel is spotless. Nothing is ever too much trouble. It's so nice to call and be remembered or welcomed into the lobby by name by the hotel staff. They are a friendly group! I often bring my mother along with me. She is in a wheelchair and the accommodations are perfect for her. I feel safe leaving her in the dining room while I finish packing up and the kitchen staff is always friendly and chatty with her. Everyone just makes us feel so much at home! August 9, 2014
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Terrible smoke odor We really liked the hotel except for the extremely strong odor of cigarette smoke which was overwhelming as soon as we exited the elevator.. We had a third floor room at the very end of the hall near a stairway. We were in the half of the floor that was designated non-smoking. Our room and the hallway reeked of smoke to the point where it gave me a headache. The stairwell was filled with a smoky odor, probably due to the fact that smokers were clustered right outside the outer door and the smoke rose up the stairwell like a chimney. My first recommendation would be to designate the hotel as smoke-free as so many of the HI Express properties are now. If this is not feasible, then move the smokers away from the outside doors to at least 25 feet from the building. The evening staff when we checked in was very friendly and accommodating. They recommended a great place for dinner nearby. Everything else was fine, but the smoke issue made for an unpleasant experience. We are long time Holiday Inn/ IHG members and always choose these hotels when we have a choice. Thank you. August 7, 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by surpassed my expectations This was such a clean hotel. Everywhere I looked it shined. I don't think I have ever stayed in a hotel sooo clean. The staff was really friendly. We had a family member end up in the hospital and the staff showed empathy. August 4, 2014
