Our stay was mostly great. We had an emergency at the last minute when about to check out. We called the desk to ask for a later check out. Even a half hour. We were told that they could not do it. We explained that one of the kids had gotten sick, to no avail. We were told we had to leave or would get charged for another day. Not very nice.

The only issue I had, when I set my wakeup called I never got one. Other then that my over all experience was great.

The gentleman at the front desk was very helpful. Even called the taxi company for us to see what the cost would be to go to the ISU Redbird Stadium. Room was very nice. Breakfast was good. Location is right where it needs to be.

Sometimes the little things make a big difference. A lot of people use sweeteners. Probably more than use sugar. The only choice at the breakfast bar was sweet and low. Most people I know do not care for the aftertaste. Is it really that difficult to provide a couple of choices? Equal and Splenda are used by many. Never been in a motel where I couldn't find one or both along with sweet and low. Had to go to my car to get sweetener to put in my coffee.Otherwise, I nice comfortable place to stay.

We were placed in a room right next to the library and there was a party there (very loud with music). We could hear everything right in our room. We have two young children and were trying to get them to sleep but could not due to the noise. Called the front desk and was told they would ask them to be quiet. However, the noise continued and so we made a second call. At that time we were told they were paying customers and they could be as loud as they wanted (was I not a paying customer too). I was then given the option to wait until they were done with their party or move (after 10:00 at night) my children to another room. It was one of the worse stays at a hotel I have had.

We had to ask to give Priority Club number upon check-in because the man who took our reservation did not give me the chance to give it, and that same rep did not ask if we were Priority Club members at check-in. The rep confirmed the reservation (two night stay) and did offer an upgraded room. The breakfast bar was lacking in options and quality in comparison to the many other HIE properties we have visited. On day two we were locked out of our room when returning after 8 pm. The rep on duty at the desk said the hotel records identified us as having only a one night stay and that was why our key cards did not unlock our room. He did apologize and gave new keys. Upon entering our room we found that housekeeping had not cleaned, made the bed, or left clean towels. We again spoke with the front desk rep, received an apology and an explanation that housekeeping was gone for the day. We obtained clean towels. We have a child in college in Normal and we will visit often in the coming year but will most likely not choose HIE again even though we usually prefer IHG properties.

The hotel was clean, but had lingering smoke smells in our room. Air conditioner was very hard to regulate. Breakfast was very good with variety each day. We were there for five nights. A few of those nights had Benjamin as our nighttime host. He was quick to discipline our children when they were not being loud or ill behaved, we would even be standing there. If the hotel s going to be made available to softball teams during national tournaments in the future, a little respect for well behaved girls would be appreciated.

Although I love staying at this hotel once I am settled in, I have found that the air conditioning is always off upon arrival. When the heat index is over 90, it would be wonderful if the room didn't feel like a sauna when I walked into it.
The other IHG properties in the area do not seem to have this problem, and although this hotel is more convenient for me, I may consider my choice at least for the remainder of the summer. I stay in Bloomington 2-3 nights every week.

I've stayed at this Holiday Inn Express several times now. I have always been pleased with the quality of service and accommodations. The staff has always been courteous and helpful. Facility is clean and comfortable. Reasonable rates. Great place to stay!

The desk personal were very friendly and helpful. We arrived a little early and they had to move us around due to housekeeping. We offered to come back later, but they took care of it. The hotel/room were very clean. Location was great - right off interstate, close to ISU, and lots of shopping close to the hotel. Would stay again when we are in the area.

The rest of the front desk staff was absolutely clueless and not very helpful. When asked for service because toilet would not flush they handed over a plunger and when asked where the nearest Catholic church was they said there is a computer to look it up. Not very personable.
Our air conditioner did not work very well but the service guy was great and very helpful in fixing it.

Stayed here 3 nights. Clean, comfortable, and kudos to the housekeeping & breakfast staff! So nice and accommodating! Front desk staff was great as well! The location is excellent - central to all in B-N. I am originally from B-N, so I can attest to the location.

I thought the water pressure was a little weak in the shower.
I dont like the A/C. I wish I could let it run, full blast, all the time as opposed to it cycling on and off. I know you can run the fan constantly but then in the middle of the night, the room will be warm.
I picture quality on the TV is ok, not the best.
I like that they put the news paper under your door in the morning.
The work out area is ok. One treadmill is fine but the other is jumpy and could really injure someone.
Overall, a nice stay with a few suggestions.

We use this hotel often for work stays and classes. It is in a good location just off Veteran's Parkway with easy access to I-55. The staff is always helpful and friendly and the location looks great after remodel.

During our stay, the whirlpool heat was broken. When my husband went to the front desk to inquire about it, the staff said that it was fine. The whirl pool was colder than the swimming pool which was cloudy and murky at best. He asked to be contacted by a manager with in the hour and received no response even though we were there for another 24 hrs. We were never contacted by phone or email either. We stay at Holiday Inns for the Priority Club bonus points and just found out that our 2 night stay didn't qualify. We are done with Priority Club and Holiday Inn.

We met family for the Easter holiday. The hotel could not have been cleaner if they tried-I even saw the General Manger Cleaning the front area-it was beautiful. The food was great and the staff could not be kinder-The desk Manager, Bart was so nice to our group and the Manager who was cleaning, Tony, was really really nice too. Thanks for making our Holiday great!

I stay in this hotel often and rarely have an issue. The staff is friendly and the property is in good shape. The hotel is in a great location on the main commercial drive (Veterans Parkway).

Got there a bit early, but we were accommodated. Pool and hot tub both just right. Spoke with a member of housekeeping; she was friendly and had been employed there for several years. The young man at the front desk gave accurate directions. We had to leave quickly and early in the morning; that process was flawless. Good place to stay.

We stayed this past Friday night - asked when I called if they had whirlpool/pool area. We came in later, just wanted to wind down relax and get a good nights sleep, little did we know the hotel was full up with children, unruly running screaming jumping children. Could not use the pool/spa area - halls were filled with screaming running children. Complained to desk, he did upgrade our room - we had to pack up our stuff and move - after the move it was better. However still had the noise issue. The pool area was a bit better in the morning but no towels in that area had to go take some from workout room. Breakfast, had to go across to panera, there was no hot food out everytime we went in there. Once again, large group of children/parents there for weekend. I assume on a weekend without the children convention going on it is a very nice place. Ask when you book, if hotel is booked with any large children events, pool area is small, too many kids will ruin the stay.

Love staying in your suites! quiet and comfortable; I stay away from home for long periods of time and your suites are much better than regular rooms! A couple of areas for improvement: fix the running toilet and seal the heater/air conditioner into the wall better in 213.

I was disappointed in this hotel. The room rate was crazy high. 2 bills with tax. The bathroom had primer on the walls and grout missing from tiles.
The fridge in he room rattled so loud I had to unplug it to sleep.
I expect much more for that high of a rate

We stayed one night for the IHSA cheerleading state cometition. We never heard a peep out side our room, which is very suprising cosidering the hotel was full of cheerleaders!
The bed was very comfortable!!
The breakfast spread was more than you could ask for.
The people at the desk were very helpful and friendly. The only thing I could complain about was I feel the price was far higher than the surrounding hotels.
