Overall a good experience. the only down side I could mention is the bed was a little hard for my liking and therefore I didn't sleep that well. My colleagues commented on the same thing. The positives were the staff were amazing and attentive, very friendly and helpful. The made suggestions for dinner and even went as far as to call ahead to see if we needed reservations without prompting. The hotel looked new and the condition of the room was immaculate, a rare find these days. The entire stay was a pleasure marred only by the lack of a slightly softer mattress - may be my personal issue but overall I was still impressed with my stay and found it very good value for money. The free WiFi was a nice touch and the free breakfast was yummy! June 14, 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Very comfortable hotel Our stay was very good. We stayed two nights and had a wonderful time. Our room was clean, bright and very comfortable. The bathroom was a good size and I really appreciated the fact that the shower head had enough pressure to get the shampoo out of your hair. The other feature I really appreciated was that you are able to control the temperature of your room. Too many times in hotels this is not possible and the rooms are too hot and stuffy. Not at this hotel. Thank you. The beds were very comfortable and in the two queen room each bed had four very comfortable and nice sized pillows. The only disappointment was on our second morning the tea biscuits and other baked goods were over cooked and dried out. But I must point out that this was not the case on the first morning. I am a frequent guest a Holiday Inns and was disappointed with the comfort of the bed and had very little success with the internet. I was just in Sudbury and enjoyed the room and had no issues with connecting to the internet.not sure why North Bay was different? April 13, 2014

Staff will address concerns promptly and efficiently. The breakfast variety and WiFi quality are acceptable but can be improved. April 8, 2014

Staff recommended dining options and were available. Breakfast was normal fare, but staff member was friendly and dining room was spotless. Was a short, but very nice stay. January 23, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Enjoyable stay My brother and I enjoyed our extended stay ( December 27th to January 4th) when we were visiting our Dad who was in the hospital. The staff was quite helpful. We benefited from the 10th Annual gift coupons from the hospital/hotel partnership and it was quite appreciated. The breakfasts were very good; the room great and the cleaning staff did a good job as well. I will stay there again. IHG member. January 7, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Spacious room and great breakfast I stayed in a suite with 2 bed and a pullout which was nice and clean. The Breakfast served met all the varied appetites that we had. Nice and plentiful. The pool however was a bit on the chilly side and there isn't a hot tub to warm up in. Other than that it was a great experience. January 5, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Swimming Pool and Breakfast Overall, an excellent standard hotel room. No disappointment there. The pool was simply too cool to swim in. We never got in past our kneecaps. The breakfast offerings were slightly better than average BUT there was no place to sit - really. We ended up eating in a Boardroom that we asked be opened up for us. Towards the end of the shift, supplies in several dishes had run out. More preparation for the increased number of rooms please. January 2, 2014

We were assured when we booked our rooms that families who were staying at the hotel for a local hockey tournament would not be assigned to our floor yet we were awakened by kids running the halls at 10:00 PM? My daughter's four month old baby was awakened as a result. December 11, 2013
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by The good and the bad The front desk staff were great. Check in and check out was quick and easy. The hotel itself was clean and I enjoyed my stay with one exception. The breakfast person was not friendly at all. She was very snappy and rude. Although the breakfast went until 10:00am, she had locked up the fridge and cleared most of the area prior to 10:00am. I have stayed at many hotels as I travel a lot for work and for leisure. I have never seen such bad manners at a breakfast. When I have seen places close at 10:00am up until that time the breakfast items are all available. When I arrived at 9:40, there was no more eggs or meat, when I inquired, I received a snappy response of "Breakfast is done at 10:00". This would be enough for me not to return. December 10, 2013

The hotel is new, nicely appointed and conveniently located right off the main highway. The Hotel is clean and my room is very comfortable and quiet. The complementary breakfast is very convenient and enjoyable and the free WI-FI is appreciated. I recommend staying at this hotel when in North Bay. November 25, 2013

I was very thankful that they looked after all my requests regarding my allergies. The bed room was very comfortable and clean. Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Holiday Inn and a Hockey Tournament! We booked on line at this Holiday Inn. It was the end of a long busy week at work. When we arrived we realized we were part of the minority of non-hockey tournament guests. Don't get me wrong I have kids and as teams we have been in hotels. However I wish that when booking someone/somehow I could be alerted that there was a large tournament group on site because I would choose another location. OR perhaps have at least one floor that is for non-tournament guests. We put up with noise, shouting, running (adults and kids --- often with the adults encouraging the activities) for hours. Rooms were overflowing with guests and the alcohol abounded in the rooms and in the hallways. The next morning we went down for breakfast and well ---- we didn't have breakfast nor could we get a seat ---- entire teams had taken over November 17, 2013

The staff were pleasant and efficient and made me feel very welcome. They were very helpful in making my stay very comfortable. I found out later on in the day, that I was grounded by bad weather and my flight cancelled. I was able to call the hotel back, and book another room for the night. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Clean room, horrible breakfast and breakfast area The rooms were large and clean. The bathroom was a really nice large size. Shower nice. We visited on the Thanksgiving weekend, the hotel was packed. Clearly not enough staff for the breakfast on Sunday. The one young girl who was there did not refill forks, eggs, biscuits or pancake maker. Cereal was everywhere. Garbage cans filled to overflowing. Guests were standing while eating as there were no more tables or chairs. I fault management for understaffing. This problem is ongoing as I saw a review for this same problem from August. Also, just a note. Having the hotel laundry room curtains wide open just to the left of the main entrance just isn't good optics. Once again this is management. October 17, 2013
