Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Think about twice Stayed in room on 5th floor,air conditioner was not working properly, left ac running on high the entire time I was there, called service desk ,was told to wait 5 minutes, didn't bother them again..same problem with the wireless internet, not working at all for entire stay on my ipad or galaxy tablet was told to talk to their techs, at check out was told they where upgrading machine never had ice on the 5 th floor.....breakfast was cold, except the coffee......stayed there for the wireless,breakfast and parking....very dissapointed with the stay at this hotel....I will shop around to other hotels July 13, 2014
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Comfortable bed The bed was great but nothing much more than that. The hotel had a funny smell to it. Our bathroom had a constant smell of urine. You could see dried urine on the toilet where it meets tha floor. Don't think that part was cleaned. Staff was very hard to understand due to accents. Breakfast was just okay. Shuttle ran late all of the tme. Location wasn't the greatest. Nothing much around. Convenient expressway access. Won't stay again. July 13, 2014

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Unprofessional front desk We were here for 3 nights for family vacation to NYC. The location is convinient. Parking shuttle to NYC is probably the only good thing, although it generally runs late ! Normally, Elite members are recognized very well at IHG facilities. This is an exception. They don't care. A guy chewing gum or tobacco checked us in and told us our room was upgraded. I have no clue, what the upgrade was. No complimentary basket, no water bottle nothing for Platinum Elite status. Then we find the shower broken in Upgraded room next morning. The lever operating shower was kept next to it. How come they overlook this. Obviously, maintenance is not available when needed. Fortunately, it got fixed while we were out the next day. Next day, Internet drops out. So I call front desk. The phone rings forever. I call after some time again. This time, a guy picked it up and left on table for 5 min. I could hear everything from lobby. Eventually phone hangs up. Then I call again. The guys picks up. When I questioned the behaviour, I am questioned who I am and he doesn't even know me and hangs up. I WAS CALLING FROM ROOM in the same hotel. I call again and the same guy arrogantly tells me to come to front desk if I need help and hangs up. After that, I called at least 10 times if not more. Everytime, when he realized where call was coming from, he hung up. HORRIBLE HORRIBLE experience. Next day morning, I find out the guy's name is MIGUEL. I can't believe this kind of employee has been working at IHG group hotel. Totally Unthinkable. July 11, 2014
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Family of 4 Close to NYC, which is what we wanted, without NYC prices. Hotel could use a bit of sprucing up. Fitness center wasn't what they claimed. Parking lot is tight, and can be a bit challenging when cars are parked haphazardly around. July 9, 2014

Independent contractor for shuttle was pricey the hotel does not have its own shuttle. Public transportation not continent on the weekend. July 8, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Spacious room and good breakfast Spent three nights at this facility during my first visit to the NYC with my family. The hotel staff was helpful. The room was spacious and breakfast was very satisfying. Enjoyed the free parking and convenience to Manhattan. Third party hotel shuttle service is disorganzied, but ultimately got us where we wanted to go. I would recommend this hotel if you have a car and want to avoid driving into the hustle and bustle of Manhattan. July 7, 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Choice! I had never been on a family vacation to New York ... So I began to look for a hotel close by and in choosing this hotel it was a great choice! We were very pleased with the location, bus shuttle to downtown New York and everything about the hotel. Would recommend it to others ... you will enjoy your stay here! Also, there was an employee in the breakfast area named Mila that by her work and service with a smile each morning got the day started off great! Our family enjoyed our stay. July 1, 2014
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Service Good, Location Terrible The front desk gentleman was friendly, and the rooms were comfortable (however could use a face lift as some of the furniture pieces were in disrepair and held together with tape. The hotel however is in a terrible location, seems to be a seedy area, it does have easy access to Lincoln Tunnel if you are comfortable driving to and from NYC with your own car, (and finding parking over there is not easy either) however if not, the shuttle bus that the hotel uses, does not make early morning trips before 8am. Without early morning service, you will be stuck paying for a taxi, walking up very steep hills/roads to catch other public transit, or as we ended up driving our car to a PATH location to catch a train to and from NYC at the cost of $30.00 per day parking plus train costs. Next time I would either pay the additional money to stay in NYC or find a hotel closer to the PATH stations in New Jersey--on a side note the Hobokan area near the water was a great area to hang out, with fantastic views of NYC June 30, 2014

The shuttle from the hotel was a plus as we parked our car and took the shuttle into NY each day then took the subway or walked. Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Not for the clostrophobic Gum chewing clerk welcomed us in. Elevator barely held the luggage cart. Extremely low ceilings; not for anyone over 6'2". The advertised shuttle into the city only comes every 1.5 hours or so and was $12 round trip. Or you could walk a block away to shuttles that run constantly for $6 (not that the hotel will tell you). Hallway was very hot. Breakfast was good. Very dangerous to pull out the back driveway due to extreme angle and closeness to the busy street. June 29, 2014

There was shuttle service from the hotel to the city different times of the day (for a price) we did use this service both days we were there and it took alot of pressure off of us, we didn't have to worry about driving around the city or which bus to take etc. We were not at the hotel much just to eat breakfast and sleep. we enjoyed our time and feel like we did not bust our budget by staying at the North Bergen HI Express. It was good and the staff was attentive, except for a lady that serves breakfast who is a little bit harsh with people. On the other hand the rooms are clean and the check in and out is really fast and efficient, but something needs to be done about the smell, maybe due to the carpets. The internet was not so good either. Overall, it met my expectations... June 29, 2014

Used hotel for a quick 2 day visit to NY City and was glad we didn't have to drive into the city! Used both public transportation and hotel recommended shuttle service. Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Multiple Issues, will not return. I wouldn't return to this property for the following reasons: 1. For 2 of the 4 days, water suddenly stopped while I was in the middle of shower. On one of these days it took me more than an hour and two calls to front desk to somehow complete shower. 2. Internet was so slow during late evening hours, it almost didn't exist. I had to use my personal hot spot. 3. TV would lose signal every few minutes. Do not expect to enjoy your favorite TV show or movie. 4. Housekeeping was substandard. 5. Quality and variety of breakfast items was very disappointing. June 23, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Easy to travel to/from NYC We had no major issues with our stay; room was clean, staff were nice. Convenient hotel for visiting NYC if you want to save a few bucks. We chose not to utilize the shuttle service, because of unpredictability and lack of regular times, and instead looked up the local train service which was very convenient. 7 minute drive to the Secaucus train station, 4.00 a person brought us right into Penn Station. The train ride was 7-8 minutes with no stopping. Very easy to use! We highly recommend it! Great stay, and a great weekend! June 23, 2014
