Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Service, good value Awesome staff!!! Brianna and the others were very good at their jobs! Hotel managed and maintained very well. Was a little concerned about area at first as it is just next door to a factory. Boy was I wrong! Good location, close to everything, good area. Unless you count the typical hotel continental breakfast, I can't think of one single thing I would want different. My new haven for everytime I'm in that part of the country! November 18, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent Staff, well managed property As an extreme frequent traveler, I have learned to keep my standards pretty low to minimize disappointment. However, at this hotel it wasn't neccessary. I have had issues in the past with IHG brands and have come to realize that the individual properties have much more extreme differences than one would think. IE: this was one of the best hotels I've stayed at all around. The Holiday Inn I stayed at in Port Washington, WI a few days later was one of the worst. Don't remember their names but the entire staff here was awesome-especially Brianna! Perhaps you could send staff from some of the other Holiday Inns to be trained by this group. Now I make it a point to stay at this hotel and recommend it highly!!! November 18, 2013

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good stay Over all the stay at this hotel was good. The first room I stayed in the toilet seat was loose and TV did not work because of broken cable. The front desk moved me to another room right away. This room also had a loose toilet seat and the AC would not run all the time. Both of these rooms were the larger suits. After staying in that room for two days they moved me to a stander room which was nice and clean and in working condition. October 31, 2013

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by nice room for a night Tne front desk lady was super nice. When I inquired about a military rate.....no problem. I needed a cab, she gave me a card to a local cab guy. The room was comfortable, breakfast wasn't too great, but oh well. I need a place for the night. I will stay here again if I need too. October 1, 2013

I found this hotel to be very close to the customer that I needed to vist, it was also very comfortable and quiet, both are needed for a good night's sleep. Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Average service and facilities Had the opportunity to recently visit another Holiday Inn Express in the San Diego area for a few day which was comparably much better. Although the beds were good, the fact they did not offer Queen size as a standard was dis- heartening. The ability to spread out a bit more (like at home) was expected. Otherwise the property was just average. I would consider staying again, but would look closer at other options first. July 28, 2013
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by bed was teribble WE HAVE STAYED AT MANY HIEXPRESSES AND THIS ONE WAS THE PITTS AS FAR AS THE BED. WE HAD A KING BED AND IT LOOKED LIKE IT WAS VERY OLD. WHEN WE WENT TO BED IT WAS LIKE SLEEPING ON ROCKS, VERY LUMPY AND YOU ROLLED TO THE CENTER. IT WAS PLANE WORE OUT. WE DID'NT SLEEP NO 2 HRS ALL NIGHT. THE STAFF AND THE BREAKFAST WAS VERY GOOD. IF YOU WANT A GOOD NIGHTS REST DO NOT GET THE KING BED. I WANTED TO ( BUT DID NOT ) ASK FOR MONEY BACK BECAUSE I FELT WORSE AFTER THE PART NIGHT SLEEP THAN I DID WHEN WE ARRIVED THERE. HAD TO DRIVE ANOTHER 6 1/2 HRS THE NEXT DAY WITH VERY LITTLE SLEEP. MOST HI EXPRESSES ARE VERY GOOD. 99% OF TIMES WE GO AWAY WE STAY AT HI-EXPRESS THAT IS WHY WE WERE DISAPOINTED THIS TIME. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Holiday Inn Express North kansas City, Mo I have stayed at this particular hotel for the last 3 or 4 years and feel it is time to give credit where credit is due. the staff at this hotel are Great people to deal with, friendly and helpful, with regards to directions and available services. Not just to me but i overhear the same professional and pleasant conversations that i get as i am in the lobby or the resturant part of the hotel. again i would not consider staying anywhere else each month as i am in the Kansas City area. they show me they appreciate my buisness and i appreciate their dedication to sevice. i alsways recommend this particular hotel to any other parts of management traveling to the Kansas City area as well. thanks again for the great service and attitude i am afforded while away from home. Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Not up to Holiday Inn Express Standards I am very picky about hotels, if I think about them too much they disgust me. But I am also on a budget. I always look for a Holiday Inn Express when I need a hotel because they are normally very clean and affordable. This one however made me want to cry. 1st of all it was in the middle of what looked like a warehouse / industrial district which was not a very inviting place to stay. However if the interior would have been nice I could have overlooked that. The lobby and rooms were terrible. It was obvious that they tried to give an old hotel an update....and they failed miserably. The halls were small, the rooms smelled, and it was just overall uninviting. The paint looked fresh and the carpets maybe too and it even seemed like they tried to update some of the counter tops with the standard Holiday Inn decor. But it just didn't work. We needed to stop and rest half way through a long road trip and this was not the place to do it. The staff was very friendly and helpful but I would not ever stay here again or recommend it to anyone. This was the 1st and last time I will ever book a hotel without reading the reviews - even a Holiday Inn. Should have paid more and stayed somewhere else!! April 1, 2013

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by no microwave in room Family went to watch the Robitics competition at the Kemper arena. Room was hot and had to move to another room at midnight. Was reported in amenities that it had a microve in room and it didn't have one. When you use your points to stay things are done differently seems like. Bathrooms were to small. March 23, 2013

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Swimming with Kids The saltwater pool was not right! The chemical balance was off, 2 of the children out of 3 got into the swimming pool and had a horrible reaction to the salt water. They broke out in hives, my sons eyes swelled shut! These children were not related, and they both experienced the same symptoms. There were other guests who got into the pool then quickly got out because it was "burning" their eyes! The young gentleman at the front desk didn't even know who or where to order a pizza from, that would deliver. He was NO help. We didn't even mention the pool issue to him, he was clueless! How could he fix the pool, when he couldn't even handle a pizza delivery! After much research on my own, this reaction with salt water pools happens often, when the filtration system isn't properly maintained. The bromine level is more than likely what was off. Other than the swimming pool experience was awful, the breakfast was good and room was cleaned. But we stayed here only so the kids could swim! Not a great place for that! March 4, 2013
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Friendly staff ~ Stained bed After checking in and going to our room, we noticed that we only had 1 king bed and not 2 queen beds as requested. I went back downstairs and asked if there was a mix up and I was informed that we were upgraded to the suite and that was all that they had, I was informed the couch folded out, so we would have 2 beds. Upon folding the couch out there was a large nasty stain on it. There was no way I was going to let my daughter sleep on that let alone myself. So the 3 of us slept in the king bed together. When we went down for breakfast I told the lady at the front desk about our problem and she said she would have someone come in and clean it while we were out. When we left, I informed her that we would be gone for the day. Upon arriving back very late, we were pretty sure they had not done anything to the couch as the pillows were not moved and our suspensions were confirmed when we pulled it out, nothing was done and no one even mentioned it to us or offered us another alternative. Once again, all 3 of us slept in the king bed. The rest of the room was very clean and the staff was very nice. Room was noisy, walls are pretty thin and our room was right by the steps. Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Front Desk Staff When checking in, I was provided with a room and key. Upon arrival to the room, I found it had not been cleaned yet and was still in disaray. I returned to the front desk from the 3rd floor, and was given another room after a slight delay. Later than evening, someone was trying to enter my room as they were given the keys. About an hour later (after 10:00 p.m.), after I had already gone to sleep as i had to get up for meetings at 0400 in the morning, the front desk called my room to ask "Who are you - what is your name?" They didn't change my room number, which caused my rest to be interrupted twice. I stay at this hotel some 25-30 nights a year due to business, and it is convenient to my place of business, but I always seem to have some sort of issues with the staff -- not very professional. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by What is the purpose of the do not disturb sign?? I thought this sign meant "do not disturb".. Instead, the housekeeping came in the room anyways and grabbed the dirty towels, and did not put clean ones in their place. I had stepped out to get some supplies, meanwhile, my laptop, Ipod,GPS and other expensive posessions sat out in the open. This I feel is unacceptable, because most housekeeping staff, while cleaning, leave the guest room doors propped WIDE OPEN. Anyone could walk in, grab what they want, and leave. When in KC next time, I will stay elsewhere. February 1, 2013
