Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Cleanliness Understanding the property is dated and in need of a facelift, we thought the hotel below the standards set by HIE. However, being dated isn't an excuse for dirt. The bathroom counter was so dirty we had to clean it before we could use it. The room hadn't been vacuumed in some time, and the tables in the bedroom were covered with glass/cup stains. Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Hotel needs cleaned and renovated. I was surprised that this facility was so dirty and poorly maintained. I usually like Holiday Inn Hotels. There was construction by the hotel which may have added to the dirt, but that is no excuse. I was going to stay additional nights but checked out and went to another hotel. The staff at the desk was friendly. I never saw a cleaning staff member during my stay. August 22, 2015

I have stayed at Holiday Inn Express properties across the country and this was the least comfortable, least clean, least friendly, least accommodating and worst value of any that I can think of. Made a reservation in the morning and were told that we'd gotten the "last room" (hence the high rate). When we were checking in... nine or so hours later, another couple heard the same story... Coincidence, perhaps but it felt like an attempt to justify a high rate. Desk attendant was not welcoming... room dirty (and loud... I'm smart enough to know that that's not easily controlled). Morning desk attendant was nice but by then it was too late to change my perceptions. August 18, 2015
