All Holiday Inn Express stays are great. I especially liked the helpful staff, 24 hour workout room and clean rooms.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Disappointed1960 Worn out carpets, expensive
I originally made plans to stay in town for 2 days and decided to stay here as their major competitor was full. Upon arriving after a simple check in, I noticed the carpets in the hallway to my room were stained and well worn. In my room the rugs were just as bad, snagged and looked dirty. I debated about asking for a different room but I was tired and thought, "oh well, maybe tomorrow". About mid-day the next day I received a call about a death in my family and I tried to wrap up business before checking out. By the time I arrived at the hotel, it was 2:55pm.and I explained I had to check out early. I saw from the receipt that I was billed for 2 nights instead of one. I was bluntly told by the young man with a bowl haircut that "that's our policy" as he turned and walked away from me. No courtesy at all for a Priority Club member. As a sales manager for a Fortune 500 company with over 35,000 employees, I travel a lot and so do our people. But I will NOT ever stay at this hotel again and I will do everything possible to ensure that non of our other employees do either. Housekeeping had already cleaned the room when I went to pickup my suitcase so they had nothing invested there. I'm sure they sold the room that night, so in essence, they got paid twice for that room! This place is a dive and I would try to avoid it if I were you

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by nobatesmotels Great amenities and b-fast!
A very large comfortable 2 king bed room with large flat screen. The toiletries were of a very nice caliber and the hot b-fast was the best of the 4 hotels used on this trip.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by BillofOhio as expected quality room and staff
My wife an I both appreciate the clean rooms and personal assistance of the desk staff and morning breakfast crew. One thing I haven't been able to feel the benefit from is the priority club. My first impression was after renting 9 nights we would receive a free room. Every time I inquire about points earned " just a few thousand more" should do it! We hesitate to ask any more.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Huskermom Great Customer Service
Whenever I'm in North Platte visiting family, I always stay at this Holiday Inn. I love that they have a Kid's Suite (they love it too) and the staff is ALWAYS so friendly, I've experienced & seen the staff go above and beyond for guests. I've stayed in other hotels in the area but this is by far my favorite.

We stay at this property whenever we go to western Nebraska. They have great food and the suites are roomy enough for large folks and for children to play.

Nice Place, but be prepared to pay the high rates.
I'm sorry but I will either stay in Lexington or Ogallala next business drive thru Nebraska.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by RoadWarrior235 Great Staff, but inconsistent facilities
First, the staff here was incredibly friendly and helpful - that being said, the door lock on our room couldn't be made to work, and we had to be let in by a manager with a manager key. Also, the guy who came to fix it in the morning entered our room without knocking - while my wife was getting dressed. My only other complaint is that the beds were very institutional and not comfortable - hard and lumpy. Still, the facilities are clean and well maintained, the breakfast was very good for what it is, and the staff tried hard and was friendly.

Our room was very clean and front desk recommended Canteen Bar & Grill. Was one of the best prime rib I've had and the hotel gets 10% off the bill. Good breakfast, great rolls and biscuits & gravy. Thanks for making our stay so enjoyable.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Henn Kids' Suite highlight of our son's trip.
We were very pleased with the Kids' Suite for our 10 year old son. He spent the evening with the Play Station and said it was his favorite hotel of our vacation. Our adult daughter took the bottom bunk and said the mattress was not great, but just fine for kids. Our king bed was very comfortable. Really liked the snacks when we arrived for being Priority Club members. Enjoyed the milk and cookies in the evening. Breakfast room was very spacious and very well laid out. A wide variety of breakfast choices were offered. We did have a slight glitch at check in when we were assigned to a room already occupied, but the front desk quickly reassigned us to another room. Also, spent quite a bit of time waiting for the single elevator in the 4 story hotel. Not adequate for a hotel this size. Overall we were pleased with our stay, and especially if traveling with our son, we will stay again!

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by maryel2013 Lovely room and comfortable too!!
I am one picky person when it comes to a clean, comfortable hotel room. This property was lovely! Well kept and clean! Had a nice stay with only one issue: THE POOL!!! I always stay somewhere that has a pool as I need to do therapeutic exersizes in water after travelling by car. I was all ready to swim the evening I stayed and choose to go back to my room as the pool was terribly full and loud!! I asked a couple of times for the adults with children if they could be a bit quieter and was ignored. I'm not an old fuddy duddy, but the noise was piercing, even for MY kids!!.

We stayed one night passing through to CO.
The room was clean, quiet & very comfy with 2 King-size beds. Our two children loved all the room.
The breakfast buffet had so many fresh items, the hot cinnamon rolls were exceptional.
The breakfast staff and front desk staff were so accommodating & super friendly.
Will definitely stay here again.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by DaddyOf3 Good but not great
We stay at Holiday Inn locations almost exclusively. We like the breakfast and cleanliness of them. The breakfast is standard at every location so the variety is good, yet repetitive. The pool was cold so no adults swam and the kids didn't want to spend much time in the water before shivering. In the morning around 9:00am a staff person keyed into our room while we were still there getting kids ready for the day which caught us off guard. My wife didn't care for that. As for the price, this location is more expensive then other Holiday Inn locations. It cost us a lot more priority club points and cash for the same level of service we receive else where a lot cheaper. The problem with North Platte is that the options are pretty limited which is why they get ya on the price. At check-in we were suppose to receive bottles of water and a snack and it wasn't offered. We had to go back and ask for it. The manager reception with milk and cookies was an elevator ride not work taking. Between old ladies and teenagers, there were never any cookies to be had. The lesson here is don't tell your kids they are going to get a cookie on the way down because they will be disappointed upon arrival. Would I try a different hotel? Yes. Would I try a different hotel in North Platte? Probably not, selection is limited. Priority club membership was not recognized. They did let us check-in a couple hours early which was great after a long car ride.

The most import thing for me is a clean hotel room. I don't care as much about the rest. I really doubt that the bed sheets were changed after the previous guest. Also, the sheets were flipped inside out ( coincidence?) Thanks to Steve(very kind and nice man), the lobby man , relocated us to another room, that was a bit better, we

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Bobx0201 Worst Holiday Inn Express stayed at
The condition and atmosphere of this facility did not represent the excellence that we've accustomed to at Holliday Inn Express motels. The rudeness of the front desk person was just the start. The physical condition of the facility was worn, the rugs in the hallways crumpled. This Holliday Inn Express had at least 150 to 160 rooms consisting of two 4 story towers. The breakfast facility was hopelessly small to adequately accommodate the roughly 300-400 guests clamoring for their morning fare. The lines for pancakes and toasters was 10 to 15 minutes long. Seeing that we headed for McDonalds to avoid the delay.

We usually stay @ HIE hotels, but this is not one of the nicer ones. We did not like the idea that you are able to bring pets into the hotel. Our friends stayed next to 2 dogs and they were annoying. Certain areas of the hotel smelled of smoke from smoking in the rooms(which I know is not allowed) I think all n all it's an older hotel that needs upgrading. My parents stay at the Hampton Inn in N. Platte when they pass through, and we will try that as well next time. Otherwise, I'm usually pleased with HIE

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by thebighorn Everything you need
I've stayed at this hotel a number of times now and I'm always impressed with the service I get. Everything is in great shape and they have tons of parking for long vehicles with trailers (like me). Property is right off the freeway and right next to gas stations so it has all you need for one convenient stop.

I have family in Nebraska and visit North Platte every few months. Holiday Inn Express is my go-to hotel because of the staff. They are always helpful, accommodating and friendly. Very customer oriented (which we don't always find nowadays). I will be back.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by travelfamily8877 Disappointing stay
Chose this hotel because of location, past experience with Holiday Inn Express, and number of beds in the room. Called ahead to verify bedding arrangements for the kids suite, room did not end up having the beds that I was told it would, staff brought an extra roll away after an hour (11pm), linens on it were soiled so we had to go track down new ones, price on the website did not match what was sent in the confirmation email or what was charged. Not worth what we paid. We did get a pet free room, as requested. Breakfast was decent and the room was large enough to accommodate a busy weekend crowd. Pool temperature was cool, but kids enjoyed it. No recognition as IHG Member. Will choose another hotel next time.

Left Albuquerque to travel home and was getting late. Called IHG number on member card and got excellent help reserving a room in North Platte Holiday Inn. When arrived the front desk acknowledged my membership and gave us a room upgrade. This place has a 24 hour pool which was great as we wanted to swim but didn't think we would be able to since it was 11:00PM. Nice surprise to be able to sit in hot tub and relax. Room was clean and employees were very helpful.

The Manager's social time with libations and snacks is a welcome surprise after a road trip. Breakfast had a few extras that separate HI Express from other places. All of the staff members made us feel welcome and recommended a great restaurant in North Platte.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by quiltlady Motel is good, gas station is bad
Holiday Inn is not my first choice for a motel but it was what was available in this town. This motel was good, comfortable, and quiet. We left before breakfast so can't comment on that.
The only bad part of this stay happened when we left the motel and went to gas up our car at the gas station in front of the motel. The sign said the mid-grade gas was $3 something but when we pulled into the pumps, they showed over $4 for all choices.
Turned out that they had ONE pump for the cheaper mid-grade only and the other dozen or more pumps had all 3 grades of fuel ... and all 50 cents a gallon higher. Filled up on the ?cheaper" mid-grade ... and was down 10% on my gas mileage until my next fill up with real gas.
The motel was good, the gas station was bad.
