Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Quiet and clean This hotel is located right next to the M1 but you would not know it. It is quiet and comfortable and tucked out of the way. The staff are welcoming, extremely helpful and smiley. The only downsides noticed were: The rooms are set up as hotel offices with a desk and chair but no coffee table for the more tourist user. The bathroom was a fraction smaller than would be comfortble.. so too easy to bang into the sink/door/shower wall when towelling off. Clever double use of bnathroom door though ! The pillows were getting a little lumpy, unusual for HI as their pillows are a bit of a trademark. Eating (no choice in the evening) means a walk or a drive and not a whole lot of choice without some distance. Well recommended, despite the above.. July 28, 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Good experience, as expected from Holiday Inn Express I stay here from time to time to visit family and friends who live nearby. The experience is entirely predictable which is what I need in this situation. Experimentation is for Gili Island trips not for Northampton,.The rooms are reasonably priced, large (by modern hotel standards), well equipped and very comfortable. The staff are invariably very helpful and friendly from the front desk to the cleaning team. The free wifi is a bonus and the inclusive breakfast is more than adequate. Put together it is a very good experience and comparable if not better than many other hotels which charge 100 pounds or more. It is a stop-over hotel, not somewhere to spend long amounts of time. For what it provides and the need it fills,, it does it very well indeed. July 22, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Holiday Inn Express Northampton M1 Good Points: *The staff were friendly and helpful. *The room was well decorated, clean and tidy. *Air conditioning meant my stay was comfortable in summer. *I slept well and found the bed comfortable. *Great attention to detail, soap/shampoo dispensers and supplies available if you forget something. *Free breakfast. *Free, fast, wireless internet. *Freeview TV with wide range of channels so it's easy to relax in the evening if you feel like staying in your room, *Free parking and plenty of spaces. Bad Points: *Shower curtain not effective at keeping water in the shower cubicle. *Low quality sausages at breakfast, but can't complain as it's free. July 16, 2014

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Really good Just got back from a course in northampton. The holiday inn was good and very clean. Staff great. Kyle and Charlotte went the extra mile to make the customers happy especially when my key would not work a few times. They also helped out one of the girls that was on our course who could not get back to her hotel because of road closures they drove all the way to her hotel and let her follow which I think is really kind of them.
