We had a wheelchair accessible room with roll in shower at this brand new hotel. First issue was that the bed was about 3 and a half feet tall which made it nearly impossible for my daughter to transfer from her wheelchair to the bed. Only because she can walk a few steps and that we brought a step with us were we able to stay.The manager was very apologetic and was trying his best to accommodate her needs, however all of the accessible rooms have these high beds. He could move us to a higher floor (where if there was a fire my daughter would be stuck until the fire dept got there).Stop building accessible rooms on any floor but the ground floor.
The next morning I went to take a shower in the roll-in shower and the whole bathroom, hallway, closet area, and part of the living quarters of the room got flooded with a 10 minute shower!!!! Very little of the water actually went down the drain as it seemed the drain and pitch weren't configured correctly. We were left to mop it up ourselves even after we brought the manager in to see the flood! The shower head wasn't installed correctly and was only partially screwed into the wall.
The finishes in the room looked like they hired a group of school children to paint,caulk,etc. The sink,shower, counter tops all had what looked like dirty hand marks or muddy marks but that is how it was finished(doesn't wash off).The curtains, pictures, carpet, window sills all had paint,cement,or other materials splashed on them. Really??? Why install nice floors and finishes if you don't care how they are installed? It looked like you had a group of kids who didn't know what they were doing do this hotel.
So very disappointed in IHG! We were going to come back to this hotel this fall when we are in the area. I would rather take my chances with one of the new motels next door to this one. They gave us half our money back.....really? We are Gold members not that that should matter. You shouldn't charge anyone to stay in this room! I would be embarrassed to even show this room to a customer let alone book anyone in this room. And PS....the rest of the hotel looked to have similar issues. When we asked if anyone checked this room when before they opened in June the answer was yes the owner did. How can you overlook such shoddy work that hits you in the face in every corner of this room and in several area of the hotel????

TO MY WIFE AND I, IT WAS AS IF THIS NEW HOTEL HAD OPENED BEFORE IT WAS REALLY READY.
WE NOTICED BASEBOARDS THAT HAD NOT BEEN MADE READY SINCE CONSTRUCTION WAS COMPLETED. THERE WAS NOTICEABLE GROUT ON THE BATHROOM TUB, AND ON THE FLOOR OF THE BATHROOM. MODERNIZATION IN STYLE MAY HAVE BEEN OVERDONE. REALLY MISSED MY DESK. THERE WAS STLL CONSTRUCTION DUST VISIBLE IN BOTH THE ROOM AND THE HALLWAYS.
THE SPACE BETWEEN THE WALL AND THE SINGLE ELEVATOR WAS MUCH TOO NARROW, AND IF YOU ARE USING THE VALET TO MOVE YOUR THINGS, GOOD LUCK IN GETTING THE CART ONTO THE ELEVATOR.
WE ARE CONSIDERING USING THE HOTEL NEXT DOOR NEXT VISIT, HOPING YOU WILL GET THE KINKS WORKED OUT,

Clean comfortable rooms. Very new and modern. Especially liked the breakfast room. Everyone was very friendly and courteous.
