As an IHG Priority Club Member I was asked to sign the register on arrival to speed up the booking in process. This booking in procedure also requires your vehicle registration, if applicable.
Unfortunately and despite recording my vehicle registration, I have now received a parking ticket for £100 as it appears that this part of the booking in process was not actioned by the reception staff.
What is the point of offering a service if you don't actually follow it up?

Unfortunately this is the poorest Holiday Inn Express I have visited. Room was not very clean with stained sofa bed and dirty carpets. The shower pole holding the head was broken meaning it leant at an odd angle to one side and swayed about once the shower was running. The toilet seat was stained A tall light shade in the room was merely taped with masking tape where it was damaged. Sleeping was difficult with the noise from vents directly outside the window coupled with a faulty ceiling speaker intermittently giving out a strange noise. I realise this may be personal preference but the bed was extremely soft and springy, as if it was well past its replacement date. There were only two of the very small uht milk capsules, not really enough for two adults staying. The breakfast choice wasn't bad but the quality of the food was awful. The staff were pleasant but check in as an IHG member was far from smooth. To the hotels credit they did contact me after I completed a feedback form onsite and offer a complimentary nights stay, however living seven hours away it is unlikely even this offer would make me want to return. Extremely disappointing stay from a chain that normally has no complaints from me.

Would have liked a bigger double bed, a more comfortable sofa bed as a sofa. The AC was not very responsive to the controls
