Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by EXCELLENT STAFF Whilst the maintenance and facilities left a little to be desired, the staff's efforts and attitude were absolutely excellent. Breakfast facilities were not sufficient to cope with a Sunday morning rush. Most disappointing of all - NO BACON in an ENGLISH hotel!!!! September 17, 2014

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Nice staff let down by hotel management The staffs were very niice, friendly and very helpful. The air con in the room was not working and the noise from the gym next door was very loud. Evening menu was very poor so had to drive into Norwich to eat. Breakfast was hardly anything available so had to stop at a Costa Coffee. Overall felt that the staffs were let down by the tools very poor value for money. September 8, 2014

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by not one of the better holiday inn hotels The parking was awkward and we were not advised on check in the need to give our registration to avoid getting a fine. The room was tired the ceiling was peeling from what looked like a flood from the room above. The shower again was tired and needed replacing with poor water pressure I have stayed in many holiday inn hotels across the country and this is definitely not one of the better ones and hope its on the list for improvement August 22, 2014

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Basic accomodation Front Desk reception very polite, and helpful, room was quite basic beds not very comfortable. Breakfast was pretty bad and not a very nice experience ended up waiting over 40mins to get hot food. Probably will not visit again. August 20, 2014

The staff were always friendly and helpful and although its a no frills experience, it works and they charge a fair price for what you get. If you are a Virgin Health member you also have the club next door which is very handy. August 18, 2014

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by An average stay This was my second visit to this hotel, it is located on a complex with Asda (Walmart) Supermarket, Virgin Active Gym and a forlorn abandoned ice skating rink. Room was quite adequate but the carpet was looking a bit tired and the shower curtain would have been much better being replaced with a screen door. Breakfast was adequate if only it had been replenished faster and the milk dispenser had been working on the first day. Internet was acceptable, but annoying having to register each time accessed. Tip: just make up an email address!. My main gripe was the elevator button to the 2nd floor did not work and was not rectified during my stay. Otherwise an acceptable stay at this HIE. August 8, 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by great place for city break we recently stayed here on a saturdy night , the staff on reception were really friendly and helpful , sorted taxi out , got me bus fares ,explained about the hotel , and all without being prompted , the hotel is about 10 mins from centre a £6.50 taxi fare ( free phone in hotel ) the room and bathroom was spacious , bed comfy , the hotel was full , and some guests were noisy , but that is not a hotel problem , just inconsiderate people , the breakfast had a good variety , the eating area was clean and had fresh flowers on table ( nice touch ) and a free paper to read with your breakfast , shall stay here agin , very easy to reach from the main road , and the staff really made it for me . It was a fleeting visit but I was so grateful to your male staff member during the breakfast service as I left my handbag on the back of a chair and he put it aside and tracked me down a little while later to return it. The lady at checkout was also very kind, when I told her my youngest had thrown up in the bed and had to leave the sheets in a horrible condition, she just asked that he was ok now. August 6, 2014

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by No AirCon and cant open windows I spent one sleepless night in this hotel as the room was really hot and the AirCon had broken. What made it worse was non of the windows could be open. When i went to complain all they offered was an old fan which was rubbish. I wouldn't come back. However it was clean and the breakfast was reasonable. July 28, 2014

However the breakfast was poor and the Disabled accessible room was not good poor in terms of Wheelchair manoeuvrability especially the wet room. Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Unpleasant stay I had stayed in this property previously and found it ok but my last 2 nights 15 and 16th july were rough. The room was so warm and air conditioner dysfunctional that I could not sleep at all the first night. I called and they kept resetting the ac but it did not improve. I suffered through out that night. The following night they gave me a portable ice block operating ac which made no difference that they had to move me in the middle of that night. The Ac in the room they moved me was not any better but I managed to sleep a bit, woke up in the morning unrefrshed and angry. To make matters worse the internet was not working. In the morning since no iron is provided in the rooms I went to ask for one only to be told there was none available and was told by the staff that one will be provided to me as soon as they could. Till I left for work 830am none was provided , I checked out and went to work with unironed clothes. This was a room I paid about £90 a night. It was traumatic . July 19, 2014
