Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by No Wi-Fi Apart from the staff who are excellent here, there is not a lot of positive. Overall the "Holiday INN" groups policy in charging for Wi-Fi at thier hotels is rubbish - different rates in every holiday inn you stay in. Norwich does not offer Wi-Fi in rooms even at a charge - there is a hard wire connection option !! Well Norwich better wake up to the fact that that Ipads dont have cable ports - and guess what, they are pretty common. At the very least for Gold Members Wi-Fi should be FREE April 24, 2013
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by cold rooms I have stayed at this hotel before,but the last time i stayed the rooms were cold .informed the reception ,they said that they would turn up the heating from the reception and the room would heat up in half an hour ,went out for our evening meal and then returned to the room stone cold they actually control the room temperature from the desk .we stayed two nights and on the second night they gave me the same spiel. I believe they were cutting costs by keeping the heating off . they provided small freestanding heaters as a pacifier but they were useless.I have stayed at a lot of holiday inns but this was the worst ever. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Clean comfortable stay in convenient location Stayed in a family room, the room was not made up for enough people on arrival, probably due to my error in the booking process...dealt with promptly and without any problems by the friendly reception staff. Clean and basic room and v quiet as requested in booking, very comfortable beds, we had a good nights sleep and would book again. Good priced and conveniently located hotel. The only downside to our stay was the breakfast was a little dried out, some of the items had obviously been kept in the hot cabinets a little too long! April 6, 2013
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Rooms has problem with heating I have just spent a easter break at the Holiday inn express Norwich. I had two uncomfortable nights as the room as freezing cold. After complaining to reception we were given a mini heater, but the heating in the room still wasnt warm. The reception staff brought another heater up but rather than fix the problem, a sticky plaster was put to try and rectify the situation. I believe the heating in the room is either restricted or set to summer setting either way the problem wasnt resolved for our stay (other people on the second floor complained as welll as our party). The breakfast selection doesnt get replaced quickly enough and felt it was under staffed. I would never go back to this hotel and brings the reputation of the brand down. The only plus side was that this hotel doesnt seem to attract drunk people waking everyone up. April 4, 2013

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Wedding Weekend 14 members of our family stayed for the weekend our niece got married in Norwich Cathedral. The hotel experience completed a wonderful weekend for us all. The rooms were warm, clean and comfortable. The staff were all friendly polite and helpful. We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. My wife is a wheelchair user and we found no obstacles or problems at all. February 11, 2013
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Awful Although I booked a smoking room as I smoke, I do expect it to have windows that open for this very purpose. There were no windows that could be opened. As well as this, the air conditioning wasn't working - there was someone at check-in complaining when I walked in. This resulted in an awful overnight stay. To top it off, non of the drinks had been replenished - so, nothing to drink at 11 o'clock at night. All in all, not worth the money by a long shot. I won't ever stay at this hotel again - very disappointing for them as I work in Norwich every week. I will be checking in at a well known Hall up the road which is far superior - both in room comfort and client services. February 6, 2013

The reception staff are always friendly and willing to help. The hotel is conveniently located, close to the city centre with easy parking. I enjoy the breakfast and there is plenty of choice. I think this hotel offers excellent value for money. January 15, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great place to stay !!! Our 4 day stay in this hotel was perfect. The staff were always very patient in dealing with our numerous questions and requests. They are certainly a very dynamic group of young people. Our room was very comfortable and bath was all OK. The breakfast offered more than enough hot and cold choices. The proximity to ASDA was an added feature for late night snacks. The number 28 bus to the centre was also conveniently located within 3 minutes walking. We hope to have another opportunity to stay here next summer. January 10, 2013

At this Holiday Inn Express everyone at the reception is very helpful and pays attention to the guest's needs - I can only recommend this hotel. The rooms are good value for money - the breakfast is "within UK hotel breakfast tradition": ok, but don't expect too much ... Overall a good place to stay (and there is a health club right next door ...) December 5, 2012
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent hotel and room Very good 3 night stay in this holiday inn. The staff were excellent and nothing was too much trouble for them. The only disapointment was the food, whilst breakfast is complimentary so we did not complain but the food was generally cold. We only ate in the restaurant on the first night and whilst the staff were excellent, again the food was very uninspiring especially for the price. We paid £4 for chicken strips, and 3 chicken dippers arrived. We ordered a burger and chips and a fish and chips. The curly chips on both portions were under cooked. The overall stay in the hotel was excellent as the staff made it, the only thing we left disapointed about was the food. November 17, 2012

The breakfast/dining area is light and airy and v clean, with food being replenished regularly during the busy times, again by v friendly staff. Overall a relaxing and pleasant mini break.
