Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Worst Hotel Stay of my life The room was clean and the bed comfortable. The rest of the experience was terrible. We were assigned room 206. This should be a storage room. It is located directly across from the elevators and just over the entrance. The noise from the area in front of the elevators woke us up several times a night. Each night (3), the guests would come back from the bars between 2 and 3 and shout to each other under our window. I expect this is the smoking area. The final day a large delivery truck came to the front at about 5am and let the diesel run for about 15 minutes waking us up. (having only slept since 3) The hotel is beyond it's last legs. The faucet in the sink barely functioned and it had most of the chrome scraped off. The shower enclosure was below builder grade. I have come to expect a refrigerator in your rooms, there was none here. Another disappointment. I am a loyal HI Express customer. This stay has caused me to question my loyalty. August 18, 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Electric Car Owner's Haven This hotel allows owners of electric vehicles to charge their cars using the 3 120v outlets around the hotel. One night I got a charge at 12a but the next I had to charge at 8a or the GFCI outlet would trip. The next few nights my car charged fine at 12a. The best outlet was in the rear of the building by the pool. Other outlets are either in Handicap spots or the side GFCI outlet kept tripping. I have a 2012 Chevy Volt. August 12, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Couldn't Ask for More Was skeptical of HIE, as I usually stay at other "upscale" properties. Boy, was I IMPRESSED. From the minute I walked in the door, I was treated like the most important guest there. My room was immaculate and spacious. The complimentary breakfast is amazing, and always fresh - healthy stuff, and my fav.: sausage gravy August 12, 2014
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by good staff but some problems and poor value for money Pros: 1) staff is attentive and responsive. when I needed to know where the water fountain was (there aren't any), Tina at the front brought out a bottle of water. 2) hot breakfast. the lady in charge is prompt and attentive 3) clean rooms with good toiletries. Cons: 1) broken weight machine and outdated treadmills in the fitness center. I gave up trying to use them and went outside for a jog instead. Later, an army guy was returning from the fitness room and I asked him his experience - he said the treadmill stopped all of a sudden during his workout! 2) room smelled of cigarette smoke when I would come in form the outside. I kept the window permanently ajar. I think some guests are smoking in their rooms and the air conditioning is distributing the smoke to everyone. Conclusion: the stay was okay but I shall be looking for another hotel with a better fitness center August 12, 2014
