Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Lobby Remodel Regrets We were attending a family wedding at a local winery and was referred to this property by the bride and groom due to location and availability of a shuttle to the event. They mentioned that when coordinating with the IHG staff, they were assured that the lobby remodel would be completed. When making the reservation approximately 90 days before the event, I was assured on the phone by the IHG staff that the remodel would be completed. The remodel was not completed which I expressed disappointment with to the IHG staff during check in. He did not express any consideration for our disappointment and simply went through the normal process of check in. The path provided through the construction zone was approximately four feet wide which required constant shuffling between guests when entering and exiting the facility. Also, this property only has one elevator which is used extensively by the cleaning staff throughout the day and would require typically 5+ minute waits each time used. Very disappointed that what should have been a wonderful event for us turned into a chore for everyone that attended (which was approximately 14 rooms total for the weekend). :(:(:(:( June 26, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Should the hotel be open during renovation? I have very mixed thoughts on writing a negative review due to the current renovation. I understand that hotels do need to be updated, but at what inconvenience to the customer? I booked the Holiday In Express in O Fallon for its location and the high standards that I have experienced with other IHG properties. We also influenced 3 other parties joining us in making reservations at here as well on the premise they would also have an enjoyable stay. On arrival, we were greeted by drywall construction as well as general construction debris trodden through the hotel. Signage was on the floor.The breakfast area was very cramped and forced many people to wait. Lastly, there was no relaxing lobby area to meet up with our party. My thoughts are that the hotel management should really have weighed the cost-benefit to customer satisfaction ratio in keeping this hotel open during renovation. The hotel rate we paid should have been for a fully-functioning hotel; not that of a hotel in renovation. There was no advertised whirlpool; it was paved over! Really there should have been a discounted rate, an updated website and more of an in-room apology notice or acknowledgement. On departure, I was also not given the opportunity to voice my concerns as the staff on reception seemed to be otherwise engaged. It was a disappointing stay. June 22, 2015
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Construction This hotel is under reconstruction, making it very uninviting. Workers blocking the hallways, noise, etc. No vending in the building and one ice machine on the 3rd floor. Customers should be told about the conditions and offered discounted rates. June 21, 2015

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Comfortable room Comfortable room. Great breakfast choices. Was in town for business and this hotel offered discounted rates. It was fairly close to our destination. Plenty of parking. There was construction in process so it was slightly inconvenient to move around the lobby. The only complaint I have is of the ice and vending machine not being on every floor. The lobby was a mess, as well as the breakfast room which had to include standing room only during busy periods of the morning. The A/C in our room was extremely LOUD; and there was no booklet listing amenities and nearby restaurants... disappointed! June 12, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by decent stay The room itself was very nice, recently updated. The bed was fairly comfortable, considering I'm used to a memory foam bed. What I didn't like was the fact that the lobby area was under a major construction and there was no notification of this or indication of this on their website. Second the pictures show a hot tub being on the property. It wasn't until I asked at check-in that the owner's/management decided recently to take the hot tub out because it was cheaper than replacing it. The hot tub is a feature I look for when booking a hotel. June 11, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Lovely Place We love this place. We have always found it clean, comfortable, quite, and convenient. It is our go-to-place when visiting all the attractions in St. Louis because of the location at the intersection of 61/40 and Hwy K. The staff is so great and we love what they are doing with the re-design of the lobby. I love that it is new enough none of the rooms were ever smoked in and the pool area is so fun.
