Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Place to Stay I stayed at this hotel for over a month. The rooms are clean and the bed is super comfortable. The hotel staff were fast, friendly, and helpful. My biggest complaint is there is an ice machine only on the 2nd and 4th floors which is pretty inconvienient after working 12 hour days, unless you happen to be on one of those floors. Not such a big deal if you're there for the weekend but if you're there for weeks it gets a bit aggrevating. I've never understood why a chain will spend $1M to build a hotel and not spring for 2 more $2500 ice makers for their guests. My small complaint is they served that bland unseasoned greasy sausage every morning for breakfast except the one day they served bacon. Bacon is the food of Kings. Serve it more often. Otherwise it was a great place to stay. December 7, 2014

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Check-in clerk messed up. Overall a good place. BUT - - Requested at online reservation an upper floor. On arrival was told the only available (King Suite) room was on the second floor (out of five floors) and we accepted that. The next morning I mentioned this to the (different) front desk person and asked if the upper flooors were closed, since there were only about 12 cars in the lot. She was confused and said the hotel was nearly empty and the upper floors were all available. What caused the check-in clerk to specifically turn down our request? December 1, 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by breakfast needs update The hot part of the breakfast buffet is not good. The eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy are very bad quality. I look at the buffet each morning to only see the same poor quality products and I walk passed them and drive to a local restaurant to get breakfast. They now have Turkey sausage which is not an upgrade and when passing by the buffet you could see no one was trying or eating it. No bacon was offered even though it too is poor quality being so thin it is usually just a greasy blob at all other Holiday Inn Expresses. I had to stay at a La Quinta in Jacksonville Texas earlier this year as the Holiday Inn Express could not get me a room but I was pleasantly surprised as they had Tennessee pride breakfast sausage and waffles which were very good. Also they had fresh cookies nightly which was nice after a long day whereas the Holiday Inn Express seem to have stopped this at the Tennessee location. I too wish their pool was indoors like the one in Clinton for year round use. I stay at this hotel in the Spring and Fall but the Pool is allways closed for the year. October 30, 2014
