I did enjoy my stay at this Holiday Inn Express but there were two issues that I did not like at all. (1) There were NO towel bars in the bathroom! So if you wanted to reuse your towel, the only place to hang it would be on the shower rod. And (2) breakfast is served on foam plates, bowls and cups which are so bad for the environment. Foam NEVER degrades and it's not recycleable. It's the worst possible material to use for disposable dinnerware.

The property was very well maintained. The staff was very accommodating and the friendly. The property is in a great location with many amenities nearby.

Let's start with the breakfast... Good quality, great variety, staff members on duty to either replenish food or clean area.. Room was clean and inviting, hallways and stairways were clear from clutter and the property just had a overall clean appearance... We enjoyed our stay and since my daughter lives in JC I know we will be back...

The location of the hotel is excellent. Is east to get in and out of and lots of restaurants are close and within walking distance.
The hotel is clean and neat and very nicely decorated. The breakfast is great, just like every other Holiday Inn Express. The breakfast area is nice and the staff there were fantastic about keeping the food items stocked and the tables clean.
The hot tub was not working while we were there although maintenance did try a couple of times to keep it functioning. The hotel staff referred us to the hotel next door ( they said it was their sister hotel) to use their hot tub instead. We did not take this advice since is was in the 20's and we didn't walk to walk accross the parking lot to another hotel just to use the hot tub.
We were on the second floor and apparently the room above us was a jacuzzi suite. We had a terribly loud noise and vibration in our room and when I called the front desk to ask for maintenance to come find out what the problem was, I was told that it was the jacuzzi in the room above us. It was so loud we couldn't even watch TV. We finally left the hotel for an hour or so in hopes the people would stop using the jacuzzi. Very poor design in our opinion...anything that makes that much noise and causes such a vibration that it can be felt in the walls and floor of the room below, should be put on the bottom floor.
While we had a bad experience, we would still recommend this hotel to others.

The fire alarm went off about 0620 and the hotel pretty much emptied out. I know these things happen unfortunately. The person working the front desk during this time was doing her best to remedy the situation. We decided to have breakfast then since we were awake. The person who was supposed to work the breakfast area showed up about 0700, so things were not going smoothly with the front desk person trying to run both areas. I applaud her efforts.
When we went to check out around 1100, I could hear people joking in the office behind the desk. I stood and waited a few minutes before I made enough noise that someone came out and waited on me. I asked for another receipt since mine must have gotten kicked out during the fire alarm. I asked what the alarm was caused by. She said she didn't know, that sometimes a shower sets them off. I told her that my wife nor I were able to get back to sleep after the alarm. She seemed to not even care and did not even come close to apologizing for the inconvenience, in fact acted kind of snotty that I mentioned it. I will not recommend this hotel based on her words and actions. This is by far the worst I have ever been treated at a Holiday Inn Express. I also was not recognized as a Gold Member on check in at all, which has only ever happend at one other hotel.

Staff wasn't overly excited, but did a good job. Clean and comfortable. Very newly remodeled feel. Would definitely stay again.

The hotel has a great location--close to shopping and restaurants; close to freeway (yet no noise). Easy to get to and it is a very nice and updated facility. Staff has been excellent each time we have stayed there and we enjoy the very substantial hot breakfast, too. Looking forward to our next stay!
