Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Property not up to par with other Holiday Inn Express properties. As a gold member I have stayed at many IHG properties and I must say this was not up to par. It was okay-just not what I have seen with other Holiday Inn Express properties. The staff was nice enough. The hotel seemed dated and a little dirty. The bath tub mat was also dirty and coming up in spots. A lot of construction noise which I guess was not really a reflection of the hotel but was there. August 2, 2014

Planning on a college visit and a long trip home starting that late afternoon, so it was important to be well rested. We definitely rested well while at the hotel. Staff very friendly; one problem that we had, the front desk sent someone right away and the staff fixed it. Staff very willing to ensure things were proper while we were there. The staff was very friendly (especially Tiffany - she was very friendly and helpful!) The rooms were clean and comfortable. I slept quite well. The bathroom was clean, there were sufficient supplies. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Donna I must say I have stayed at many hotels in different towns and cities....this hotel by far is the cleanest one yet! I could have eaten off the floor (not literally). When we arrived we were greeted by 2 young polite young ladies who had our paperwork ready on the desk. when we got to our room, the tv, telephone, and toilet was stopped up. I went back downstairs to report it and the girls immediately were on top of it and called someone to fix it. My husband and I left while the things were being fixed. When we came back everything was in working order. The room was so clean I slept well although the pillows were a little too fluffy for me. The bed was comfy. The breakfast was pretty decent and there was a variety of items. The hotel was a little pricy for the area and construction that was going on around it as well as the small town. I did notice a nice pool and laundry area that I thought was nice for guests(didn't use either one). Nevertheless, the customer service and cleanliness won me over! Highly recommend although the price was not where I would have liked it to be. We stayed there anyway due to the fact it was the closet hotel to where my son lived. July 10, 2014

Eran las 11 pm y estuvimos en la recepcion esperando con nuestra familia alrededor hasta las 12:15 mientras trataban de resolver su error! Estabamos agotados ya que veniamos de viaje por carretera, y la persona en la recepcion no fue muy amable con la situacion! Finalmente la habitacion que nos dieron estaba en terribles condiciones y el bano en muy mal estado. No recomendado, esta localidad no cumple con los minimos estandars que esperaba de Holiday Inn! Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Average at best. This location was just ok.. It was the least fancy HIE I have ever been to. Our room had a very mild funny stale smell and was a little outdated but the bed was comfy and the bathroom was clean. The pool area is good. The breakfast the next morning left something to be desired. The pancake machine was out of order and by 6:45 nearly all the food was gone (or maybe there was not much put out to begin with) there were a few pieces of freezer burnt turkey sausage and 1/2 a dozen stale biscuits. Besides toast, that was it for hot food. There was also cereal, yogurts and sticky buns. There's are no major issues with this Holiday Inn location.. I have just stayed at far better Holiday Inn Expresses. Ehh July 1, 2014

My only issue is with the use of disposable cups and glasses in the rooms as well the breakfast. I realize using reusable items presents some difficulties but I would be happier if we could conserve resources as much as possible July 1, 2014

But when I stayed on June 13,2014 it was one that I would soon forget. The room was not what I expected and the front desk clerk at checkout was not very friendly. It was a good choice. We experienced a clean, modern facility and a friendly, helpful staff. The location also had very good access to the roads used to get around the Orange City, Deltona, Sanford, Debary area. Also, plenty of restaurants, local attractions like Farmer's Markets, Parks, etc. in the area. June 11, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good Price for What You Get I stay at the Orange City Holiday Inn once a year (between 2006-2008 it was almost every 2 months while I was helping with my mother who lived in Deltona, FL). Staff has always been excellent. While I think the rooms need to be updated (as was the really nice lobby/breakfast area), they are still good for the price being paid. I wish they would put hand held showers in the tubs but understand that could be a problem with them missing after a stay. I was told that mini fridges are now in all the rooms. If true (I requested one because of meds needing refrigeration), that is a very good thing. Nice to have someplace to store a water or soda/snack. The new lobby also contains a mini store with drinks and snacks (as well as vending machines on the floors). Great if you don't have change for the machines. Wish the pool was still screened in to keep out the bugs but still okay. New PCs are much better than old ones. Just have to get anything you print from the lobby desk; did away with printer next to screen. Wide variety daily on hot breakfast food; lots of other daily breakfast items to choose from - won't go hungry. If you are on the run and can't sit and eat, you can get a carry box to take your breakfast with you - good idea. Overall, I've always found the Holiday Inn Express Orange City to be a good place to stay - both in accommodations and price. June 10, 2014

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Not really happy We had a reservation made several days in advance. When we arrived that night, they seemed to be short on rooms. We were given 520 which I think is all they had left. It was clean but in great need of updating and painting. The furniture was old and there was a poorly repaired patch on the ceiling. We stay at Holiday Inn Express quite frequently and this was not what we are accustomed to. We were quite disappointed with the room. Other services (staff, breakfast) were fine. June 3, 2014

I have a gluten intolerance and there were many options for me during breakfast. This hotel truly offers hot food, eggs, bacon, sausage, etc., as well as yogurt, fresh fruit, and many other options. There are numerous restaurants in the area and access to I-95 is very close, yet no road noise. It is a non smoking facility and does not allow pets other than service animals. And there are no feather materials in the room. If you have allergies, I highly recommend this location! We were very pleased with our stay. May 13, 2014

We were tired and didn't feel like changing rooms so dealt with it. Be sure to check the specific room you want. Here's the list of problems: 1) Drapes didn't fully cover window! Morning light was significant and unwanted. 2) A/C was very loud. 3) WAY too heavy use of disinfectant - nauseating. 4) Spa tub was dirty, liner was coming off, big gaps in the tile. 5) Refrigerator was loose and the door was hitting the wall making it nearly impossible to use. We really hit the jackpot,when we chose the Holiday Inn in Orange City,Fl Everything was perfect,and we could only find positive things about our stay.Clean room,comfortable beds,nicely appointed,a good supply of towels,and the room was very quiet.It was most pleasing that we were greeted by the front desk person,His name is Pete.What a nice gentleman he was to us and everyone.He is a real asset to the Holiday Inn.We hope that he is compensated accordingly.In our travels.we haven't meet anyone so cordial. My husband and I certainly will stay with your Inn again,if we come to your area,and will tell others about our experience.Management should also get a GOLD STAR!!! April 27, 2014
