Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good Price for What You Get I stay at the Orange City Holiday Inn once a year (between 2006-2008 it was almost every 2 months while I was helping with my mother who lived in Deltona, FL). Staff has always been excellent. While I think the rooms need to be updated (as was the really nice lobby/breakfast area), they are still good for the price being paid. I wish they would put hand held showers in the tubs but understand that could be a problem with them missing after a stay. I was told that mini fridges are now in all the rooms. If true (I requested one because of meds needing refrigeration), that is a very good thing. Nice to have someplace to store a water or soda/snack. The new lobby also contains a mini store with drinks and snacks (as well as vending machines on the floors). Great if you don't have change for the machines. Wish the pool was still screened in to keep out the bugs but still okay. New PCs are much better than old ones. Just have to get anything you print from the lobby desk; did away with printer next to screen. Wide variety daily on hot breakfast food; lots of other daily breakfast items to choose from - won't go hungry. If you are on the run and can't sit and eat, you can get a carry box to take your breakfast with you - good idea. Overall, I've always found the Holiday Inn Express Orange City to be a good place to stay - both in accommodations and price. June 10, 2014

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Not really happy We had a reservation made several days in advance. When we arrived that night, they seemed to be short on rooms. We were given 520 which I think is all they had left. It was clean but in great need of updating and painting. The furniture was old and there was a poorly repaired patch on the ceiling. We stay at Holiday Inn Express quite frequently and this was not what we are accustomed to. We were quite disappointed with the room. Other services (staff, breakfast) were fine. June 3, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Very Pleased The hotel was clean and the staff was pleasant and helpful, especially Pete and the breakfast staff. I have a gluten intolerance and there were many options for me during breakfast. This hotel truly offers hot food, eggs, bacon, sausage, etc., as well as yogurt, fresh fruit, and many other options. There are numerous restaurants in the area and access to I-95 is very close, yet no road noise. It is a non smoking facility and does not allow pets other than service animals. And there are no feather materials in the room. If you have allergies, I highly recommend this location! We were very pleased with our stay. May 13, 2014
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Good desk staff but room was sub-par Front desk people (Pete, especially) were fantastic. However, our room needed some attention. We were tired and didn't feel like changing rooms so dealt with it. Be sure to check the specific room you want. Here's the list of problems: 1) Drapes didn't fully cover window! Morning light was significant and unwanted. 2) A/C was very loud. 3) WAY too heavy use of disinfectant - nauseating. 4) Spa tub was dirty, liner was coming off, big gaps in the tile. 5) Refrigerator was loose and the door was hitting the wall making it nearly impossible to use. We really hit the jackpot,when we chose the Holiday Inn in Orange City,Fl Everything was perfect,and we could only find positive things about our stay.Clean room,comfortable beds,nicely appointed,a good supply of towels,and the room was very quiet.It was most pleasing that we were greeted by the front desk person,His name is Pete.What a nice gentleman he was to us and everyone.He is a real asset to the Holiday Inn.We hope that he is compensated accordingly.In our travels.we haven't meet anyone so cordial. My husband and I certainly will stay with your Inn again,if we come to your area,and will tell others about our experience.Management should also get a GOLD STAR!!! April 27, 2014

The staff always makes us feel welcome and the rooms are always clean and comfortable. The only thing I wish they would change would be their breakfast hours. They are only till 9:30 during the week and when we are on vacation we like to sleep in so we usually miss their great breakfast. April 19, 2014

This trip however was for personal use and all dealings with staff went extremely well. The reservationist was courteous and prompt. Upon arrival, the desk clerk was fast, friendly and appeared genuinely glad to take care of me. Every time I re-entered the facility, the desk staff was friendly and never failed to inquire of my satisfaction. Upon checkout after a 4 night stay, the transaction was again prompt, courteous and professional. Overall I would rate this experience as A-1. April 16, 2014

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by extremely clean and comfortable! we were staying overnight on our way to fly out of Orlando international and this hotel was perfect. the staff was really friendly. Chris I believe was his name welcomed us upon arrival and was so courteous! The room was very clean, the hotel overall was very clean and nice. Breakfast was great and the hotel is close to many restaurants and the interstate which was convenient for us. The only complaint I have was that water in the shower was not hot enough. That could be because it was around 530- 6pm when maybe everyone else in the hotel was taking showers I don't know. it didn't seem to be a problem the following morning for my husband but the night before it was just warm, not hot. Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Wi-Fi signal was weak Was on the third floor, the wi-fi signal was really spotty. Was pretty strong right by the door, got weak at desk, and by the time I made it to the bed signal would be lost. I asked for another room, which I was transfered to another room on third floor, but the signal wasn't any better. On top of that I printed email by using their business center. When I asked if I could get 10 copies, I was charged a $1.00 for the copies, a first for me in my 11 yrs of staying at IHG hotels. March 19, 2014

The front staff attentive and extremely desired to go above and beyond. If I have business in the area again, will definitely stay again. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good place to stay I stayed here with 5 of my friends over a weekend when the hotel was almost at capacity. We had 3 rooms next door to each other. We found the staff to be extremely friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good. Our rooms were good. Linens were very good; lotions and other beauty items were very good. We were able to use the breakfast room to play cards and entertain ourselves. The handicap accessible room needed bars in the shower; the exhaust fan in the bathrooms needed cleaning. The hotel is convenient to shopping and restaurants. This was a very pleasant experience and I would not hesitate to stay here again. February 16, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great stay, clean room, safe, convenient to interstate and activities I chose this location and hotel because of the Holiday Inn brand as well as my desire to visit "Blue Springs State Park" which is only about 5 miles away from here. I made the reservation a head of online and had no issues at check-in. There were quite a few cars in the parking lot when I got there around 11 pm, which to me is a good sign that it is a good hotel. Check in and out were seamless. The room was clean, with the only issue being a slight one and that was with the tv reception. The digital service they used wouldn't get in any of the regular national channels clearly (ABC, CBS, NBC) and the stations wouldn't stay tuned, although I was able to get some other smaller channels to come in so I eventually found something to watch while I went to bed. Not a big deal to me because I was there to sleep and get up and travel again. The morning breakfast had a wide variety and was hot and fresh. They were replenishing things pretty fast too. I would stay here again because it was 100% on being clean, safe and convenient. February 13, 2014

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Repeat Customer We stay at this hotel usually once a month. We always check in late on Fridays and are greeted by Pete who is a pleasure to deal with all the time. I have never had a problem with him. This visit we had to call and pospone our trip by 2 weeks. When I called into the hotel, Nicole answered the phone and was not personalable AT ALL. She was rude, cut me off numerous times and was not until I asked willing to offer to change my reservation to another day. She informed me I would be charged since it was the day of our arrival. Period, no offer, no sympathy, no nice customer service. I did not like speaking with her at all. The fan in the air conditioner in the room was so loud it woke us up every time it came on. We had to turn the tv up loud to hear over it. The housekeeping staff was so loud in the hall it woke us up. We work late into the night when we are in FL and like to sleep in a little. This was the first time we had an issue with the volume of the housekeeping staff. It was not a pleasant visit. February 5, 2014

The staff at this one is outstanding in terms of knowledge and helpfullness, however I will not be able to stay at this location in the future. Only the rooms here always have an overpowering odor of air freshener which bothers me with watery itchy eyes, but this last time it was so bad that I began to wheeze. I did not have the room cleaned after the first night, yet it was still far too strong the next day for me to be comfortable. I mentioned it to staff because I felt it may cause a severe reaction in asthmatics, and they said they had changed to "green" products and less people were bothered. The staff member even offered to make special arrangements for me next time, which was very nice, but I am concerned about the type of products being used, and the amount, and will not take a chance. We initially got 'lost' trying to find it from the airport, but in calling the night clerk - Norma - she provided excellent directions to get us there safely and settled down for a good night's sleep. The bathroom was tired, but clean. The shower had the most unusual spray I had ever seen and was less than satisfactory. I was pleased with the refrigerator, flat screen tv and comfortable bed. Given the price, my brief overnight stay gave me a good night's sleep and was most adequate. January 12, 2014

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Super quick check-in, comfortable rooms (2 rooms booked), and great breakfast Everything was fantastic except for a clean room. Check-in by Pete was quick. Very knowlegeable and made you feel welcomed. Breakfast provided was wonderful. Good variety and staff was efficient. In evening, persons in other rooms in this hallway were loud - appeared to be foriegn speaking construction workers with some of their families. Loud talking & laughter. The rooms appeared to have been recently rennovated but displayed some poor cleaning. Bathroom fixtures in shower/tub drain needs repairs, tub mat needs cleaning or replacement, and a good vaccum cleaning along walls to pick up contractor's dust. But it is a great place to settle down and take a break between destinations. December 31, 2013
