While the room showed evidence of use over time the condition and cleanliness were acceptable at the price charged for the room. I will return to this location on my next trip to FL.

The Holiday Inn Express at Orangeburg SC is close to the exit on I26 - easy to find and easy on and off. The facility was very clean, the beds excellent and the breakfast was excellent.

We stayed at another hotel a few nights prior to the Holiday Inn stay. Bedding including a duvet at that hotel, not Holiday Inn.
Pillows at Holiday Inn are awful, one gigantic and one flat as a pancake. Uncomfortable to sleep on them.

Service and accommodations were fine/excellent.
The exception was the bath exhaust fan which was annoyingly noisy and turned on whenever the light was turned on, no separate switch. Also the wash basin faucet leaked at the handle allowing water to flow onto the counter top, soaking the wash cloths and other items in the area.
Hotel entrance was not obvious.

I never write hotel reviews as a rule. I am flexible and understand the pressures of the service industry and management. Compelled to write this one because of two very bad points. 1) Misinformation upon check-in (but she may not have been aware). 2) Failed customer service upon check out by early morning staff. No, I wasn't mad, or making any nasty comments. Just observed the poor handling of check-out and the total lack of friendliness or care of my bill. I just went through the motions, held my tongue and decided to write a review. Please be alerted to a non-follow through of service or helpfulness. Noted not to stay at Orangeburg Holiday Inn Express. Bad business practices.
